Aisha, atleast for now, doesn't feel the need for stealth. She moves to the door with alacrity and attempts to push/pull it open. Intent on finishing this last task, as she always had been. They only had one more evil being to defeat. One more.... She sighed. Maybe they wouldn't be as lucky this time. Maybe they would. But she continued on through the door, doubting that the portal room would be trapped considering all the defenses before it.
Turning the corner, Aisha opens the door adjacent in the hallway into a 15-foot-square dry and dusty chamber. Shackles are on the walls, and dried blood is splattered on the floor in front of a tired and beaten tabaxi - indeed, a tabaxi of Toril, though at first glance the bruised features, matted fur, and the intricate patterns of dagger cuts make it difficult to separate her from one of Rikirta's Kitsune or Nekomata.
She is alive but barely conscious, and though she does not react to the party's presence, she is immediately recognizable to Aisha.
There's a long moment where Aisha simply looks at the Tabaxi in front of her. Taking longer for her brain to register what she's seeing because... why would she be in this world... let alone here? There's another few long moments as she tries to decide if perhaps she was seeing things, I mean, she had to be, right? Her sister wasn't summoned, and if she was, why hadn't they seen her before now?
It was then that she snapped out of it, it didn't matter if this was her sister or not, because if it was, and she hesitated too long in the shadows of doubt and confusion.... yes, as she had since coming here, she pushed forward towards the goal, for her sisters sake. And if this was not her sister, she would be the luckiest cat in the world today.
Rajiira!Aisha shouted as she dove forward at who she believed was her sister, and the only other being in this world who would get as much true love from Aisha as T'savi. Aisha pressed both her hands to the Tabaxi's arms after the proper weave was done, Casting Cure Wounds (lv2) on who she believed to be her sister. (11) and Healing Spirit right after, to help close any lingering gashes... (first and second healing waves: 3 + 3)
OOC: I'm only seeing one 2nd level spell slot remaining for Aisha on her sheet. Did you mark those spells off, Rai? Otherwise, she would only be able to cast one of those spells here.
The tabaxi finally gazes upward with some clarity as magic seals the worst of her wounds. Recognition quickly floods into her exhausted form.
Harmony had followed Aisha, surprised to see the shackled Tabaxi before hearing what Aisha said. No way, that's her sister?! How did she end up here in this world though?? "So you're Aisha's sister. She's been wanting to get back to you for so long. But how did you end up here? What happened?" Harmony had asked Rajiira, glad that the two sisters have reunited now even though it's not in the best circumstances.
Aisha was goign to ask the same question that Harmony did but she already asked it, so instead, Aisha said other things... Yes... how did you get here? who brought you? And what did they tell you of this one's fate? Aisha was nyever told you were here, she thought you were back home, Aisha has been fighting dieties and monstrosities to save you from this world... indirrrectly..
"It...it was Kayel!" Rajiira answers, clearing her throat. "He told me everything, how Gyabrielle, Ginan, and Tylyn betrayed this world's pact and wish to destroy it. He told me how you had been chosen but had failed, turned to ice by a bala-- a baskalik-- an icy snyake. I was coming to save you! But it appears it is you who had to save me...again."
"Kayel told me I could styop their ritual here, that it would thaw you. I came here with others - from the Order of Callisto in Arketh. I don't knyow what happened to them. They were expecting us. We were ambushed, by the Red Dragon Sorcerers, and I was brought here. They needed my blood, for something. They...took a lot of it."
Aisha's eyes searched her sisters face, as well as the wall around her as she listened to her breif explanation (and if the players memory serves..) That all sounds rrroughly the opposite of the story we were told. By the ones he claims betrayed the worrld. Which means one of the two grrroups is lying. But so farr, much to Aisha's chag.. Chig... annoyance, they do nyot seem to have led us ashtray.
We arre trying to stop a rritual ourrselves - and we have nyot seen anyone else except the undead here. But we also do nyot have much time... if we let this go off... assuming what the three said is true... if we stop this one, ourr mission is over. Sister - Are you hale enough?she asks with genuine concern but trepidation clear in her voice.
Aisha does not wish to leave you here alone, in case there is undead still lurq.. about that we somehow missed, and though Aisha does not wish you to be in harrms way either, but if we do nyot stop what is going on.... this world will die, and it will destroy ourrs as well. So I would rather fight and succeed or die by your side, than maybe fail, with our last meeting together being.. here.
(If the information is needed, Rajiira was made as a Monster Slayer or giant slayer... i forget what its called but at lvl 11ish they get a shot that allows them to shoot every target within like 5 feet of the main target. Also - whether Rajiira could come or not, Aisha will press forward after this, for the same reason she always has: If we don't stop this, all is lost anyway)
Rajiira stands, but falters, leaning back on the wall for support. "I don't know how long I was here like this before you found me," she says. "I will not be any help in a fight, but I think I can move...slowly. If you want me to follow...I will nyot get in the way."
Harmony listened to the other, shocked at how she had been lied to by Kayel about everything and her sister. "We'll make sure to protect you then!" she had said back to her, feeling awful that she ended up like this.
(Would a Greater Restoration have any effect on Rajiira, take off an exhaustion? If it would, Harmony would go over and cast it on her.)
OOC: It would indeed be able to remove a level of exhaustion from Rajiira.
Removed the greater restoration spell components from Harmony's inventory.
Rajiira sighs as the effects of Harmony's restorative magic sink in, removing weight from the tabaxi's shoulders. "Ahh, this is powerful magic you wield. I think I may still slow you down, but Rajiira will do her best to keep up," she says.
She hesitates as she ponders what Aisha has been saying. "Sister, are you saying that you are trying to stop Kayel?"
Aisha sighs, and thanks Harmony for the use of her spell, AIsha honestly hadn't been aware that Harmony was capable of such a thing, though AIsha was also not aware of Rajiira's levels of exhaustion, she thought it was simply deep wounds. But Aisha's never been a shaman.
Regardless, when asked, Aisha nods solemnly. Yes sister. Aisha doesnyot trust Ginan or the others either but they have so far nyot led us astray, and...Aisha is loathe to admit, saved us a few times, so that puts them just above Kayel. That and Aisha has seen first hand the summoning attempts.
Do not worry overmuch sister, For we are both archers. Aisha will give you her bow if we cannot find one on the way. You can help from afarr. Harmony will stay near you so you are not alone Aisha says, volunteering her since both can attack from range And Aisha will take a closer approach.
But come all, the sooner we deal with this, the sooner it is done, and if the porrtal and summoning is almost complete... we cannyot afford to rest another day...
