Sennet watches from a easily closeable distance with his Glaive ready, as he is unsure what these creatures motives are. He looks to the others. "Let's keep an eye on these 2. We don't know their motives."
As he hears a voice in his head, Alex looks up, stubs his toe on a rock, trips, slams into the wall of the cave, and lands looking upside down at the strange group of people staring at him. "Hi.... um.... how did you do that? That was fascinating. It was very strange. Oh and I wasn't following you. There was a group of hooked horrors I was studying. Well attempting to study. See. A group of gnolls attacked our expedition. They got distracted by the horrors and me and my companion followed them. But you are very interesting." The tiefling begins writing in his book again.
The dwarf is a beardless female dwarf dressed in priestly vestments over mail armor. She has a very serious look on her face. "We're not following you, we're following the gnolls who killed the rest of our expedition! Not that we're gonna bloody find our way to the surface alone, but here we are. Sister Evangelina, healer and warrior at your service."

"Ooh. An Elder god? That sounds fascinating. You must tell me more," Alex says as he stands up and brushes his clothes off. He puts his book away and leans on his staff. "As my companion said, we are slightly lost. I have been to engrossed in my studies to keep track of where we are and our guide died. Where did you lot come from?" As Finn asks, Alex turns slightly redder, "Oh my goodness. I completely forgot to introduce myself. I am Alex Gunther, author of "Horrifying Monsters and Where You Shouldn't Find Them " and other such books. I am a scientist and study all manner of creatures. My current fascination is hooked horrors. There is surprisingly little on them in the great libraries of the world and I mean to change that."
"So would you say that you're somewhat knowledgeable on any baddies that we may come across?" He looks to the rest of the group. "Might be useful, a healer/warrior and a scientist. Leastways someone who knows how to kill the things we don't, avoid the ones we can't. One to watch our back and heal us when hurt. What do we say then, mates? Shall we both join together and the hell out of this damned cave?"
"Yishaagh'dru. That's their name. A rock fell from the sky! It was a huuuge rock. Like. Huge." Crowfell yammers at Alex, and by extension the rest of the group. He stares upwards at the rocky overhead for a moment. Trying to recall. "I stuck my hand in it. I like... it was a strange pull, okay? And then. It stabbed me! And then! I had a vision of Yishaagh'dru. He was biking! Bigger than a mountain! Bigger than Waterdeep! Bigger than the Underdark itself! I tore a piece off of him, mentally, and since then, we have communicated! I've been teaching him how to be a good person and he's been teaching me how to use magic!" All of these exclamations have him flapping his arms about. "He doesn't have any doctrines yet. He wants to learn about morality and understand us."
Alex whips his book back out and begins to write furiously. He perks up at the mention of demons. "I must say I have not studied demons before. However more demons appearing is indeed fascinating. What types of demons have you been encountering? How have they been acting? Tell me more."
"Only good demon is a dead one. No good comes of studying such dark ways. I would be glad to join up, provided you do intend to return to the surface eventually."

"But Yishaagh'dru isn't a demon." Crowfell corrects. There's a few beats. "oh you're not calling him a demon. Well. An ooze -talked.- Said something about the Faceless Lord."
"Who is Demogorgon, Crowfell? I've never heard that name before. As for intent, Sister, we're trying to get to the surface right now....tthese two goblins claim to know where the exit is and are guiding us there now"
"Do you remember that really big demon that attacked the village? That is Demogorgon. We would have died if we faced him in... Six seconds." There's a beat. Then. "I thought they were taking us to one of the cities, and after a warm soak and a comfortable bed, we would have exited from there."
"You mean they were going to feed us to that thing!?!" Finn says, eyes wide in a look of horrific realization. "I thought they just wanted us to prevent a religious civil war."
Sennet lowers his Glaive when he sees that the two seem to not mean harm and speaks up. "I'm all up for pleasantries, but if you forgot, we're getting pursued. How about we talk at the next city."

"Don't worry. I'm finding out." Crowfell explains.

Clucking his tongue, Crowfell observes the fella for a few moments, before responding. "I'm a priest of an elder god beyond our comprehension."

Finn looks from Evangelina to the teifling and says, "I am Finn McTire, and who might your teifling friend be?"

"Do you happen to know why the demons seem more... More? Than usual." Crowfell cuts in.
