And with one final shot...hitting squarely in it's main eye, Kel sends the fiend back down to the depths from which it came, cries of demon play echoing as it fades into the darkness below. Your goblin guides offer their thanks and urge you quickly to the other side of the chasm, at long last. Feeling the secure ground of the terrain on the other side of the chasm, the group seems to find some relief at last. What do you want to do?
Kel heaves a heavy sigh of relief the moment their clawed feet touch the ground on the other side of the chasm. Then, they turn to the part, gesturing them close. "I can heal if we need it," they offer, wiggling their talon'd fingers. "That is probably not the last thing we are going to run into."
Finn puts a hand to his head, his fingertips gently rubbing his temple. "My brain feels funny," he says taking a few awkward steps to join the party, "like a thick fog is keeping me from thinking clearly. Anyone have a remedy for that?"
(OOC: I'm unclear how long confusion lasts, is it just til end of combat or would I need to have it removed by healing or a rest?)
The goblins shrug and point to the end of the cavernous ledge the had arrived on. Down towards the end was a hole in the wall, just large enough for some larger humanoids to walk through easily. "That way!" They begin scurrying off...
If you are low on rations at this point (and you probably should be), you can try to scavenge for food and water (unless someone has the spell to make it). If you want to search, make a Survival check.
We'll check again next long rest. If you haven't found food and water by then, there will be consequences. :)
As you start off again and keep an eye out for something edible, you come across some fungus growing along the wall, a sort of rippling bunch that resembles rotting meat, although it doesn't have a strong smell. You recognize this as Ripplebark. While it doesn't look that great, it is surprisingly edible, and manage to gather about 8 pounds of it, which should last you a couple days.
As you continue to wind your way through the seemingly endless dark, you all begin to hear some odd yells, screeches and chittering, the sound of claws ripping across stone and animalistic shouts. You come around a corner and nearly get bowled over by two screeching hook horrors being quickly pursued by some very raucous gnolls! They disappear into a nearby cavern, and as you watch them leave you see another figure following the group as well. A dwarf, by the looks of it...
Behind the dwarf, you see a wiry tiefling. He is holding a book in his hands that he if furiously scribbling in by a small bit of light poking out of his sleeve. Dressed in a long brown fur coat and loose tan jackets, the tiefing has a long staff slung over his back. In his hair are dozens of flowers and an antler crown. His red tail flicks behind him eagerly. He is absorbed in his writing and doesn't seem to notice you.
Cromwell gets closer. And closer. And closer to the duo. Within 30 feet of the two. He stops in his tracks. The tiefling would feel a strange presence in his mind. It does not belong. It's not probing. It's just alien and strange. "Hello! You seem to be following us. Why?" Despite it feeling like it doesn't belong to this reality, the tone is friendly.
Awakened Mind
Starting at 1st level, your alien knowledge gives you the ability to touch the minds of other creatures. You can telepathically speak to any creature you can see within 30 feet of you. You don’t need to share a language with the creature for it to understand your telepathic utterances, but the creature must be able to understand at least one language.

No Longer Active
"You're a cleric?" Crowfell cocks his head. "Kay. Fine. I need healing over here."
Finn puts a hand to his head, his fingertips gently rubbing his temple. "My brain feels funny," he says taking a few awkward steps to join the party, "like a thick fog is keeping me from thinking clearly. Anyone have a remedy for that?"

(the confusion only lasted during combat, you'd be fine by now :) )
"Now that we've crossed, where's the exit?" Finn asks the goblins, looking around for a tunnel or some indication which way to go.

Survival: 11
(Nothing found, it's pretty desolate where you looked)
Survival: 2
(Not looking good for you either!)
(I'm so bad I lose rations lol)
Finn drops his pack and pulls out a ration and starts to eat it. "Anyone have any firewood? I have a tinderbox so that we could have a hot meal."
Crowfell will help the next survival check. Meaning. Advantage.
Sennet Survival Check: 11

"Hello there!" Says a voice in the dwarf's head. "Who are you? You can't respond to this message, so uh... just shout if you're friendly!"
Meanwhile. Crowfell stares at the dwarf in concentration.
