The Dine Inn is a five story building with a lovely restaurant on the ground floor. Polished oak floors, fine dark cherry tables, and a large chandelier hanging from the ceiling is accentuated by the soft aroma of rich food, the gentle tones of the piano being played, and the sharp tinkling of silverware. In stark contrast to the tavern, everyone here seems very uptight and finely dressed. Pure white tablecloths cover portions of the tables and rugs lead up the stairs nearby. The receptionist, an elven woman in a suit, ask you;
“Hi, and welcome to Dine Inn. How may we make your day shining?”
Beatrix steps in and loudly states "Good evening my lady, my name is Beatrix, and agent of METAL along with my companion (she gesture to Bryant if he has entered) if you know the organisation. I am here at the behest of the great conqueror Aeneas Northstar, perhaps you have heard of him, Warlord and Champion of the People. We come seeking food, shelter and if you would kindly oblige, information. We seek to end the raids that have cause such suffering locally."

We come seeking food, shelter and if you would kindly oblige, information. We seek to end the raids that have cause such suffering locally."
Before entering, Aeneas polishes any smudges off his armor, and checks his hair and face in his mirror-like shield. Holding his helmet in his arm, he struts into the building.
Seeing the interior, the paladin thinks to himself, Huh, never would have expected a swanky place like this in a village as small as Drakeriver. Where do all these snooty types live?
To the elven receptionist he says (aloud in Elvish) "Greetings my dear, what a charming establishment you have. It is almost as beautiful as you are."Then, switching to Common, "I am Aeneas Northstar." (a slight bow here) "I see you have met my companions. If you could show us to a table, we wish to partake of some refreshment. In addition, we are here on a mission, seeking information about some recent goblin raids, possibly involving some sort of flying vessel. If any of your staff or clients have information to share, it would be appreciated."
The woman almost faints from flattery and awe as she gazes upon you. You brilliance is so electric that your very presence sends the entirety of the establishment silent. Everyone turns towards you and would be more than willing to answer any questions you had, if any of them knew the answers. These snooty people are far more concerned with the mine found nearby than some raids on goblin camps. As far as they are concerned, the goblins got what those savages earned and that’s that. You are shown to the best table in the house with the offer of free food and drink for the night.
(OOC: Most of these people would have been property owners, realtors, and with the Dine Inn the only “adequate” establishment, they flock to this place to keep up appearances)
"I would be pleased to hear more of this mine. What sort of minerals or gems are found therein? Is it a recent discovery?
"As far as these raids go, we merely want to investigate the camps to ensure that there is no danger to the town or its inhabitants. Could someone direct us to the locations of these camps that were raided?"
Aeneas catches the attention of the receptionist, and beckons her over. In Elvish,he says, "My lady, would you mind asking the kitchen and stable staff if they have any information that would be of use to us?"
A portly couple nearby (the man is in black and the lady is in orange) begin chattering about the mine.
”Oh this mine holds many materials, coal, granite,”
”Iron, spiders ohohoho”The lady chitters, her laugh joyless and tittering.
”Yes indeed. Why would you worry of this quaint town anyhow? I personally wouldn’t mind re-investing in a lakeside resort if this place became demolished. But I do know where the camp was, the closest raid was, I believe, in, erm…”
”Just inside Wolf Wood, around Neadle’s Peak darling”
”Yes of course, Neadle’s Peak,”
The waiter nearby nods at your request and hurries to the kitchen to ask.
You hear a hollow thumping and laborious breathing headed down the hall towards you. Soon, an old man leaning on his cane walks in and sees you. He says;
”Here to see the depute is ye? Follow me then,” He says, not waiting for an answer and heading back down the hall he came from, dark brown cloak in tow.
Valeria quickly collect her things and follows the old man down the hall. "Would that be the deputy´s deputy then you think?" She whispers to Rahkinchu and Sinver smirking.
(OOC - Somehow I missed several posts... editing slightly. )
Rahkinchu sighs as well, her shoulders dropping a bit in disappointment. She watches Valeria take a seat and hovers nearby a moment. "Guess we wait." She decides not to sit and instead starts to pace around slowly.
Once ther old man appears, she waits for Valeria to collect her things then follows the man. She chuckles at Valeria's joke.
Bryant takes his seat at the table and looks kindly to the elf, "Thank you for your hospitality I'll have the house special it has been a long journey. We will also require a few rooms while are in town, I am sure they are in quite the demand but if you would have some available it would be appreciated."
At the mention of the raids he would look over toward the couple and say, "That is very helpful information; there is a rumor of goblins being involved in the raids. We have also heard whispers of an airship though no one seems to concerned about that..."After a moments pause he would ask, "Is this Neadle's Peak far? If you could just give us some direction I'd like to take a look around in the morning."

The old man isn’t hard to keep up with and he leads you down a dimly lit hallway full of medals, pictures, and certificates. The door at the end of the hallway is a simple oak door with a wrought iron handle. The man then says
”Just through there” in his raspy voice before shuffling back to an open door you didn’t notice before.
Aeneas will study the couple to see if they are being evasive or dishonest.

"Sir, Madam, we thank you for the information. While this village is quaint, it is our sworn duty to protect all peaceful peoples from hostile forces. If you notice anything else unusual in town, please do not hesitate to inform us. We will be staying here at the Dine Inn, and you can leave messages for us with the proprietor."
Thinking to himself, Man, this place is pompous. I preferred the tavern! Looking around,Hmm, I wonder where Beatrix went?
Valeria tries to catch some information from the medals, pictures and certificates while walking down the hall. Perception:15 As the old man leaves them by the oak door she turns the wrought iron handle and enters.
Rahkinchu nods to the man as he slips off. "Uh, thanks." She then pulls on the iron handle to open the door and steps inside. As she enters she glances around.

(Or follows Valeria! Seem to keep missing posts today!)
@Valeria; It’s just commemoration pictures, medals of honor, accomplishment certificates, and memorabilia. Nothing special about it.
@Rahkinchu; You notice everything from the circle stains on the wooden desk to the man passed out on the couch surrounded by paperwork. The moonlight streams in through the blinds as a fire smolders in the fireplace, casting a warm glow over the room.
(Beatrix manages to sneak into the kitchen and finds, HUuuuuGH! Food! How dare they serve FOOD in a RESTAURANT!)
@Rob; They seem to be telling the truth, especially the bit about not being bothered if this town got demolished.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"Hrm, excuse us, we are here to see the deputy." Valeria says, feeling a bit awkward over having to wake the man up while glancing over the paperwork. Perception to notice any reports on flying ships:22
"Oh!" Rahkinchu exclaims as she sees a man asleep on the couch. She speaks loudly to try to wake him. "Excuse me? Sorry! We're looking for the Deputy?"
She looks over at her companions with a shrug, not sure what else to do if that doesn't work.

All of the reports surrounding him appear to be sites that have been hit by these raids. Coastal towns, forest camps, caravans…
