Stormraider Keep (A M.E.T.A.L. Campaign)

Aurelius will show Elyria back to the hideout, showing her how to open the tree.
"Flynt is inside.  I have left Yoë  on lookout duty, should I retrieve her to hear this as well?"

Elyria follows Aurelius inside and gives Flynt a warm smile and a nod as she sees the lawman, finding a seat, drinking some water from her waterskin before speaking.
"I will tell you what I know and we can decide what Yoë should know as well." She starts grimly. "I believe the amulet is now prepared to be able to allow us all to enter Leylatha's fortress, but I suspect there is some hidden enchantment there as well, not necessarily detrimental to us, but we must be ready for the unexpected. While away in Alvahollow I have talked a lot to Sabynn who confided to me her suspicions that Lady Sylmare is not what she seems. In fact from what she has told me I suspect Lady Sylmare to be some kind of powerful hag. She has an ogre mage advisor disguised as an old man with her and seems to be gathering dark allies for a war. I'm not sure if any of this will matter when we free Rahkeshi but I may not be able to leave the Feywild before Lady Sylmare and her sisters have been dealt with, one way or the other." She says, then holding up the amulet from her pocket. "As it may bear some nefarious enchantment I will only wear it as we enter Leylatha's fortress." She says, then putting it back. "I hope all has been well with you my friends?"

Flynt returns Elyrias smile with a grin of his own accompanied by his customary tipping of his hat. "It's good to see you made it out." He says. After hearing what Elyria has to say Flynt is quiet for a moment before taking a deep breath in. "Sounds like time is of the essence. We should be on our way as soon as possible. Hopefully tomorrow morning." 

(Did Yoë say something about a month until Rahkeshi could leave or am I confusing things again?)

Aurelius ponders this new information.

"When you say you 'may not be able to leave the Feywild' do you mean you are unwilling to do so until it is resolved, or is there some spell or covenant keeping you here?

"I am willing to help the Eladrin throw off these impostors, but I'm not sure that the three of us can take on an army.  Even I have my limits."

To Flynt he says, "I agree, but we cannot take Rahkeshi until her year of service is completed.  We'll have to ask  Yoë  if the time has passed."

Considering further,  he wonders aloud, "The amulet has some hidden enchantment?  Surely it must be some trap or curse if the relic was handled by a hag."

To himself, he thinks A hag... that explains why she was so resistant to my charming banter and noble physique.  I thought I was losing my touch...

"I'm not sure, but I suspect the hidden enchantment could allow an ally of Lady Sylmare's, maybe that ogre mage, to also enter Leylatha's fortress, maybe to assassinate her, or simply to try to steal something, maybe what Rahkeshi is carrying, the items both Lady Sylmare and Leylatha covets" Elyria says, unpacking some bisquits from her backpack. "There is no spell keeping me here, but I feel obligated to help the good people of Alvahollow by exposing their evil ruler. Hopefully they will take care of the rest themselves." She suggests as she nibbles at one of the bisquits.

 (She did say that.  About a month left before her year of service is concluded.) 

"I think we should bring Yoë  into the conversation," says Aurelius.  Unless there are objections, he will go outside and invite her in.

"If we have a month to wait, we might be able to work on retrieving the artifacts Flynt is looking for.  Have you checked the compass lately?

"Elyria, is the amulet a one-use only artifact, or could we come and go multiple times?

"Do you have any thoughts on how we might expose the hags?  Is there some way to dispel the illusions they use to disguise themselves?"

Yoë follows Aurelius back inside. "I didn't see anyone following. Hopefully you got away without them knowing where you went!" she says.  "So, what did I miss? Are we going to go free Rahkeshi?"

Elyria nods as Aurelius goes to get Yoë. 
"As far as I can tell we can use it more than one time, but even though I would very much to meet with Rahkeshi...to make sure she is safe, I would prefer to not use the amulet until we are about to free her." Elyria says, looking at the others.
"I'm not sure how to expose them, yet, but I suspect there could be some kind of magic that could. Perhaps we could return to Gwyllinwald for advice on this?"

She then turns to Yoë. "Yes, we are going to free her, as soon as possible, but I thought you said that couldn't be done ij  another month, or did I get that wrong?" She asks the satyr.

Yoë says, "Well, yes, her commitment under fey rules binds her to stay in Leilatha's service for another month."  She then goes quiet.  "I'm not sure what happens after.  Or what happens if we took her from there before the time is up.  From what I know of Lady Leilatha, she'd probably have something in mind."  

"I believe someone claimed that Sylmare or Leilatha were associated with the Winter Court.  We could take our accusations there, and see if they would investigate, but I'm not sure how welcome we would be."

Flynt says "Good idea"  brings out the compass and gives it a check. As he watches the needle spinning he  comments, "Easiest way would get them to reveal them selves in a fight. Though that wouldn't be my first choice."

As Flynt looks at the compass the numbers and needly indeed spin until they land on about 5 ft. The needle points directly towards Yoë.

 "Well, you better get in line then Aurelius." Elyria says with a quick smile, seemingly having similar thoughts.

Flynt eyes go wide when he sees the reading. He fixes Yoë with an incredulous look mixed with surprise and dismay. 

"It's pointing at you. Take off that cloak and place it on the other side of the room. Then walk away. Slowly." His steely blue eyes narrow a bit and his hand creeps towards Betsy. 

"Whoa, whoa, everybody take it easy.  Remember, you gave her the cloak in the first place, Flynt.  I'm sure she's harmless," says the paladin.  "Yoë, just do what he says, it will all be fine. You're not in trouble."

Yoë looks a bit frightened at Flynt's reaction to the compass and her.  His movement towards his hand crossbow causes her to freeze a bit until Aurelius reassures everyone. 

She removes the cloak as she walks to the far side if the room.  Dropping it, she looks a bit relieved to be rid of it.  She then backs away as far as she can,  staying a bit away from Flynt as well.  

Taking another glance at the compass, it seems to stay fixed on the cloak. It had tracked Yoë as she moved with the cloak.  But now as she backs away it does not.
