You begin to travel, making your way to follow the path further north into the mountains. After about half of the day - having made it well beyond the narrow canyon ambush spot - the snow is starting to fall from the sky more heavily. Given the clouds in the sky and what you can see - or rather cannot see - of the peak in the distance, you expect it will only get snowier and colder as you go.
Thus far though you have not encountered much along the way.
Suddenly Flynt stops dead in his tracks. "Something just occurred to me and I can't believe I didn't think of it sooner. With Leilatha here why aren't we rescuing Rakeshi right now? " He begins walking again, talking as they travel.
"With the master gone the castle guard is bound to be relaxed. Yes I understand the customs of ownership but I still don't understand why we are playing by rules created by hags in a system we're actively planning to over throw. Especially if Rakeshi is our primary goal."
"I'm not sure Flynt but I think these are rules that are not possible to break in the Feywild. Rahkeshi know this better than any of us, and I still believe our best course of action is to kill Leilatha." Elyria says to the lawman, still following him.
"Oaths are sacred things. If Rahkeshi made a covenant to serve the hag for a year, I do not believe she would willingly violate that promise if Leilatha were still alive. Wasn't she the one who told us to wait?"
"Yes, and she also told us she thought we could possibly free her by killing Leilatha as the oath would then move on to the one who killed her." Elyria says and nods.
Before Flynt stops you for your conversation, you continue along the path. Over about the next hour you notice it is getting a little bit colder and the snow falls a bit heavier.
As Flynt (and presumably everyone else) walks on he continues the conversation. "I suppose as a lawman I can understand that." He replies to the suggestion of honor being the motivating reason. "Well hopefully this blasted weather will s!ow Leilatha as well. Say you don't suppose this is a ward of some type? Would anyone have a way to detect it?"
"What I'm trying to say is that if Leilathas castle is protected by wards that prevent a person from approaching, then isn't reasonable to think that the tower is protected by some as well. I was hoping that one of you could detect such a magical protection. If neither of you can detect it then do you have a way to remove it?" Flynt explains.
As you proceed, the snow deepens, and it gets much harder to progress. At this rate you will still be well away from the tower before you need to stop for the night. The wind and heavy snow has made it impossible to see the tower for some time now. It is also getting very cold now.
Yoë is wrapping her cloak tightly around herself. "You know, I can't say I've ever heard anyone travel up here. I think I see the reason now."

If everyone is agreeable, after a short rest and some rations Flynt continues to push on.

Elyria agrees to that :-)
"Lead on, good sir."

Aurelius smiles devilishly, "Well then, I must assure I deliver the killing blow."
"I...I think perhaps it would be better if I was the one who did that." Elyria says, seemingly unsure if the paladin is joking or not.

"I'm not sure what you mean exactly Flynt?" Elyria asks, following close behind the Lawman.
"Alas my powers of mystical detection are mostly limited to ferreting out fiends and the undead. I have no ability to detect enchantment."

"Do we know anything about that tower yet? If there are wards I might be able to remove them, we'll see I guess." Elyria says, still following Flynt.
"I'm afraid I will be of no help in dispelling magical wards."

"Yes, this is getting very cold." Elyria agrees, pulling her cloak closer but still moving fairly nimbly over the snow.
