Stormraider Keep (A M.E.T.A.L. Campaign)

Is spite of feeling distraught over not finding Rahkeshi a smile briefly tugs at Elyria's lips at Aurelius comment. Not sure who should be considered friend or foe she says nothing, waiting for the eladrin to leave, wanting to speak to Yoë again, wanting to find Rahkeshi.

As the Eladrin are leaving, Flynt observes a figure step out from the solid stone wall not far from him, but between him and the elves. Dressed in the same colors of Lady Leilatha's people, the figure raises a crooked wooden staff. 

Bringing the staff down to sharply to hit the floor she shouts, "Briar Barrier!" in Druidic.  A wall of tangling brush filled with sharp thorns springs up in a straight line from her, surrounding the three elves.

 A key word got dropped out - elves.  The attack is against Mecena and the 2 others.

Those inside the room cannot see this (only Flynt). To Aurelius and Elyria the spell caster can be heard but it's muffled.

Mecena and the others are all injured from the sharp thorns, the Eladrin with the short sword being knocked unconscious. The other two are still up, though severely hurt.

Elyria rushes out to see who spoke in druidic, could it be...

The elf still in the room is still speaking with Aurelius. "If you are the half-elf mentioned, then you must know of this rendezvous spot! Where did you plan on meeting the half-orc? Show us!" he demands, just as Elyria dashes through the door.

Elyria runs into Flynt, standing near the door. But she can see into the hallway.  The figure that cast the spell has greyish-green skin. Her brown hair is in dreadlocks, which come down to her shoulders and looks a bit unruly.  Many beads are braided into it along with the occasional metal clip.

The half-orc turns back to look. "Elyria?" she says, her voice a mix of surprise, excitement, and suspicion.  The suspicion continues as she shifts her gaze to Flynt. "Who is this?" she demands in Common, but with a heavy Orcish accent.

(Although not everyone is necessarily in combat, I will follow initiative order a bit here now. Mecena and the rapier wielding woman definitely look ready to go after the newcommer. Aurelius may have a chance to throw in something RP-wise, but movement would be on your turn.)

(Flynt is up.)

"He's with us, an agent from M.E.T.A.L" Elyria says quickly, just wanting to throw herself in Rahkeshi's arms.

"Mon ami, I am not telepathic.  How can I know the thoughts of all these silly girls who write poems about me? It is this... how you say?... 'fan fiction'.  They dream of a secret meeting in a garden or a seashore or an old tower under the moon somewhere, you know how it is.  How should I know of what she speaks?"

Aurelius will leave through the door that Elyria took, and assess the situation in the hallway.   Seeing the new arrival, he will pause, then say, "Hello, Madame.... er, we are searching for our friend Rahkeshi the potion-maker, who is also a half-orc, but definitely not you.  Did you see which way she went?"

Deception 12

Stepping (if there is room) between the Eladrin and Rakeahi "Rakeshi I presume? I am Flynt McGraw. Will you please release these Eladrin. They will not harm you." He places a withering glare on the Eladrin as he turns to address them directly.

Intimidation:22

"As I was saying, by what I understand of your customs the half orc you were seeking is now under my charge due to Leilathas demise at my hand. Rakeshi is no longer a concern of yours and I will be taking the matter up with the Lady Sylmare. Who, whether you believe us or not, is a devious Hag and who we suspect is a part of Leilathas coven."

The half-orc, clearly Rahkeshi, gives Aurelius a brief glance. "Wow, so convincing," she says sarcastically.  Her gaze then goes to Flynt. "Interesting theory, Lint was it? You're welcome to talk to the shrubs."  Her focus returns to the Eladrin.  

Mecena, out of sight amongst the thorns, calls back. "How dare you malign Lady Sylmare with such accusations! Give us the half-orc! Now!" She seems unfazed by the intimidation. After a very short rustling, you hear an arcane word uttered and then silence from her, as though she had disappeared. 

(Elyria is now up. Unless Flynt intentionally wants to block the door, I'm ok with assuming he might have moved)   

Elyria comes up next to Rahkeshi, wary of any Eladrin that might attack (dodge action) hesitating briefly before laying a hand on Rahkeshi's arm. "We should leave this place Rahkeshi." She whispers pleadingly to the half-orc.

"Yeah that won't be happening." replies Flynt to the Eladrin request. "I agree, We really should move on." 

Flynt moves to a position where the rest of the Nature Rainments won't interfere and he checks his compass.

Aurelius says, "Oh, there you are.  We are here to rescue you, much to your relief, I am sure!"

He then turns to see how the Eladrin still in the room with them is reacting.

"Thanks?" Rahkeshi says to Aurelius. To Elyria, and everyone else, she says, "We can't just abandon the satyrs."  She shakes her head at the logjam of people in the narrow doorway. "Let's head north to the courtyard. Come with me."  Then, still maintaining the wall of thorns, she weaves her way into her room. It isn't until she is inside that she catches sight of the Eladrin there.  "This must be a trap! I knew it was too good to be true!" She looks a little panicked. 

She calls out "Shillelagh!" in Druidic then strikes at the Eladrin with her staff.

Up to that point, the Eladrin had seemed a little bit confused by the action outside the room.  He heard the calls and taunts, and seemed to be somewhat cowed by Flynt's attempt to intimidation. He was starting to speak after Flynt mentioned taking the matter up with Lady Sylmare, "Well, if you will come with us to see Lady Syl..."  And then Rahkeshi struck him.  

(Aurelius is now up.) 

Rahkeshi's attack misses. 

Aurelius will try to intercede, saying, "'Kehshi, so far we have had an uneasy truce with the Eladrin.  I will fight if you insist, but let's remember they are all pawns in the hags' game, satyrs and elves alike.  I am more worried about Frost the Oni and Sylmare herself than these soliders."

Given the opportunity, the Eladrin draws a strange needle from beneath his cloak, trying to hit Rahkeshi with it. (Attack: 19)

The needle strikes Rahkeshi, going deep into her upper arm.  (5, 8)
