As Rahkeshi's strike hits the troll, several thorny vines rise from the ground and encircle the troll's legs. It is caught up and is now restrained. The troll appears to be heavily battered now, with multiple visible wounds.
(OOC - Not sure what happened with Rahkeshi's post... I see different numbers posted vs. what was rolled. Real numbers were Con Save - 14, Attack: 23, Damage: 8)

Aurelius easily deflects the troll's attacks with his shield.
Round 4
Aurelius continues to taunt the troll, describing in colorful detail its ancestry and love life. He also decides to stop prolonging the battle unnecessarily, and use both his attacks.
Both of Aurelius' strikes land solidly on the troll, opening up large gashes on its side and arms. It continues to thrash about for a moment, still restrained by the vines, but it then comes crashing down to the ground.
There is hardly a moment though before the group hears a slight rustling further back in the brush. There is then a male voice that calls out. "Oh oh! Good show! I'd thought that cruel creature would be the death of me!"
(OOC - Just wanted to add in case it wasn't clear, we are out of combat. At least for the moment!)
Aurelius does not sheath his sword, and prods the fallen creature a few times to ensure it has truly expired, knowing that trolls have a way of coming back to life at the least opportune moment. If there is no sign of life, he retrieves his thrown javelin, extinguishes and sheathes his sword, and calls out to the new arrival, "Come out into the open, stranger, and let us have a look at you."

The wounded Black Bear swiftly reverts to a very suspicious Elyria. "Show yourself!" She commands, but then turns to Rahkeshi. "You are wounded." She says in lowered voice and lays her soft hand on the half-orcs wounded arm making the wound close. (Cure wounds: 7) "I'm so sorry." she whispers to Rahkeshi before returning her attention to the mysterious newcomer. Perception: 20
Rahkeshi seems to shrug off Elyria's concern, "I'm fine." The words are spoken plainly, though it is a little unclear which comment she is responding to. She focuses on the voice they now hear.
From the location of the rustling you see a short young looking man pushing himself to his feet from where he had been prone on the ground. You immediately notice his skin is a pale white, with the faintest hints of swirls of blue. He looks like an elf, except he is only about 3 feet tall. His simple clothing has a few leaves and branches caught up in it and he tries to brush himself off. You can also see a pair of long, translucent looking wings at his back - long, a bit like a wasp. You have a vague recollection of seeing such people during your time in the Summer Courts.
"Yes! Here I am good travelers! Thanks that fortune has smiled upon me and you were here to save me!"
"Well, you seem to be a long way from home,"comments Aurelius. "I am Aurelius Degas, and these are my companions Rahkeshi and Elyria. And who might you be? And how did you come to be on this plane and get mixed up with an invisible troll? This ought to be quite the tale."

Elyria lowers her elven bow, smiles and looks with curiosity on the winged man. She stays quiet, letting the eloquent Sir Degas do the talking, for now. Knowledge to identify creature: 3
Elyria thinks the winged man is probably a Fairy, but does not recall much about them.
The man replies to Aurelius, "Oh yes! Oh yes! So sorry! I should have introduced myself, where ARE my manners? Well, I suppose they went out the window with that invisible troll! Of course, do you ever see an INVISIBLE troll?!? Ha! Of course not, you really can't SEE something that's invisible. But anyhow... he certainly appeared once he attacked me, then dragged me off. But where was I... Ah yes, I am Frost Greysky! I suppose I am far from my home in the Feywild. Although it is also not all that very far really in some ways."
"Ravi de vous rencontrer, Monsieur Greysky. A pleasure to meet you. " Aurelius half-bows. "If I may, did the troll 'drag you off' in the Fey realm, or on this plane? Were you in trouble or being hunted for some reason? We have been dealing with hostile giants and dragons in this region, but this is the first troll we've encountered. Also... forgive me... you don't appear very... formidable. How did you manage to escape death at the beast's hands?"
"Well, I came to this realm myself. I was on a mission, but that beast attacked me after I crossed from the Feywild. Boom! Knocked me out before I hardly knew it. I... hmm... I don't know why he dragged me with him. Strange..." He muses over the point for a moment and then bends down to grab a glaive, appropriately scaled to his smaller size. "I am normally quite capable. And stealthy for that matter. But that troll was invisible!" He composes himself, stand a bit straighter as he holds the glaive upright. "In any case, I am on a mission from the Queen. I was told perhaps I could find a few folks that would be able to help out here in this forest."
Rahkeshi comes up beside Elyria as she listens to the conversation. She whispers quietly to the elf. "Why does everyone keep talking about an invisible troll? The troll was plain as day!"
Elyria listens attentively to the tale of Frost Greysky but as Rahkeshi comes up beside her and whispers Elyria leans closer to the half-orc and whispers back. "I don't really know, but I too couldn't see it at first, it seemed as only you could Rahkeshi, perhaps a gift granted you by that thorny bracelet." She answers and takes Rahkesis hand, as if showing her the bracelet.
Rahkeshi whispers back to Elyria, "The bracelet only allows the casting of spells, like those thorny vines I created. I studied it before... umm, before last night." She then focuses back on Frost and what he and Aurelius are saying.
Aurelius immediately takes a knee, putting himself about eye-level with Frost. "If you serve the Bright Lady, then I pledge myself to further your mission as far as I am able. If the mission is on this plane, however, there is the small matter of some giants about to destroy a town that ought to be resolved... soon-ish. I assume my companions, being similarly oathbound to the Fair One, would agree."
"Yes, we will help you Frost, it's just that we already have a mission. I hope we can help you without abandoning our current assignment." Elyria says, looking to Rahkeshi for her opinion. When Elyria hears Frost mention the Feywild her thoughts drift away to her recent visit there and she realizes she wants to go back now, so much.
"Oh! Well, I need help HERE to find a specific group. There should be five or six travelers. 'MEDAL' agents I think... Magical, Entertaining, Dangerous, umm..." Frost grimaces. "That isn't quite right. I was told there was a rabbit-folk, half-orc, humans, a walking automaton, elf, and someone in heavy shining armor."
The Fairy stops, looking at the person kneeling in front of him. "Wait... are you MEDAL agents?"
Frost smiles. "What luck! Splendid! It is an honor to meet you all." He gives a little bow to Aurelius, glancing over to the others. "Your presence is needed in the Feywild, something is afoot there. And worry not about your mission. Time is a strange thing between here and there, so I am sure your Bright Lady can assure mere moments will pass here for the time there."
As Rahkeshi's strike hits the troll, several thorny vines rise from the ground and encircle the troll's legs. It is caught up and is now restrained. The troll appears to be heavily battered now, with multiple visible wounds.
