The 3 blink dogs seem to have focused in on one tree, circling it as they look up. Aurelius catches sight of what seems to be an elf, perched on a branch, watching. Dressed in green, he is well camouflaged. You see he carries a longbow, though it is still stored at his back.
Aurelius, carefully keeping his hands in full view and away from his weapons, calls out to the watcher in Elvish, "Friend, we greet you in the name of the Lady of the Summer Court. A dear friend of ours was kidnapped by a dark fairy, Frost Greysky, and we are attempting to follow their trail. Have you seen or heard anything that might assist our search?"
As he clearly has been noticed, he lowers himself from where he was perched and drops to the ground. The blink dogs back away, remaining wary as they stand between the party and the elf.
A second elf, dressed much like the first steps out from amongst the trees, about 10 ft. from the first elf. She speaks to the party in Elvish. "Greetings travelers. And who might you all be, so far from the Courts?"
Assuming Elyria now notices the elf in the tree, she silently curses herself for not noticing earlier. She looks up at the elf with a warm disarming smile while lowering her own elven longbow.
Help action given to any persuasion attempts made by Aurelius.
Not one to normally speak for the team Elyria feels an urgence to find Rahkeshi and addresses the elves. "We are not from your realm but we have come here in search of a...teammate who was lured into these woods. We are following their tracks. Will you help us in this endeavour."
(OOC: Aurelius will roll any necessary rolls I hope ;-)
The woman elf looks first at Aurelius, then Elyria. She seems to become a bit more wary and alert at the mention of 'Lady of the Summer Court'. "You claim both to not be of this realm and to be agents of the Summer Court? Know that we are servants of the Lady Sylmare of the Winter Court. I fear for your friend if he is lost alone in the Wild."
She gives a glance to her companion, who has remained silent, then continues. "What tracks do you follow? Some of us are fair trackers. As for Frost Greysky, I know nothing of the name, but others might."
"We would deeply appreciate your help as trackers." Elyria responds, kneeling down showing the tracks she has been following.
(OOC: Does Elyria remember anything about the relationships between different courts from hre last visit in the Feywild. I readily admit I haven't the faintest about anything about the Feywild, yet.)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Switching to Common out of courtesy for his new companions, Aurelius bows with a flourish, "I am Aurelius Degas, at your service. I along with these others do not properly belong to your world, but Elyria and I have traveled here before, and stayed with the Bright Lady for a time, and earned her favor. We are oathbound to her now. Our companion, another follower of the Queen, was as I mentioned, charmed and kidnapped. So, while not alone, she is certainly in danger."
He then describes Frost and the darklings and sprites who accompanied him, mentioning also an invisible troll that was likely involved.
"We would be greatly indebted to you for any aid you might render." He flashes his most dazzling smile at the elf-maid.
(Just to clarify - the elf woman has been speaking all in Elvish. So those that don't speak it will have to hope for compatriots to explain.)
As Elyria indicates the tracks, the woman indicates for the other to help. She then looks back at Aurelius blankly. Again in Elvish she apologizes. I'm afraid I don't understand your tongue. I do apologize." She switches to Sylvan, "Would this be better?"
The other elf comes over to Elyria and studies the tracks. (14)
He seems a little nervous as he speaks to Elyria in Elvish. "I can just make them out. There are two sets? Umm... probably other elves, you think?"
(Elyria can make Survival check with advantage if she wants to try to learn more specific about the tracks.)
"No, one set is that of our half-orc friend and the other would be from the faery that charmed her away"Elyria explains to the elf assisting her and goes on to describe Frost Greysky in no flattering terms.
Flynt watches the exchange in silence. Not understanding the the words being spoken but seeing that the exchange seems amicable he decides against casting comprehend languages. Instead he focuses on the body movements and subtle tells of the two new comers.
Remembering Flynt and Amrey, Elyria turns to them and switches to the common tongue. "I believe we might be getting some help." She says with a smile. "I don't think they speak common, which might be a recurring problem in the Feywild."She adds a bit apologetically to the two men. "I will try to find the time to teach you some basic elven." She says before returning her attention to the tracks.
As Aurelius repeats his words in Elvish, the elf listens intently. Her eyes widen a bit as you refer to 'Bright Lady' and 'Queen'. "I would love to help you, Aurelius..."
For a brief moment she returns a smile, but it quickly disappears. She resumes what seems a bit cold if not professional demeanor. "But such request for aid surely must be decided by my Lady Sylmare."
Elyria examines the tracks more closely, speaking with the elf. You conclude the two tracks are too large to be a fairy. They also do not seem to match the hide-covered boots of a half-orc. But there seems to be indications of a third set. That is more obscured and hard to pick out amidst the others. "I am almost certain this was just another of our brethren, passing through this area. It's but a day's travel to our village."
(Aurelius make an Insight check. Flynt Insight and Perception check. Both of Flynt's at advantage.)
Elyria has a heart sinking feeling realizing she has not been following the tracks of Rahkeshi and Frost. She silently curses herself, tears welling in her eyes before regaining her composure, turning to the elf beside her. "Yes you maybe right, but what about this third set of tracks?"She asks, showing the more obscured set of tracks.
