The grey fox gives Elyria a quick yip in response to her greeting. And as the red fox heads off, she follows, running quickly after her. She doesn't stop at the edge of the glen even, continuing a brisk pace off into the distance. Eventually, she comes to a very small creek, and pauses a moment to lap at the water before turning to watch her red fox companion.
The red fox stops for a moment, looking the silver fox again in the eyes a while, as it is standing by the small creek, the silver fur glistening, illuminated by a pale moonlight, and then she moves up close by the silver fox, playfully nibbling one of her silver furred ears.
The grey fox lets out a happy yip as the other nibbles at an ear. She spins quickly and bares her teeth at the other with a playful growl. Tensing for a moment she then pounces at the other, trying to bowl it over. Both foxes roll to the ground a bit before the grey one breaks free, making a run alongside the flowing water.
The water reflects off the small bit of water, similar to the silvery fox coat. She slows as she prances into the water. But only long enough to ensure the other catches up. She again spins, splashing water at the other then breaks into a sprint away from the stream and back through the lush forest. She runs for a long while, until she starts to tire a little from the exertion.
The two foxes loses all sense of time as they chase each other back and forth in the pale moonlight through the lush forest. As they both tire they find a grove where they lay down to rest in the moist grass, close together, still playfully nipping at each other, but less and less frequently. After a while the red fox resumes the shape of an elven maid that still cuddles up with the silver fox. Just a little while longer before the real world of pain and agony inexorably draws them back in.
Rahkeshi remains lying on her back, breathing deeply as she returns to her half-orc form. For some time she stays still and quiet with the blonde elf beside her. She finally, suddenly, rolls her her side, propping herself up with her arm. Her face hovers just above Elyria's. "You bit me!" she says with a big laugh.
"And I'm hungry! You distracted me!" she says with a big grin. She looks at her friend a moment then leans in a bit closer. She speaks with the very faintest of whispers, directly at her ear. "Did you enjoy running wild with me?" She then pulls back just a little, her brown eyes intently studying Elyria's face.
"Oh yes, I loved it Rahkeshi, I felt...elated, like the troubles of the world could not reach me, running beside you. I've never felt like this before Rahkeshi." She pauses briefly, looking the half-orc in the eyes. "I wan't to be with you, but I've never been...close to anyone." She pauses again lying on her back in the moist grass, her blonde hair spread out, her green dreamy eyes still looking up at the fiercely beautiful half-orc, briefly biting her own lip in hesitation. "Still hungry?...You can have me."
Rahkeshi's eyes grow a bit wider at the elf's response and she hangs there motionless, not breathing for several long moments. She nervously wets her lips as she stares into those emerald-colored eyes. Finally, ever so slowly, she leans in her head towards Elyria until their lips meet and she kisses the elf.
Then, moving just as slowly, their lips part. Rahkeshi breathlessly watches the beautiful face that is so close to her for a reaction.
Elyria gives off a silent moan as Rahkeshi kisses her. She lies there, eyes welling with tears of joy, still looking up into the brown eyes of the savagely gorgeous half-orc, breathing more heavily, placing a hand in the half-orcs brown unruly dreadlocks, caressing her gently, before whispering "more".
The next morning Elyria wakes the others up at the camp. "Rise and shine boys." She says to Aurelius and Bryant. "It's a lovely new day in the service of M.E.T.A.L " She says, smiling widely, glancing over at Rahkeshi who also is awake. Elyria seems very chirpy this morning, even humming a bit as she packs up her things and readies herself for the last leg towards Neadles Peake.
When everyone seems ready she lets Aelric scout ahead. Perception:16 Elyria walks with the others, staying mostly quiet, smiling, thinking about something, not really having the attention to her surroundings. Perception with disadvantage: 13
Rahkeshi is awake and seems to be hurriedly eating some of her dried rations. She appears very hungry as she eats and gathers up her equipment. She is continually giving Elyria quick glances, a smiling grin constantly on her face. It takes little time for her to gather her gear, which seems to have not been disturbed since she dropped it there.
Standing to one side of the clearing, she picks up a small bit of dirt, tossing it in the air, and whispers in Druidic, "Spirits, give me a sign of the weather." Using Druidcraft, the dust seems to swirl strangely for a moment before seeming to disperse with the wind. Although there really isn't any wind.
After a moment, Rahkeshi's face reddens and she asks quietly, continuing in Druidic, "What?"
After a pause, "Um, thanks?"
And another pause, "Ok. Is it... Well, thank you."
Rahkeshi waves as she looks up into the air. Then she turns back to the others, now speaking Common. "It seems we can expect sunny skies and unseasonably cold weather today."
Elyria can't help but giggle a bit at Aurelius' comment but then she retorts by stage-whispering to Rahkeshi. "I think our friend over there is self diagnosing. We'll have to look out for him having senior moments and getting lost trying to find his slippers."
Rahkeshi looks at Aurelius after his remark. The happy grin on her face doesn't change as she starts walking over towards him. Once close, she says, "I really must thank you for your inspiration yesterday." She actually sounds somewhat serious.
Laughing a bit, Rahkeshi says in a sing-song voice, "K-I-S-S-I-N-G!" You see her give Elyria a quick glance after she says it and her silly grin gets even bigger. "Best song I've heard in a while. Wasn't in a tree, but..." She gives a bit of a shrug and turns back to gathering her things.
When done she gives a check on Bryant, "Hey are you awake? It's about time we get moving!"
Aurelius bows with a flourish (as best he can in full plate armor). "Happy to be of service. Although I'll miss all the puppy-dog eyes and wistful sighs of longing... or not."
Although his words seem teasing, as he mounts his horse, he snaps his fingers (minor illusion) and a jaunty tropical-island-sounding tune begins to play.
He sings while smiling,
"There you see her
Sitting there across the way
She don't got a lot to say
But there's something about her
And you don't know why
But you're dying to try
You wanna kiss the girl
Yes, you want her
Look at her, you know you do
Possible she wants you too
There is one way to ask her
It don't take a word
Not a single word
Go on and kiss the girl..."
Rahkeshi smiles at the song, stealing many glances over at Elyria until she finally comes over and gives her a very quick kiss on the cheek. "I dare say Aurelius almost seems to be a decent person today." She shrugs, "He's just jealous he can't see the spirits when they come to chat." She then lowers her voice, speaking directly to Elyria. "Did you hear what that first one was saying?"
Elyria listens to the banter, but seems not quite as comfortable as Rahkeshi with the kiss in front of the others in the team. "Yes, what about it?" She asks the half-orc, her mind seemingly on other thoughts, while glancing over at the reactions of Aurelius and Bryant.
Rahkeshi looks a bit surprised at Elyria's response, not quite picking up on her distraction. "What about it? The spirits in the forest are all talking about us?" She smiles, "I thought you'd be more concerned. I'm glad it doesn't bother you. Though... the air spirits said something seemed off as they left. Didn't really explain though."
