Not even really aware of the poltergeist being angered but aware that it should be in the master bedroom somewhere Aubrey moves back through the corridor and into the room he came from, waiting for a chance to do something helpful and preferring not to be flung about again if he can avoid it. (Dodge action)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
A ghostly wail fills the master bedoom, coming from somewhere near the four post bed. A sheet lifts off the bed, wads into a tight ball, and launches itself at Grugga. Attack: 5 Damage: 4

Grugga watches the blanket unroll at his feet - while the adrenaline is pumping, he doesn't realize quite how comical it is. He looks back to the doorway with his friends gathered round. "I don't know where it is! What's the plan? Go after the lady?" He keeps his head on a swivel, looking for more incoming blankets. ((dodge action))
As the party attempts a withdrawal, the poltergeist does not follow from master bedroom.
Assembled together on the ground floor, the home is quiet but for the occasional bump from upstairs as the poltergeist remains agitated.

"Well, I'm not saying this was expected to be simple to begin with, chasing ghosts in a haunted house, but it certainly turned into something far worse." Aubrey says, calming down with the others downstairs. "Perhaps we should just investigate for now, and even withdraw to do some actual research on this place. Maybe we can come up with a clue to who this Ms. Umn really is and what this being below us is. Maybe we will even find a clue to some weakness of theirs. Going down to hunt the both of them unprepared...well it seems very risky to me." He finishes, looking to the rest of the team.
"If I may suggest, we could inquire with the Schmidts. I believe our employer mentioned that they and the Umns were rivals once. Aubrey, do you believe that we could pull some strings in order to have an audience with the family? Is this something we could potentially do?"
[You have been invited to dine with Duke Schmidt a few nights from now.]

"Well, we are already invited to dine with the Duke, we could perhaps bring the matter up there and get some help from their scholars. I'm not sure we will be able to see him before that though, the Duke is a very busy man. This place have likely been like this for a long long time though so I find it hard to believe that we are in a hurry." Aubrey answers
Grugga rubs his chin. "There's certainly more going on here than what we were told - not that I think that our employer was deceiving us. It would be good to find out what's really happening, or else it feels like we're walking into a trap. I think we should tell our employer what we learned and that we need more time. I volunteer to do some research at the library about the house and the family. Leelan... do you have any idea what Ms. Umn was? She wasn't a ghost..."
Rohuzar is thoughtful, but shakes his head. "I think those plans are good if ve run out of options. But I need to look downstairs. I have to see more before ve leave."
Aubrey nods. "As long as we are prepared to fall back when we run into hard opposition finding some more clues to what we're dealing with would likely be very helpful." He says, ready to follow Rohuzar.
Looking around, you find that there doesn't appear to be a basement. At least, there are no stairs down to any lower levels.

Guilim will ready himself to fight but will hold steady at wait for something to appear before he attacks.
Hold action to attack when something comes into view.
Leelan nods at Grugga’s suggestion.
"Agreed. We should focus our efforts on finding this imposter lady."
With that he will take the dodge action and begin moving towards the stairs.
Rohuzar holds up a hand. "This is... I think ve are missing something. Retreat. Downstairs."
Rohuzar will head for the top of the steps to play rearguard once everyone can get past

Hearing the retreat Aubrey quickly follows the others downstairs, Furvus following him closely for now.

Rohuzar leans on his axe.
"Something is missing from puzzle. Creature vants us in there. There must be vay to turn this to our advantage. Ideas?"

"There's perhaps a concealed way down somewhere." Aubrey suggests, glancing around for some apparent place to take a closer look.
