Guilim keeps his halberd at the ready, moving to step closer to the dead hydra. His eyes move towards where Shaemus is but after hearing that the human is alive he is less worried about that. As the three depart he keeps locked on them. "Those three are going to be trouble in the future."
You've never heard of the Blue Crowns. If they are an adventuring company, they can't be very large or well known. It might just be the three of them.
Looking over the hydra corpse, most of their work was focused on cutting loose the hide which they apparently had plans for. Other than the wounds you inflicted, the body hasn't been too molested. There is some blood on the sand where the Blue Crowns were working but it doesn't look like they wasted any great volume.
After approximately one hour, Grugga arrives with his new contraption and the crate of flasks.. Around that same time, Shaemus wakes up from his nap. Pleased that you have returned for your kill, and his guard work is complete, he excuses himself and wanders back toward the stairs and the Land Shark.
For the blood harvest, I need the following:
Grugga: D20 + tinker tool proficiency to determine how well your machine works.
Grugga and Leelan: Describe for me how you plan to do this.
Whomever will be operating the pump, make a survival check with advantage.
Whomever will be filling the flasks off of the pump (cannot be same PC who is operating the pump) give me a DEX save.

"Well, you've made some progress!" Grugga exclaims and he arrives, blood pump in hand. He drops his heavier gear into the sand and explains to his companions how it works, "Whoever is going to collect the blood, I expect it'll come out fast and I couldn't make a perfect fit for the flasks because the flask necks are slightly different sizes, so you'll need to hold the flask neck steady against the opening to pressurize it properly. Whoever will be pumping, try to keep the flow consistent. When you're pumping out, push this toggle in and pull it out to depressurize the tube."
Grugga looks like he'll be trying to keep the contraption from falling apart. "Leelan, can you tell us where we should be working? I have no idea how hydra anatomy works - at least not really."
Tinker's roll, I'd like to use inspiration if needed: 13 (this is just proficiency bonus, if I can add int to it, that'd be another +3)
Leelan steps over to the hydra’s remain. He looks over Grugga’s contraption and thinks of what could be the best way to draw some blood from the beast. He begins explaining his plan while walking in circles, not looking at anyone in particular. It’s almost as if he’s thinking out loud.
"Alright, here is what I propose: if the beasts anatomy is similar to most creature’s, the blood should be pumped by the heart, meaning that at some point, the blood should go inside the heart and out at some point. Now, our subject is dead and therefore the heart pumps no blood. But!", he raises a finger, then readjusts his glasses. "Grugga’s invention could work as a substitute. If we can carve a path to the heart an plug the tubes directly in the aorta, I theorize that it should give us an optimized yield."
He then turns around and finally acknowledges the presence of the party. "Does this sound plausible to you?"
(Essentially I’m thinking like a dyalisis machine if it were plug to the heart and wasn’t returning the blood)

(On my Gnome's sheet (different campaign) DNDB uses DEX as the applicable ability for Tinkers Tools, not INT. So you can apply another plus 2. That would give you 12. You can certainly burn your inspiration for a reroll if you choose.)

While Rohuzar and Grugga look on and hold their breath, Leelan carefully guides the tubing into the chest cavity of the hydra. Once it is positioned where he believes it can create the most suction inside the heart, he gives the signal to Guilim.
Guilim holds the contraption steady against his chest and arm while working the bellows with his hands. It is quite difficult for someone of his stature, but his incredible strength - and his will to collect that gold - powers his through. After pumping for what seems like ages, a clot of thick, dark blood is spat out into one of the flasks. With the next pump of the bellows, however, liquid blood rockets out of the tubing into the first flask.
It is all Aubrey can do to hold tight while the blood fills the first vial. Using careful timing, he switches flasks in between Guilim's pumping of the bellows, minimizing the amount of spill.
It is not long before the spray of blood slows to a trickle, and then stops entirely. Once finished, you hold 4 stoppered .5L flasks of hydra blood, for a total of 2 Liters. Based on the posted award, this should be worth 200gp. There is also the matter of the rest of the hydra, which you were asked to remove from the beach by nightfall.

The Blue Crowns at least thought the heads/necks and the hide has some value. You've heard of the hides and scales of magical creatures like dragons being turned into armor, but you don't recall ever hearing the same said about hydras. The hide and scales do have an attractive blue hue... And you've seen trinkets and necklaces for sale made from the teeth and claws of monsters... Maybe ask around the market? Or maybe the person looking to buy the blood has an idea?

(To keep the further harvesting and disposal of the hydra from becoming a time consuming chore, I will move us along.)
It takes about an hour to separate the rest of the hide and then quarter off the rest of the carcass into manageable chunks. In the end, you are left with eight head/necks (one of which is missing all of its teeth), 30 square feet of hide, and 200 lbs of quartered meat and bone. Hauling this up and making a quick lap of the wharfs and markets, you receive the following offers:
Meat/Carcass: Hydra is not on the menu at any of the nicer taverns in town. Some of the eateries in the slums and wharfs are less scrutinizing, and others are interested in rendering it into animal feed. You are able to get an offer of 134cp for the meat and bones.
Hide: A tall, elderly human woman named Maerwynn Darkdraft with a leatherworker stall in the market district [her shop is outside town to the northwest, across the main branch of the Breitvasser] claims she can make you something with the unique blue hide of this creature. She indicates she can make either a set of blue leather armor, or a distinctive pair of blue leather boots with matching gloves. Her price is 25gp and it will take her two weeks to cure the hide and prepare the items. These will be mundane items but will have a very distinctive and unique look to them [think something like blue alligator leather]. Alternatively, she offers to buy the hide from you for 11gp, 6sp.
Heads: A very excited Orc approaches you in the markets. His name is Sadeeq and he is a taxidermist by trade. He has a client that would be in the market for a mount of the hydra heads. After some haggling, he offers 24gp and swears that is the absolute most he can pay.
(Consider these offers and advise what the group will accept, if any.)

Aubrey asks Sadeeq if he could sweeten the deal by returning one of the hydra heads mounted when he is finished with his work. Persuasion: 20 rolled with advantage if help is given, otherwise go with first roll. Aubrey is otherwise in favor of selling to offered prices. When this business is finished Aubrey suggests that they take the hydra blood to the buyer at the Universitas Vitae.
It is getting into the late afternoon when your crew approaches the sprawling complex of buildings known as the Praetorum Magesterium, wherein is housed the Universitas Vitae. While this institution of learning shares the name of the college that once sat in Amnifortis, it is considered only a pale shadow of that place. Over the last century, professors, students and researchers have done their best to recreate the knowledge that was lost in the Breach but that process is far from complete.
Asking around, you are directed to a two story brick building near the edge of the campus. The skeletal branches of vines cover the exterior, a clue that the building will soon be covered in green ivy once we get a bit deeper into Spring. Knocking on the heavy wooden door, you are greeted by a spectacled young human woman. Upon hearing you have brought hydra blood in response to the doctor's job posting, she shuts the door without further word. Waiting for a few moments... and then knocking again... results in no response. It is a full five minutes before the door opens again.
"Yes. I am Doctor Della Rosa. Let me see the product." Standing before you is one of the oldest humans you have ever seen. White hair sits flat and uncombed on his head and similiar white whiskers cover his cheeks, chin and nose. The skin on his forehead and arms looks paper thin and stretched near to the breaking point. But his blue eyes are sharp and urgent. When shown a flask he will uncork it, dip in a long, yellow fingernail and then raise it to his lips... tasting it. His brow furrows. "Peculiar, but pure. Bring in all what you have." He turns and retreats inside... with the obvious expectation you will follow.
History: DC 16
It occurs to you that the Universitas Vitae has not resumed issuing doctoral degrees. As a symbolic gesture indicating they have not yet restored themselves to their pre-Breach status as an institution, they withhold that honor from even their greatest scholars. The only doctors are those who were bestowed that title before the Breach. While it isn't terribly unusual to find an elf or dwarf doctor still ticking, for a human to hold status as a doctor, he must be well over 100 years old.
The entryway and main hall of the building is bedecked in wood panelled walls and red and black checkerboard carpet. The air is musty with the scent of dust, old tobacco smoke and dry parchment. Rooms to either side are either closed and locked, or open to reveal large wooden desks, shelves of books and in some cases, jarred displays of strange creatures or... body parts. At the end of the hall near a large set of double doors stands the young woman who had sort of greeted you at the front door. "It is a legitimate delivery. Label and catalog it, pay these traders, and then send for Drummond." With that, the old man takes a left turn and continues down another hallway, while the young woman opens the double doors and leads you into a laboratory.
There are no windows, the light provided instead by glowing cylinders of glass hanging from the ceiling. Six long tables hold immeasureable beakers, tubes, burners, vials, flasks and stacks of notes. The far wall has a numbered shelving system full of jars. There are minerals, reagents, and all manner of spell components. She guides you to a large desk nearest the back wall. "Greetings. I hope your day is going well." She speaks this words with almost no inflection, like they are memorized rather than meant with any feeling. "My name is Audrey Ashglade, and I assist the doctor." If there is more to her story, she doesn't offer it. She takes the 4 flasks from Grugga, drawing a few drops from each and separating them into smaller glass tubes, applying labels to all of them. "So that is two liters... equitable exchange value is 200 gold pieces." She unlocks a drawer in the desk and grabs eight pouches of coins, each with 25gp inside. "Doctor Della Rosa has a special research exemption so the taxes are already taken care of..." she says as she waives toward an old and frayed parchment tacked to the wall.
Perception: DC 14 (Requires Old Imperial Language)
It is a bit hard to read in the dim light of the lab. But the paper reads 'Official Declaration of Rights and Privileges; Unnatural Substances and Materials; License #0001' It goes on to indicate the holder of this license (Doctor Ignatius Florro Della Rosa) is 'exempt from all taxes and regulation by special permit from Emperor Vigor Mastieri I, as relates to research, use, storage, procurement, sale, transfer, or any transaction whatsoever of parts, components, tissues, organs, blood, or any material whatsoever of the hydra polydeinorus in any of its varied and various forms.' The permit is initially stamped 'One March Two Thousand Sixty and Eight' and shows dozens of additional stamps, most recently in March of this year.
She hands you the pouches and then politely steers you all back toward the exit.
