"So while it is not our main job if we come across an ogre it may not be a bad idea to deal with it if things come to a fight." Guilim muses to himself as he listens to the old man with a raised brow before shrugging and nodding at what was suggested by Rohuzar. "Can't be to hard to find something."
Grugga looks at his group with concern, then turns to the old man, "Hello Gord, Phlox sent us. She said she misses her card games with you, and that you might be able to help us. How... how did you know we're headed to the forest." the Orc gulps, not sure if he wants to know the answer. "And where did you learn these 'rule of threes?"
"...Phlox? Yes. We play rummy. She's a card shark, that one." He laughs but then turns serious at your other questions. "The forest? You should stay out of there." He shudders. "Years ago... years ago my kid brother went in there to hunt a monster. We never found him... and others were lost in the search." He looks at you, seemingly confused. "Three? Three...".
His eyes turn back north toward the trees. "You should stay out of there. My little brother is lost out there somewhere...".

Aubrey smiles politely and nods at the old man. '"We could go back to that bakery we just passed to get some treats."Aubrey suggests to the others in a lowered voice.
Turning back toward the bakery you passed, the old man gives a friendly wave as you wake away. You think you hear a voice calling, "Dad? Dad, where did you go?" from inside the home but then you are out of earshot.
The bakery is a hub of activity. Two dwarves are up on the roof, grumbling as they patch up the northwest corner which seems to have frayed during the storm. Inside several men and women are busy mopping and clearing debris from the kitchens and two other men are trying to get the oven cleaned out and a fire going. A couple of the cleaning women look at your group warily as you enter, but otherwise everyone is so busy they don't pay you any notice.

"Good afternoon, I'm sorry to intrude on you while you're busy making repairs, but do you have anything for sale from the bakery?" Aubrey asks aloud, hoping the right person would answer him.
"A long ways off yet," shouts one of the men working on the ovens, without looking up. "We took a walloping from this storm and need to get this place cleared out before we can even think about getting back to baking. Check back tomorrow and we should have some breads for sale."

Grugga pauses, weighing his discomfort in the rain versus the need for speed, before stepping forward and inquiring, "is there anywhere else in town to get treats for Maggie?"
If the answer is no, Grugga will step forward and use mending to start fixing any larger breaks in the roof or wall. ((Does anyone have a good way to get the fire going?))
A couple of the folk cleaning up chuckle when Gruggaasks for treats for Maggie, though at least one of the women crosses herself with the sign of St. Christopher. The man at the oven shakes his head. "I'm not sure what treats ye be seeking, lad. In any case I am not going to get this thing up and cleaned up enough to bake for a few more hours yet and I've got neighbors who need bread. That comes before any tomfoolery such as what you're asking after."
However, once Grugga has mended some of the leaking sections of the roof, the man cleans his hands and comes out front to speak with you. He appreciates the assistance from strangers. He doesn't have any baked goods, but he offers you something from his storeroom of ingredients... a pouch of candied pecans, a pouch of raisins, and a corked jar of honey.

Rohuzar puts a hand on Aubrey’s and Grugga’s shoulders before gathering everyone with his eyes.
“Ve must be patient, and smart. No going in there without this, and this vill take time. Let us spend a day looking for an ogre instead, if that’s really ogre. Ve can check if those others vant a hand. Split reward, reduce risk of injury prior to going in the Voods. Sound okay?”
Grugga looks to the rainclouds over the woods, "Sounds good to me." he says. "I like that other group. And I'm interested in what has the ogres so riled up. I bet Leelan could do some excellent research on that."
"Sure, I don't see why not. Honestly, Zip's optics are better than my own eyes, but I don't really know how to track, so I couldn't program it how to track... Still, it could find footprints or fly ahead and look for ogres or scabs."
"If we are hunting ogres then we should find somewhere that we can use to our advantage. Maybe set up traps or at least things to slow it down." Guilim suggests as they walk, looking around their surroundings slowly.
(For DM clarity: are we going straight out to hunt for ogres? Which way do you want to go?)

You march back to the Crowfoot Inn. The old Orc woman, Phlox, is busy salt-scrubbing the iron pots from lunch.
Cliff is strapping his boots back on and Kurt the halfling is doing some stretches under the table. Kiteborne is adjusting his pack and trying to get his harp hanging off the back in a way that is isn't contantly rattling against the rest of his gear, and having a rough time of it. They look like they are on their way out.
The rest of the place remains empty.

“Hello. Ve are finding ourselves in need to delay moving on for one day. Are you liking help for ogre hunt? And can it be managed in one day?” Rohuzar is straight and to the point
Leelan chimes in. "Surely the three of you and the five of us can cover more grounds and stand a better chance at survival against a "smart" ogre. I’m sure we could provide some insights on them."

He stares at the old man. Worrying.
