Tradrek had stayed where he was, watching the others. When the man with the pocket watch walks through the wall, Tradrek stares in slight confusion for a moment. After everyone else walks through, the kobold shakes his head. "Weirdos," he mutters to himself in Draconic, walking up to the wall. Then again, he'd seen a few weird things before.
After a little hesitation, Tradrek walks through the wall, shivering a little at the sensation. Upon seeing the table and chairs, he makes a beeline for the nearest unoccupied chair, jumping up to stand in the seat.
Stick selects the chair closest to the left side of the room (from the door.) he start absently tapping a slow marching beat onto his left drum with his hand. As if to calm himself.
"Nice." Sparks says as she looks around the room, then nods and moves to a chair. Taking one at random she sits down and looks to their host. "So, how about you tell us what is going on then..."
As you each sit down you realize your chairs have adjusting seats and you each have what appears to be a control panel in front of you. The leather seats are quite comfortable and the room is pleasantly warm, like a spring day with a cool breeze.
The man scowls at Sparks, and says;
"I'm getting there,"
He then takes a small black disk engraved with a small rune and inserts it into a small slit in the table. There is a small humming noise before the sand ripples clockwise, starting and ending with where the man stands. The sand shapes into other patterns, rippling, twisting, and contouring, before finally settling and taking on the form of a small village. He snaps his fingers and the flames from the torches turns to a flickering blue, revealing that the table itself is glowing.
"I have been assigned as your supervisor as a part of the Shadow Initiative. You are team S-V 1, or, as Tetch so lovingly dubbed it, the Shadow Vipers. As far as anyone else is concerned, you don't exist, this room doesn't exist, and you most certainly do not refer to me by name. If you have to refer to me outside this room, call me Invalid. Any questions?"
Sparks smiles as the sand undjulates and resolves into the village. She raises an eyebrow at their host and shrugs. "Not sure we have enough data to have questions as of yet, or, I should say, we have too many questions still, and not enough information to make those questions useful." She swivels from side to side in the chair, enjoying the feel of the comfortable seat as she glances to the others around the chamber. Turning back to their host she waits for him to go on.
Invalid sighs deeply, knowing Sparks is going to be the biggest pain in the-
"This," He says, sweeping his hand toward the table and beginning to walk around the table, behind you all, "is Closed. I have no idea who named it but they did a better job than Tetch does, wonder if we can hire them. Anyway, we have intel that suggests there is an object of interest to M.E.T.A.L. somewhere underneath the village,"
Your supervisor then presses a button on Stick's controls and the sand raises, revealing a second, more complex layer of catacombs with entrances in various houses and shops all over the town.
"We dug these blueprints out of a dusty old library, but that doesn't mean we know what's in here. Anything could have changed in the fifty years since it's been built. Your job is to go in there, figure out what the object is, grab it, and get out. My job is to keep you guys from dying, so, don't die. Good luck,"
And with a wave of his hand he walks out, leaving you all sitting there around the ShapeSifter.
(OOC: Does Nemo know how to get to Closed? Knowledge check adviced by Tenebricus if needed: 11 )
(Had a very strange moment there, thought this was the other campaign, no, you wouldn't know innately, there are however a couple of handheld ShapeSifters available as maps. Not as detailed, but they do the trick.)
"Ok, well that doesn't really give us as much detail as I would like to have." Sparks says once the host of the little meeting had just walked out. She sighs and looks to the others. "Anyone even know where this place is?" She nods to the shape sifter on the table. "Kind of hard to get to somewhere if we don't know where that place is after all..." she frowns as she moves around the table, checking out the tunnel system under the village for a bit. "I can't say I have much detail on maps, and where this might be, so I hope someone else has information on where we need to go to find this place." She says as she studies the tunnels.
After studying the catacombs for a while Nemo grabs one of the handheld ShapeSifters and brings up a map on the shortest route to Closed. "This should show us how to get to Closed. I´m Mr Nemo by the way." He says to the others while studying the map on the ShapeSifter.
"And if that doesn't work we can always ask someone," suggests Emra. She then begins to make a map of the catacombs and towns on paper to take with her.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Sticks follows suit with what Mr. Nemo does: grabbing the hand-held ShapeSifter. Can I do a Investigation check to see any other functions/tools (like a zoom feature:) 13

Emra has made a map of the village and catacombs. Storing this in her pouch she asks whether everyone has the stuff they need to go adventuring or whether they need to pick it up before they leave.
With a clunk, a tall firbolg man with very short hair shoves open the door, completely out of breath. He is wearing brass-plated armor, and bears the image of a steel gauntlet on his shield. He is also wearing a set of gauntlets identical to the image on his shield.
"hooh...Hi everyone..huh...huh...huh...Sorry I'm late....huff...huff- I was a bit late returning from my pilgrimage to.... Da'beach...What'd I miss?"
(Sorry for being late, went on vacay and forgot to check my phone)

Tradrek began studying the model of the town Closed and its catacombs as soon as Invalid brought it up. He pulls out a paper and pen to make his own map of it while the other team members talk. He is almost done drawing the catacombs and marking what looked like entrances and exits, when the firbolg enters the room.
The kobold looks up with a couple blinks. "Ehh, depends. You got letter, too, yes?" He was fairly sure this firbolg was meant to be part of the team, but that was no guarantee. He looks back at Emra, who asked everyone about their state of readiness, and frowned. "I need a few minutes to grab stuff, then I good to go." Tradrek looks back at the sand and works on finishing his copy of a map of Closed.

(OOC: So how far is it to Closed? And how do we get there?)
About ten miles. It would take you a few hours to get there going on an issued vehicle.
Farewell.
(OOC: Interesting. What exactly do you mean by issued vehicle?)
