"Not if he knows what he was doing! Err... he did know what he was doing, yeah? Maybe we ought to take a look."
The smaller goblin, who introduced himself as Yuk Yuk hops up and hands the waterskin to Spiderbait, and leaps down towards you, heading up the rise to the edge of the ridge and out onto the bridge.
"Bro looks like he landed alright, but he's just lying there. YO! DUDE! BEST GET A MOVE ON!"

As Stena and Galingal approach the edge and are able to see more of the sparsely lit chasm, it becomes clear what the strands are. The chasm itself stretches to your right and left as far as you can see, until it is lost beyond further canyon walls. The far side is so distant it cannot be made out in the distance, only the presence of a soft fungal glow gives any reassurance that there is something there. Peering down, the entirity of the chasm is festooned with silken webbing, the few sparse sheets attached to the ceiling providing the haziness Galingal noted earlier. It is much denser below, the silk criss-crossing between stalagmites and ledges, to a point that you're not able to see a bottom below as it descends darker and darker.
In line with the bridge are massive pillars of worked stone built upon natural rock that once must have supported a bridge of impressive scope and scale, there are at least two visible supporting a section of bridge a few hundred feet away, then a gap, and what seems to be more beyond that, their presence only betrayed by the glowing fungal growth.
There are strands anchored to the end of the broken bridge, but Thorum has bypassed them and lies on a sheet of silk below the end of the bridge, some hundred feet down. He seems uninjured, though his foot is stuck in the webbing, and he seems to be huddled in a ball, shivering. He is only just visible in the webbing due to proximity of fungus growing on some rocks he was relatively close to landing on, but the silk itself extends and vanishes into darkness of the chasm.
It is an odd effect, the silk being invisible in the dark, but catching the light where it is backlit or otherwise illuminated by fungus.
"Been like this since we ended up down here, just never left, bruh. Once you vibe with the strands, you can feel the way out again. Oh, your buddy's got some company!"
Yuk Yuk points to where the webbing gives a sudden shift, as if it had been yanked, tossing Thorum about a bit.
"He gonna get up, or he need some help? Thinking he's a first timer, and he froze up down there, Spiderbait!", he calls to his larger companion.
"Totally froze!", the other goblin says as he clambers down and joins you at the edge.
"What'cha think, drop in and pluck her, into a fade out to the next pillar?"
"Totally."
Spiderbait dips his fingers in a gourd before tossing it to Yuk Yuk and smearing his fingers across the soles of his feet.
"Full send!"
"Totally sending!"
Spiderbait runs to the edge, leaving dark marks on the stone before leaping into the air and coming down on a steep strand that bends under his weight as he slides down farther, before the stretch of the strand catches back up and catapults him back into the air, where he tucks and rolls before getting his feet back under him in time to land on the strand again and slide further out. The next time it bounces him back up, he grabs hold of a crossing strand and swings himself up onto it, his silhouette balancing on the strand as he whoops and plucks at it, gaining some attention from farther out, the silk shifting and pulling as something large moves across it in his direction. He lets go, and goes sliding out into the dark.
"Here, you can help pull your buddy back up, once we hook him. Maybe call down so he knows it's not a spider.", Yuk Yuk says, pulling a length of spider silk rope from a pack and lowering a loop over the edge of the bridge.

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Galingal watches the grease the goblins applied to their feet and how it lets them slide along the webs.
He looks to see if what ever paid attention to the duergar also pays attention to the goblins as they move about, or if the grease not only lets them move across the web but also stops any signal being sent back to the spider.
"Dude is too solid for me to haul up!", Yuk Yuk says after his feet slip out from under him and he lands on his butt worryingly close to the edge for most of your perspectives.
It seems like the grease doesn't dampen vibrations, but Galingal can tell that the vibrations of a goblin sliding along it is different from a struggling prey, perhaps why Spiderbait paused to pluck the silk before moving off.
Kolose is flicking through pages of his book, as if looking for something that'd help in a situation like this. He does not have the upper body strength to be hauling...
Stena is unsure if she should attack them or not.
"Our friend, the one that rode the...strands. Is he dead?"
"Not if he knows what he was doing! Err... he did know what he was doing, yeah? Maybe we ought to take a look."

Galingal watches where Yuk Yuk places his feet and follows as closely as possible.
”What are strands?”
Galingal looks over the edge.
Stena will move over to look down, warily.

Galingal looks over at Stena.
"Try other tunnel?" Galingal asks. "Big web means big spiders."
Galingal then looks at the goblins.
"How can we get around the web?"
"Around the web? You mean you're not here to ride the Silken Paths? Bummer, dude. Where you trying to go?"
"Total bummer."

Stena takes the rope offered, a bit numbly after watching Spiderbait.
She does call down to Thorum,
"Thorum, we're going to hook you and pull you back up. Don't struggle."
Yuk Yuk dangles the rope down, and gently swings it back and forth to Thorum.

Galingal and Stena manage to haul a trembling Thorum back up to the lip of the ruined bridge. Yuk Yuk claps him on the back.
"That was flippin' awesome man! First timer just GOING for it!"
The duergar is largely unresponsive, huddling and muttering to himself, eyes shut.
