(Sounds good.  Petmailer willing of course to switch to melee if needed, but he wishes to use bow first, if able.)

”Fine.   Cool.  Yes.”  Petmailer holds his stare a little long with Stena, then turns away from her, heading toward his place in the marching order, gripping his bow tightly.  

((Haha! Stena wouldn't be too worried about not being properly pronoun placed, it certainly wouldn't reduce her opinion of drow anyhow.))

They party sets out after Yuk Yuk, who is taking his time picking his way through the web, pointing out tricky spots to those following. The first stretch of web terminates at a stalactite stretching down from the ceiling, its surface festooned with silken bundles, a testament to the hunting prowess of the spiders that inhabit this stretch of the Underdark. Gesturing for silence and care, he drops down onto a lower strand, helping guide the party to make it over safely. The way zigs and zags, but before long, even the long sighted among the party can see neither wall, and the darkness stretches out above and below, interrupted  only by the gauzy silks. If not for luminous mushrooms dotting far walls and serving almost as stars in the sky, it would be easy to mistake yourselves for being completely adrift in a void.

There is a brief pause as Spiderbait reconnoiters with the group, after he departs, Yuk Yuk has you gather around on a wider patch of silk so he doesn't have to raise his voice.

"Bit of a bummer, bros, but there are some weak strands the shortest way, Spiderbait thinks something else tried to come that way and got into a gnarly struggle with some spiders, and they haven't repaired the strands yet. We'll take a bit of a detour, but totally still on track!"

He sets off, climbing up a thick strand and gesturing for you to follow.

As your climbing up, Yuk Yuk holds up a hand and freezes, pointing upward and to the left.

A large spider hangs just at the edge of vision for those long sighted enough, being approached by two somewhat smaller spiders that are plucking at the web in a rhythmic fashion. They seem to have noticed one another, and move closer, first pair of legs raised and fangs extended.

Yuk Yuk gestures for you to back down.

The party makes it back down the strand without drawing any more spiders down upon them. Yuk Yuk reconsiders the route, then gestures you to follow him.

The party passes over top a cluster of spiders below, feeding on what seem to be some sort of subterranean crustacean. They are engrossed in their meal, and don't pay the party much mind, as you pass quietly above.

Spiderbait rejoins you ("Totally close!"), and the goblins lead you across more strands to the other side. It's been steady going, and your feet are ready for a break from walking across the soft give of the silken strands.

A large shape looms out ahead of you, resolving itself to be the far wall, the strand you are on ending in a wide anchor point against craggy cliff. Yuk Yuk indicates that Spiderbait says it is climbable, and that he saw a tunnel entrance farther down that the party can descend to. He points it out a bit of lighter colored area down below, illuminated by mushrooms growing in the mouth of the cave.

The larger goblin reaches the cliff wall and heads down.

Galingal pulls out a coil of silk rope from his pack, memories of half the group falling and getting separated the last time they went down on the webbing.

"Stena, anchor us from above," Galingal says. "Once down, we will anchor you."

Galingal indicates that they can use the rope to help guide each other down the cliff wall and once down, he and the others can help Stena as well. Otherwise, the same order makes sense.

Galingal Athletics: 15 

The goblins nod at Galinigal's good sense, and the party begins making their way down, using the rope to support them once it's anchored.

Stena does what Galingal requests, only realizing later she followed the order so smoothly. From an elf.

Muscles in his arms straining, Petmailer lowers himself down with the assistance of the silk rope, keeping his eye on the cliff wall and lowering to the opening below, slowly but surely.

Yuk Yuk and Spiderbait make their way down first, descending on the silk rope as easily as they navigate the silk strands surrounding you.

Galingal goes next, joining the two guides where they are holding the end of the rope and the excess from flopping about.

Petmailer descends with one hand looped around the rope, somehow playing out just enough to slowly descend with his bow gripped in his other hand... it seems almost as if, should it be needed, that he'd be able to nock an arrow, draw and shoot, all while holding on with one hand. He makes it safely to the ledge below.

As Lia begins climbing down, her hands slip and she starts to plummet.

Lia calls out as she falls, taking 17 falling damage as her cry echoes through the surrounding area.

((Petmailer and Galingal, would you have been standing at the base of the rope, or have moved away? Would you be making an effort to cushion her fall?))
