"Did you take any trophies while you were there?" she asks excitedly of Stena.
"Ol' Mercy can see what you can find for you, information-wise. Do you prefer quick over certain, if the opportunity for alternate means presents itself? And most importantly.... What do you have in trade?"

Galingal thinks for a moment before answering, looking over at the others then back to the knitting tiefling.
"If a choice, certainty first," Galingal says. "We can pay some. Can solve problems too."
Galingal almost hesitated to add the problem solving. They weren't mercenaries and they had solved little to know problems so far. But they did have strengths and could be formidable if needed.
Neth seems protective of Lia and she of him, they have made their way to a table and are watching the other patrons intently. Stena notes his hand is on the dagger at his hip, and he seems ready to spring into violence at the slightest indication that Galingal or Petmailer (or Stena, when she was conversing with the hostess) should be in danger. The smile on his face, however indicates that if asked, he'd assure that everything was 'fine'.
"If yourse not here t' 'rrest me, mebbe you'll join me?", the drow slurs, holding up a glass at Petmailer while trying to focus his eyes. He waves a hand in the general direction of the staff, as if summoning a round.
"Problems solvers are always welcome... but good to know you have other means if there are no problems that need solving you think you can handle... Let me see what I can discover on your behalf, and what jobs may be of comparable value?", the old tiefling says to Galingal, picking her knitting back up.

"Not here to arrest at all, just share a drink. And stories, perhaps. Wondering about what you've seen here in the city. Whatcha having?" Petmailer looks at the drow, wondering if he's too far gone to get any reliable information from him.

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
Stena eyes the circus and finds her monkeys. She sees Galigal is at least on mission but narrows her eyes on spotting the drow consorting with his own kind. Probably planning something.
She glances back over at the duergar and then looks down at her pale skinned hands. She closes them into fists before slowly opening them again and pulling her hood over her head to hide her features as she finds a seat near Neth and Lia where she can have her back to the wall.
"They don't like our kind.", the drow confides to Petmailer in a very loud whisper. One that is perhaps more audible than if he'd just spoken normally. "Tha's fine by me though... don't like most'vme myshelf. I'm a failure... failed my family, failed myself, failed the Harpers, failed the future..."

Jimjar speaks up, "I can slip out and scout things a bit, get a better lay of the land, as it were, at least in this part of the city we're allowed in. I bet between us we can find a way to get you to the surface!"

((I think we actually have a fair bit of coin on hand - I can't remember where it all came from but most of the party has a good amount of gold, silver, etc))
Galingal slips 10 gold pieces from his pouch and hands them over to Jimjar. "Should get you something."
Galingal nods at the elderly tiefling knitting away.
"She might know someone and said she'd ask around," Galingal says. "I would not count on it."
He looks more closely at Stena, critically examining her and nods.
"Should get to room before then." Galingal says then adds. "No more to do tonight. Rest now. Ready when Jimjar and the tiefling come back after ask around."
Galingal's vocabulary and grammar have improved in Common since he was taken captive but he still makes the odd mistake.

"No."
Stena eyes the waitress, and her excitement.
"Good luck to you and getting away from..."
She looks over the taverns patrons,
"This."
She moves on to make sure the group isn't getting into trouble, specifically Neth.

Galingal thanks the tiefling and heads back to join the others.
"Maybe find guide. Later." Galingal says, indicating the elderly tiefling.
Galingal looks over at Permailer conversing with the drow, which reminds him about where some of the group started out.
"We stick out in city" Galingal says. Meaning in the city with all the Underdark dwarves. "Stay here til know if guide?"
He suggests the last, thinking that getting some real rest for the first time in days would help everyone.

Galingal looks at Jimjar and nods.
”You blend in more than we do. And that is a bet I would pay.”
Stena watches from under her hood, contemplative.
"What coin do we have... in case I need to loosen some memories?"

Stena rises from her position at the wall and slips him another 10 gold.
She looks ready to say something but stops and just nods at him. To Gal she whispers,
"Aye'm not sure how long I am going to look like..."
She waves that off before continuing,
"Ye get any leads on a guide?"
Galingal nods at the elderly tiefling knitting away.

She surveys the 'team'.
"Can't leave them unattended, can ye watch them?"
Kolose by this point has been staring at a "drink" he's gotten for a while, as if gauging on whether he liked it, or even trusted it...
