Stena treads water and backs away, the creatures not finding an opening as she holds them at bay, finding a handhold and pulling herself up to a dangling position, toes just out of their reach.

"That's my squid-guy. Guy!"
Neth focuses on where the school of smaller ray-things are, and a giant tentacle seems to reach out, or appear, from the depths below thing. It lashes out and attacks. (At the closest one?)

Neth then reaches out his hand and lobs a blast of energy at Stena's old Best Friend.

A tentacle thrashes the water, but doesn't seem to connect with any of the creatures, but Neth's blast elicits a yelp of pain from the creature that initially led Stena astray.
"Hey new guy. Two gold says she blames this all on you.", Jimjar (the deep gnome) mutters as he fiddles with his crossbow. (Fixes it on a 15+: 15)
Buppido gets the anchor up enough to move the boat, but given that Stena is no longer in the water, seems unsure what to do, and returns to the helm.

Once Neth is on the boat, Galingal leans against the railing and sights in on Stena's Former Best Buddy. If he can see the creature in the water, he raises a hand and says "ohjauspultti".
A bright light builds in Galingal's hand and then flashes across the water, striking at the creature.

Lia closes her eyes against the flash of Galingal’s spell. If there is anything left of Stena’s ex-best-friend, she will fire another arrow towards it. If it’s dead she fires at the next closest fish thing to where it was…
Galingal's magic blasts the creature and its ravaged corpse sinks glowing down into the lake as Lia puts an arrow in another. Their leader killed, and the party more than they bargained for, the rest of the swarm descends and the glow soon fades as Stena's ex-BFF ends up in the stomachs of its underlings.
With Buppido helming, it's the work of but a few moments for the boat to be manoeuvered to where Stena can step aboard.

Neth, attempting to dry himself off but slightly relieved thinking he can now probably go a couple weeks without washing his clothes again after the little swim, is interrupted in thought by Stena.
"What was I thinking? Me? You fool, you drug me down into the water. I did nothing. Someone as apparently weak willed as you obviously would fall prey to that magic, or whatever it was."
Neth stares at the finger being leveled at him. "And you attacked my pet, I sent in there to try and save you. I may be malnourished, dirty, smelly, and a little crazy, but at least I'm not an idiot! You're lucky you didn't yourself killed. Or, worse yet, me."
"Weak willed am aye? Aye say that ye were working them and distracting meh while they enchanted meh while yeand yer pet lead those things here. Aye attacked an abomination that appeared to attack meh - aye could see in its red eyes it meant meh harm."
At Galingal's intervention Stena's hands ball into fists and she says coldly to Neth,
"Aye'm watching ye now. One misstep more and aye'll end ye."
She gives Galingal and Jimjar curt nods before heading below to check on the drow boy explaining,
"Just some of the Darklake wildlife, nothing ye need to worry about."
With a fair bit of friction between Stena and Neth, Galingal takes over the final watch and the rest of your rest period passes uneventfully, the dwarf and the tiefling keeping distance from one another.
As you rouse and prepare to get underway, you perhaps feel a bit more optimistic and ready to face the dangers of the Underdark
((Long rest complete, everyone is now Level 3, with full abilities (though I think Galingal did cast one of his 1st level slots for the day).))

Stena looks around for whatever food they have and gives the drow boy whatever she can, trying not to wake him. Once he is situated she will move to where Jimjar will be directing the boat and looks at the gnome expectantly. When she doesn't get a response from him as stands there she clears her throat and asks gruffly,
During the last of the peaceful watch, Galingal plays out the vision over and over in his head, repeatedly touching his face where the dream-raven had drawn blood.
"She wants a sacrifice," Galingal finally says to himself as Stena emerges out onto the deck.
As Stena questions Jimjar about where they should head, Galingal approaches.
"I will need help," Galingal says to Stena. "I need more power. But Queen want more from me first."
He touches his face where the raven did, on his cheek.
"She wants blood and sign. For now. Maybe more later." Galingal says and then points again at his cheek. "Need raven mark here. Burn maybe but only if draw blood. Cut maybe better. Need Stena do it. Lia draw with her magic. Stena cut."
Galingal uses the tip of his dagger to redraw the raven emblem that he had shown them in the K-T beer room.
"Will you help?"
(Yes, Galingal is down one spell slot to start the day).

"Neth! What in the hells were ye thinking? Those things clearly weren't meh friends."
Once she finds the tiefling she levels a finger,
"But ye, aye saw yer little friend right in the middle of them like it had lead them to us."

Galingal looks from Stena to Neth and back before looking over at Lia and just shaking his head. He then turns back to Stena.
"You are okay?" Galingal says to Stena, part question, part statement. "Go. Dry. Rest. I can finish watch."
He then looks at Neth.
"You have pet?" he asks. "Safe?"
"E.. yes I do. I don't know. Its...erm...well trained. If its safe it will find its way back."
Neth looks around at the party, nods, and walks into the boat proper (are there rooms he can go to?) dripping water along the way.
((The interior of the boat is all one room, if he wishes privacy, there is an open to the 'sky' area on the roof that is enclosed by a railing.))

Neth goes to the roof area.
He attempts to reach out or feel for the presence of his familiar.
Galingal watches Neth climb to the roof and Stena go inside. Then he looks to Lia and the others.
"Stena might kill your blue tiefling," Galingal says to Lia. "Easier survive all alive."
He looks out over the water where Stena's ex best friend had been.
"If need finish sleep okay," Galingal says to the others. "I keep watch."
Lia smiles at Galingal, “Kill Blue?… I’m not sure that’s possible…”, she says cryptically.
Then she adds diplomatically, “Stena is definitely… a survivor!…”, and her grin widens just a little.
And then she settles back down to rest…
