Neth climbs back aboard the ship, looking for something to dry off with.

”Well there is a little bit of damage. I would actually prefer to call it a patina, wonderful old boat like this. I think it’s fine.” He says to no one in particular as he continues to dress.

Galingal's eyes narrow slightly when Neth says that he thinks the boat is fine. That word has become embedded in Neth's vocabulary since he came out of the water after the water elemental.

He then looks around at the very dilapidated state of the boat, including the missing roof from where it was taken off by the low rock overhang.

He looks to Lia and in a low voice says "Your tiefling behaves strange. Something happened. He changed."

While he talks to Lia, he looks to see if the KT is going over the side as Stena ordered.

The KT sighs and splashes over the side.

Stena eyes Neth before moving over to the side to keep track of the KT. She'll spare a wary glance back at Buppy and Ranador.

Perception from Stena?

Lia whispers back to Galingal. “Strange, yes… But he IS part of the puzzle somehow… I’ve never felt more guided than when I found this man. You, more than anyone, must understand that… the way you’re guided to act by your…” she doesn’t say it but points at the mark on his cheek.

“He will turn the tide of this for us somehow. We can’t do it without him. I swear it…”. Her look is calm but it says ‘you have to believe me’.

Buppido is facing away from Stena as he glances at Ranador, who gives him a terse nod, before noticing your glancing warily at them, and he gives you a shy smile.

Stena gives Ranador a tight smile and waves him over to her. When he gets over she'll ask him, while still looking down at the water,

"How are ye doing? Ye be considering what ye want to do when we get to the city?"

"Alright. Don't know what there is to do, all I can remember what I was."

((What does he mean? What does he remember?))

((I can roll that, but I also am struggling with what he actually meant with 'all I can remember what I was'. Do you mean 'all I can remember is what I was'? Or 'if I can remember what I was'? Probably over analyzing it but don't want to offend him into Buppy's hands!))

((Aaaaahhhh. Yes, meant it to be "all I can remember IS what I was", and Stena would understand that to mean his life as a slave. I mean... that was totally me RPing him talking a bit odd for a drow due to being 'raised' by KTs...))

"And I'm NOT going back to that life.", Ranador says vehemently, clutching at his waist for a dagger that no longer rides there.

His statement elicits an approving nod from Buppido.

Stena looks at Ranador and says slowly,

"Ye are welcome to continue with us when we leave the city, for the surface. Up there aye can say ye won't ever be a slave but... Well drow aren't well received by most there so aye can't say it will be easy for ye."

((Half a boat away.))

Ranador sniffs and nods, turning away and gripping the edge of the boat.

While Stena talks with Ranador and eyes Buppido, Galingal takes over watching the water to see where the KT went.

Perception: 11  

Stena reaches out to pat the boy but she hesitates and let's her hand fall.

"It's yer choice, and, for what is worth, aye'm sorry none of them look too inviting. If ye decide to come to the surface aye'll do everything aye can for ye."

She lets her gaze fall back to the water. She takes a deep breath before continuing more quietly,

"Ranador? What are ye planning with Buppido? Aye'm concerned he doesn't have yer best in mind."
