The last goblin stands in shock at the rapidity of the attack. He looks at the door on the north wall, as Banjo's and Serena's words sink in. Trembling, he drops his weapons in resignation indicating surrender.
"Good choice goblin."Serena says closing in on the goblin, tying him up like the others. "I think we need to go back to Oakhurst for more rope soon." She says to the others with a smirk. Investigation to search room:22 "Whereto now Tresvar?" She says when finished, looking to the gold dragonborn.
Banjo chuckles, realizing he had rushed to guard a door that would never have been in the goblin's escape plans anyway.
He will nod politely to the surrendering goblin. "Excellent decision. We have already captured others from your tribe. They have been good little prisoners and thus we have treated them well. So long as you don't do anything foolish, like try to warn other goblins or try to harm us, you will be treated well, too. We have no desire to hurt you, but we have an important mission and we will do what we must to see it through. Now come this way. You will be bound and we will question you."

Serena looks over the room. She does not find anything of interest around the fire. Of the three additional doors exiting this room, the door on the south-west wall which Banjo had guarded during the fight is locked. The doors on the north and north-west walls are unlocked.
However, in examining the bodies of the two dead goblins, she finds one of them has a silver flask of dwarven make ((worth 50 gp)) filled with vile goblin wine. The other goblin has a key which looks like it might unlock a door.
Tresvar wipes her sword clean and says “I don’t know- maybe ask our new friends which way to the prisoners and the dragon? I wonder if that key opens this locked door?”
"Well done, everyone. I dare say we are really hitting our stride as a team." Banjo looks from Tresvar, to Serena, to Livia. If pride were wine, it would be pouring out of Banjo's sleeves and pantlegs.
"Let's get this gentleman," pointing toward the newest goblin prisoner, "tied up with the rest before we get ahead of ourselves."
Once the newest prisoner is secured, but not yet gagged, Banjo will proceed to question him. " I am Jebeddo Thunderdiggles. What is your name, friend? This door here," gesturing toward the locked door, "does your late friend's key open that door? What lies beyond? If there are goblins inside, how many should we expect?" As soon as the goblin has answered these questions, he will look over to the other two who are gagged. "What this fellow just told me, is it the truth? Nod yes or no."

Serena hands the silver flask to Banjo and takes the key for herself. Intimidation:22 She will the examine the locked door for traps. Investigation:20
The newly captured goblin initially grumbles and snarls while Banjo interrogates him. With Serena's added advice, he blinks, looks at Banjo and sighs. He spills the beans that the room to the south-west is the stockade. Its only occupants are prisoners. The key unlocks the door. He does not, however, give Banjo his name. Numbguts and Bearbelch confirm the information.
Meepo scrambles over, looking it see if the room might contain his dragon. He sees his kin and cries in draconic,
"Ito, Kavle, Hopu! You were captured! We did not know what had come of you! Good to see you. Where do they keep Calcryx? This, er, cousin, the great dragonborn Tresvar and her servants is helping us reclaim Calcryx. I hope to bring her back quickly to be our great mistress."
"Sit tight, I'll soon have you out." Serena says to the gnome. Unless her key also opens the cage she produces a pair of slender tools from a pocket in her backpack and goes to work at the lock. "Let's see if we can finally get some use out of you guys." She mumbles. Thieves tools: 23
"Zounds!" Banjo exclaims, seeing the gnome in the cage. He starts to rush in with Serena, then hesitates when he sees Meepo freeing his brethren. "Hrmn. Tresvar, a moment, my friend?" He motions for Tresvar to lean in so he doesn't have to shout up to her. "Perhaps you should remain in this room beside our goblin prisoners. I cannot say for certain how they treated the kobolds... but I presume it wasn't well. Now that they are loose, I worry they may seek to do violence upon Bearbelch, Numbguts and 'Grumpypants'. Whether they deserve such fate aside, they are prisoners in our care and any cruelty done to them ultimately would be ours to answer for. Do you mind staying out here to 'keep the peace,' as it were?"
With that settled, Banjo will join Serena with the gnome. "Hang in there, friend. We'll see you right out. Serena is a professional at this."

Serena realizes she knows exactly how to open this particular lock and starts humming a merry tune while doing two swift twists with her tools and then the door to the sturdy cage swings open.

The caged gnome looks up only with his eyes, for the cage restricts his head from turning up towards his would-be liberator.
The cage is sturdy and locked.
