Banjo tries to think of a clever pun about cooking to toss back at the Bugbear, but at this rate he will be dead before Banjo comes up with something. Hoping to conserve a spell, Banjo walks to within 20ft of the surviving rat and throws one of his daggers at it… Attack: 17 Damage: 5

As the Bugbear is distracted by Tresvar Serena swiftly draws a thin dagger from the back of her belt and slides it into the throat of the monster, the furry one. Dagger: 22 Damage: 6 Necrotic: 6 "Take that you furball."
Livia loads another bolt, aims and shoots. She's starting to get the feeling that if these are the dangers that adventurers face, then life outside is not at all that dangerous. Sure, she's seeing some horrors, but so long as there are others around, she might be able to simply try forgetting about them?
(The shot is aimed at the rat. If it's dead, then switch to fire on the Bugbear. If he's already dead too, then... no shot I guess.)
Banjo's dagger whirs like an angry dragonfly, and pierces the rat who squeaks loudly at being severely damaged by this projectile.
The Bugbear turns to Serena too late, his eyes bulging in indulity as her dagger stops his roar in his throat. He slumps to his knees and falls over, dead.
Livia's bolt whisks over the bugbear's corpse, which no long provides the same cover to the rat as before. The bolt catches the rat and slams it against the wall behind.

Those who follow Erky find that the wall opens up to a rough cavern, the floor of which is stained and smells of blood and animal musk. Light from glowing fungus reveals the eastern niche, which holds a pallet of matted furs, a wide wooden board on which a variety of weapons are affixed, and a great cloak of patchy black fur hung on a slender pole. To the edge of the niche are two large nests made of hair, dry fungus, and refuse.

Erky starts looking all around, picking up odds and ends here and there... mostly putting them back down in disgust. He appears to be finding many of his old belongings, but at this rate, it may take a while.
Fortunately, the keen eyes of Serena spot a bit more. First, she sees two spears, six javelins, one longsword, one greatsword are affixed to the weapon rack. She also notices a box tucked under one of the furs in the bugbear's bedding. This box contains 241 sp and 54 gp as well as a golden holy symbol that might have been taken from a certain acolyte of Garl Glittergold.
Tresvar looks through the bugbear's corpse. Aside from his Morningstar, his shield, hide armor and antlered horn she finds an assortment of coins amounting to about 13 sp.
Erky is still lost in his mad rummaging, not having noticed Serena's find. Every now and then he gives a little chortle, or picks something up, discards something else and puts the new thing on... slowly, he is looking less like a scrawny goblin and more like a bruised and battered gnome acolyte.
Catching up to the group, Tresvar examines the weapons to see if they seem ordinary or anything special about them. She hands the 19 silver from the bugbear to Banjo, to be combined with the party loot.
Given how long they are spending searching the room, Banjo begs for just a few minutes more. He sits down, clears some space in the refuse, takes out his spell book and casts detect magic as a ritual. He will then take a wandering look around both rooms.

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Serena picks up the golden holy symbol and hands it it Erky. "Looking for this perhaps?" She says with a smile. "And thanks by the way, very grateful that you assist us in this. You are free to leave whenever you like of course Erky but I for one will appreciate your company if you would stick around a bit longer."She adds smiling an irresistible smile. Persuasion to make Erky stay on: 22 Serena then shows Banjo what she has found, leaving it to the gnome to decide what is worth bringing back to Oakhurst.
(OOC: Any other exits from this cavern?)

(OOC: I thought Serena could still have concentration on the hex spell she cast in the battle with the undead so yes, it's the hex spell. Problem?)
The blast of arcane energy conjoins with Serena's curse to stagger and weaken the Bugbear. He shakes his head then beats his chest with a mighty roar.
Livia's bolt efficiently ends one of the giant rats.
The bugbear rushes out toward Serena and attacks with his morningstar while his rat attacks her from the side. ((not quite flanking))
bugbear attack: 20 damage: 11
giant rat: 23 damage: 4

Tresvar rushes to flank with the bugbear and attacks, with a fearsome roar.
24 to hit (advantage for flanking I think?)
11 damage
Tresvar's speedy attack slices across the bugbear's back, seriously injuring him. He howls in rage and pain.
Erky, prays "Protector bring the aggressor low as you did others who underestimated your wiles before!"
A glittering gold flame enwraps the bugbear
19
but the bugbear shakes off the flames in his rage.
((Banjo's turn, then top of the order again -> Serena flanking -> Livia -> bugbear and rat -> Tresvar -> Erky))
