The arrow flies directly over Ludolf's prone head falling harmless into the sea of snakes behind him. Unfortunately the writhing mass of tentacles squirm and coil their way around his limbs, slowly squeezing the blood from his limbs.
Pardot the nimble as always sidesteps the tentacles and fire off a bolt of light that grazes the Old Man's face. As the energy hits him the skin from his face peels away like a rind of an orange being pulled free. You see green scales below the surface of his skin as the Old Man smirks and hisses, "I suppose it is time I shed this skin anyways." He pulls a beautiful gold dagger from his waist and runs the edge of the blade around the outside of his face and peels the flesh from his own body.
The gruesome unwrapping of the creature is horrific. Emerging from the meatsuit is an abomination almost beyond description. More lizard than man his whole body is covered in scales. A large snake like head with a long green neck is flanked on either side two more serpents protruding from his back like perverse wings.

Trapped by the writhing mass of black tentacles, Ludolf desperately tries to use his mind over matter to push himself out of the grasp of the magic. (Bonus action, Telekinetic shove, fail save, 5 feet south and out of effect.)
Ludolf slides backward away from the tentacles and to relative safety and firing eldritch blasts of energy from his eyes as he glides backwards through the sloppy swamp water. Both blasts land soundly against the Malison who hisses in anger.
Daventry and Triäsa are up!

Daventry peers through a gap in the slats of the building, spotting the horrifying creature emerge from the shell of the old man. "Shit.... shit shit shit."
She calms herself, watching Ludolf's desperate blasts, seeing how injured Triasa and Pardot are, the oppresive wall of snakes surrounding all avenues of escape. A plan. She has to have a plan, or everything she cares for will die in this damn swamp.
She sheathes her rapier, and shifts behind the building, quickly pulling a pickset from her tools and slipping it into the strap of her smallclothes, underneath her armor.
Sleight of Hand: 8 (shit)
She climbs to the top of the building, taking a look at the creature fully, her mind having trouble comprehending what she is looking at. From her bag, she removes the clay tablet she made from the wooden rollers, semi-hardened from drying out naturally. She closes her eyes, falls to her knees, and raises the tablet above her head.
"Friends, cease! We've a grave misunderstanding! The prophecy is true, and we stand before the servants of YIG! Rejoice!" she shouts to her companions.
She looks to the multi-headed snake figure."We've traveled here to join with you! To add our forces to yours, our blades and mettle serving your efforts! We didn't know you and your kin were so blessed! Forgive our transgression and join with us in celebration of YIG!"
Seeing what Daventry is trying, Triäsa will grab her lute to srum a chord and softly sing the Enhance Ability spell to give Daventry Eagle's Splendor. (Advantage on CHA Checks, last up to 1 hour with Conc.)
She continues singing, granting Bardic Inspiration to Ludolf. She tries to remain hidden behind the cover of the building when done.
The Old man continues his stride forward now, dropping his concentration on the Black Tentacles they pull back into the ground. "Submit or not it is time for this end. You will be the final sacrifice that ushers in the New World." You all feel the weave coalesce around the creature and as very air around him shimmers in a green purple hue. Then a familiar feeling surrounds all of you, well everyone but Triäsa. A purple mist fills the space as you are all targeted by a simple sleep spell.... a 9th level sleep spell...

Daventry and Pardot drop to the ground blissfully asleep and no longer aware of the danger that surrounds them. Ludolf already prone simply closes his eyes and drifts off....
Triäsa stands alone awake and aware. The Lizard Man looks at you and hisses, "Cursed, wretched Elvish blood... your sleep shall be wrought by pain...." He looks at his minions "Make her bleed but she does not die!"
The Malison resumes his turn with his new orders and charges directly at Triäsa dropping his bow carelessly to the ground and pulling his scimitar he tries to pummel you with the hilt.
Attack: 19 Damage: 4
Attack: 19 Damage: 7
At the end of this turn the Old Man uses a legendary action to close the final distance to Triäsa
The Priest rushes Triäsa with an ornate blue bronze dagger drawn, he non-lethally strikes at the solitary bard.
Attack: 22 Damage: 3 +8 Poison
Attack: 22 Damage: 2 +10 Poison
For his second legendary action the Old Man brandishes the same dagger he used to cut his skin off. He cleans it quickly on his chest and you can see he pulls power from it. He strikes twice
Attack: 25 Damage: 9

It is insufferably hot and the air is so thick and humid breathing is a seriously difficult task. But you are breathing, and that means you are alive. In fact you feel pretty darn good. Sure you muscles ache, your skin burns and wow do you have a headache but that's the price for not being dead. Slowly you blink your eyes open and lift your head from the dirty stone floor. The cell is 15 feet square with a single door of iron-reinforced wood, locked from the other side. The door has a small, barred window at eye level. There is no light source within the cell, but the window lets in some dim light from the torches in the hallway beyond.
As your eyes adjust further the pain of memory and your defeat comes flooding back. Each of you are wearing the same thing, a white silken gown. It is embroidered with elegant dark green stitching. Snakes devouring each other with strange scattered symbols dancing along the white silk. The gown smells of acid and stings your eyes until you get used to the burning smell. You have no shoes, no pants, no rings, no possessions... not even a cleverly concealed lockpick. As your hands run over the soft gown you notice your wounds are perfectly dressed the acid burns are treated with some of salve and are healing. You actually feel very, very good. Whoever has been watching over you certainly did not want you to die. (You all may reap the benefits of a long rest)
Your rather impressed by your condition until you look at your hands... On the palm of each over your hands a strange glyph is branded on skin... a strange combination of circles and triangles none of you have ever seen anything like it.

Both of Pardot's attacks his the Old Man but without much trouble he maintains his concentration.
If you don't move out of the tentacles you will have to repeat the spell save.
