OOC: Adrima, Polly did a magic trick and kept the vampire from grappling you at all, so you are still inside. Polly, you're right; your speed is only halved if they resist. Everyone (including Adrima and Polly), I am going to assume that you are close enough to the door to get out and that you do so.
Are we using encumbrance? That may slow the speed down.
OOC: The officer was only overkilled by 1 point of damage, and please slow down so I can put together the dramatic post I've been planning since last night.

OOC: Also another good point. Everyone is kind of jumping the gun (that's my job, haha!) to attack all at once and well, the mood has to be set.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Cannons charges outside, screaming like a monkey, then throws a fire bomb at the escaping vampires, mostly unaware of his allies if they are next to them. 1 fire damage on a failed save.
OOC: While I find it hilarious for Cannons to run out and somehow miss as he tries to firebomb a corpse, it should be noted that the combat is effectively over until the DM presents the next piece of the story. Which for now means we are all outside amongst a bunch of vampire corpses.

[ooc]I have a feeling it’s more than just corpses.
Cannons continues lobbing fire bombs at the corpses until he realizes... they're corpses. He begins looking around the area, saying "More? More blow-ups to make?"
You pour out of the Shark's Fang in a screaming wave, reminiscent of an attack by the tavern's namesake, and meet what at first looks like a full-scale Legion invasion.
The sky is filled with sirens and skymarchers trading spells--here a jagged lightning bolt ripping through a vampire; there a stormcaller falling to the ground, her feathers ripped away by a dark, ominous wind. On what passes for ground here, orcs are bludgeoning vampires with whatever comes to hand, including other vampires; humans are crossing swords with vampire conquistadors; and goblins are ducking in and out of the fray, distracting the vampires--sometimes fatally--and hacking at their legs. In the not-so-far distance, you can see a Dusk Legion dreadnought docked in the harbor, just as though it belonged there.
On your left, you see none other than Captain Lannery Storm herself pressed against a wall by a particularly vicious conquistador. She drops, just a few inches, and the vampire goes for her throat. Before it can bite her, though, it explodes in a ball of green fire, as does a nearby vampire that was about to kill a Fathom Fleet goblin.
On your right, a hulking black-skinned orc, holding a smooth-headed black-iron flail and with evil-looking black smoke rising from his fists, is holding his own quite effectively against a rather sizable chunk of the invading army--and threatening to destroy the "land" underfoot in the process.
The air--not the sky, but the air--is filled with mystical incantations, orders and prayers in Vampire, shouts, war-cries, the ring of metal on metal, the screams of the fallen, and the crackle of flames, overpowering the normal sounds of High and Dry.
OOC: I told you it was important.

Grifhook surveys the landscape, "Bloody 'ell. Well, the barmaid is going to have to take a raincheck. But before we do anymore scrappin'..."and he runs off back into the tavern looking for the staff the officer had. Thinking to himself it might be important and if not, worth some gold at least.
OOC: Should I make a check or does it stand out well enough to not require one?
Xyran a bit shellshocked stops his cloak from billowing, turns his head left to right, left to right. Then his Goblin senses and greed gives him an idea "Let's help Captain Storm! Put her in our debt!" and points a finger in her direction.

Adrima charges forward and neatly disembowels the vampire with the broken leg.
Xyran engages a random Legion soldier and impales him. The vampire's eyes bulge, he gasps and coughs up blood, and he slides off Xyran's rapier.
Grifhook takes a potshot at the vampire that tried to attack Adrima and shoots his eye out.
Three dead soldiers in as many attacks. Aforementioned important post coming soon.
