In his surprise Arcturis almost falls backward out of the chair he was leaning back in. "Legion soldiers here? In High and Dry?" he says to no one in particular.

Catching his balance he slides the chair back and stands drawing his rapier. His brow furrowed in anger Arcturis raises his hand and points toward the officer. He cites the mystical words required and a bolt of fire appears from his outstretched hand.

The bullet catches the officer in the shoulder.  His face registers a mix of shock and pain.  He gasps and almost drops to his knees, but uses his good arm and his staff to stay mostly upright. 

Arcturis, in his surprise, fumbles the spell, dealing 5 fire damage to himself. 

Retiog lets out a primal roar, reminiscent of the giant lizards that roam the land (Bonus Action: Rage). With the all the ferocity of a Ceratops, he charges in with his mace all ready pulled back to strike. 

(OCC: If I can get to the officer without provoking opportunity attacks I will attack him, otherwise I will attack the nearest soldier)

Attack: 11  , Damage: 8

Polly laughs at the officer, “I’ve seen better dressed corpses at a funeral for a nudist!” And will cast Vicious Mockery at the officer for 1 psychic damage on a failed DC 13 Wis save. Furthermore, Polly will inspire Cannons for 1d6. “So light em up up up, light em up up up, light em up up up set those vampires on fiYA!~”

"Aye, that's right! Shiver in your little booties!" he yells from behind his chair as he proceeds to quickly reload his cannon.

(OOC: Would I receive any form of cover behind this chair?)

Will the officer die to having his clothes insulted?  21

Yes.  Yes he will.  Retoig charges in between the front pair of soldiers and brains him first, though. 

OOC: The chair provides half cover--+2 to AC and Dex saves.  And Polly just killed a man by insulting his clothing, which earns him inspiration. 

"Aye, that's right. The old one-two punch. I set em' up and Polly knocks em' down! Here here!" Grifhook exclaims as he watches the officer go down.

Polly dusts off his nails on his dublet, “Boom. I’m that good.” Blatantly ignoring the bulletwounds, he winks, “Just that good.”

Grifhook glares at Polly then looks at his Thunder Cannon, "The bird was fighting another goblin earlier thinking he was me. He clearly needs his eyesight looked at..." as he pats it in a reassuring manner.

OOC: My Thunder Cannon fires what is essentially mini cannon balls. And that plus the thunder damage should leave a nice sized hole in a target.

“I’ll have you know, my ears work fine and words are hurtful!” Polly mutters to himself, “Not as hurtful as mine but still...”

Adrima jumps into the fray and runs toward the first pair of soldiers.

Casting Booming Blade, she infuses thunder in her trident and attack: 11 damage 8 piercing (+ 3 Thunder if he moves away from her)

"Hahaha!! Dis one go splat!" Retiog turns from his fallen targer and surveys the room. He readies for a likely counterattack from a nearby Dusk Legion soldier.

On a failed DC 13 Dex save, they both take 3 fire damage.

Driss moves in front of the ranged specialists interposing himself. Mace ready in one hand he waits for the soldiers to come to him. Driss starts to pray for the storm to help him and he's ready to react. 

He also looks at the room to see if one or more of his allies need healing. 

Always moving he prays that the shooters are as good as they say. 

OOC: ready to do Wrath of the Storm as reaction.

Adrima gores a soldier.  Incredibly, he's still standing. 

Cannons chucks a boom-thing.  Dex saves: 11 and 7.  The gored vampire somehow manages to stay alive, but his comrade's leg is rather badly burnt.

Xyran whips out his rapier and uses Cloak of Billowing, he then moves towards and lunges at the nearest soldier with a Rapier, Attack: 20. After that, he moves away and back from that soldier. 

"Ye find yerself fightin' against the best swordsman on the seas of Ixalan." He smiles. 

Damage roll:9 Sneak Attack damage:6

That is a hit.  Roll damage.
