Kronk's attack crushes one mole-bat, though his second attack goes wide. The second mole-bat menacing Kronk looks over at Dusty, cocking its head. 3 It doesn't seem to understand what he's saying, but looks rather offended anyways.
Noting Kronk's situation, Isoldus calmly assessed the train's capabilities before noding down towards Dusty. "Keep the train moving!" Isoldus roared towards Hugeo, clambering from the captain's chair and drawing his sword to descend upon the bats attacking Kronk.

Fully in his element, Winchester unloads his revolver into the first mole bat. Reading the sway of the battlefield, he dodges out of the way just in time to avoid getting pounced by yet another mole. He snarls as he dances out of the way of the attack and lifts his gun at the thing. "Get your cutters off me! Someone's jealous eh? Don't worry buddy, I'll powder you up just like rest of your lot!"
Hugeo keeps the train moving forward. He's a bit disappointed that he doesn't get to be part of the main action but at the same time, those are just a few bats. By the time he gets there, they'll probably be dead anyhow.
Isoldus carves the one bat still attacking Kronk into two pieces, leaving the hulking warrior free of attackers. Winchester fires off a shot, which strikes true but does not kill its target. Cormac manages to finally kill the mole-bat attacking his steel defender. More mole-bats enter, crowding into the car already littered with corpses.

A surge in the train combined with the mole bat’s attack caused Isoldus to momentarily lose his balance. Unfazed, the Dragonborn stood and unleashed roar as he lifted his blade to the sky, a streak of pale, white light not quite radiant enough to be holy shining from the blade, seeking to frighten the bats away. It’s clear the brilliance Isoldus wielded was an empty reflection of something which should have a divine aspect to it - perhaps a reflection of Isoldus’s cruel, unwavering devotion to his mission, his people, and himself rather than a specific deity.
Action - Channel Divinity; any Mole Rat within 30’ of Isoldus must make a DC 14 Wisdom saving throw or be Frightened of Isoldus. They are able to make a saving throw at the end of their turn if they’re out of range.
Cormac readies his knife once more as he side steps the mole-bat and then steps forward as he stabs towards the it, commanding his defender to attack the one that attacked it.
Dusty seeing most of the molebats back away in fear, relaxes and concentrates upon the task in front of him, "ready yourself Hugeo, here comes a boost!" once again 'Directing power' granting Hugeo half the trains movement speed again to play with as he sees fit.
Another boost causes the train to rattle as it travels roughly 82 km/h (50 m/h, I think) for a few seconds, moving 450 feet forward and turning slightly to correct course. It doesn't sound to Hugeo like he's needed for fighting, so for now, keeping the train moving is enough.

Still busy firing his bullets, Winchester realizes he messed up as the mole now finally gets a jump on him. The force of the attack pushes him backwards and into the wall of the wagon with a heavy thud, but the silver lining that it prevents him from losing his footing. With a flick of his wrist, Winchester stows away the revolver, counting his shells so ingrained in his mind that he knows the weapon is useless at this point, forcing him to resort to heavier artillery. With a bloody cough and a grunt, he wipes some dirt off his face and yells "Oy Marcus, your damn train's got an infestation problem!" as he levels his pump shotgun at the mole bat in front of him.
Three of the remaining mole-bats, including the one that did not run, are felled by the party's combined actions. The remaining two turn tail and run, and they seem to be the last of them.
Isoldus and Cormac's Steel Defender may make an opportunity attack, otherwise combat is over!

As the last two get their attacks in, Dusty, still concentrating on keeping the engines running at full power shouts out through the noise without looking up "anyone injured more than is manageable come see me, or I suppose Isoldus..."
Isoldus watched in approval as the rats fled; it was better for enemies to flee - most battles were won when fear shone in the enemies' eyes.
The dragonborn cupped clawed hands and unleashed a gravelly shout over the train engine's raucous sound. "Come to me if any of you are injured. Keep the engines moving." Isoldus reentered the captain's quarters, resuming his tactical analysis of the train's engines, speed, maneuverability, and theoretical combat prowess, should the need arise. Despite being opposed to such machinery - when Isoldus ruled this land, he would offer the more reliable alternatives - Isoldus recognized understanding how these machines worked was crucial to earn the party's trust in his position and, frankly, to survive.
Dusty keeps the engine running and looks around for where Marcus and Irene got to, If he can see them from his station he would like to see how they are reacting to the fight that just happened and the groups actions. Insight; 4
The train continues unhindered, chugging along into the night. The rhythmic chugging of the engine and the clank... clank... clank... of the rails assembling themselves at the front of the train is almost calming, compared to the frantic fighting that had occurred moments before. Marcus is found hiding under a seat, eyes wide, but Dusty manages to coax him out. Irene, on the other hand, needs no such coaxing; she was holding her ground behind the front lines the whole time, ready to fight if the need came. She assists the rest of the crew with the disposal of the mole-rats' bodies, either to the sands or to the supplies, depending on whether or not the crew is willing to use their bodies for meat. Mole-rat is tough and stringy, but not all that bad once you're used to the taste. You're expected to reach Anth'Aur in a matter of hours, but for the town is nowhere in sight. Just smog and sand, as far as the eye can see. Occasionally, you pass a source of the white smoke that permeates the whole land: a coal-beacon, like a great smokestack, belching smoke into the air. The stuff is supposed to be good for the rail network, but it also stings the eyes and the throat, and drops visibility to damn near nothing. That's not to mention the effects of the magically charged smoke reserved to those who spend far too much time exposed to it.
(Feel free to spend the time you have left on the journey however you like, you'll arrive soon)
(Also, because I don't like that some people like the pilot are just left out of the fight totally whenever you're boarded, I'm ruling it that the train will continue to cruise at 2/3 of its ordinary speed while unmanned, and will be unable to turn. Just so when maneuverability isn't an issue, the pilot can still fight.)

The night passes without further trouble, and Dusty eventually stirs awake to see the outline of a wastebone forming from the smog. It's a large, flat, curved bone, with many smaller protrusions that somewhat resemble ribs, though they are broken and shattered in many places. Those among the crew who have seen a bird's skeleton before would recognize it as something very similar to a keel bone, though of course of a much larger scale. There is a great wall built around the town, in equal parts made of wastebone and the twisted wood of the medusa tree. There is a small sandport protruding from the town, which is also walled off, though less sturdily. As you emerge from the fog, lights begin flashing from the sandport, and the train's communications system begins translating them into text, which Hugeo reads and (assumedly) relays to the rest of the crew.
