Aloft the light falls like a halo around you revealing a library of sorts and on the shelves a myriad of different object as well as books. Do proceed or stay put?
OOC: The door disappears once Val is through behind you, there is only darkness now behind him!

Sometimes a Nat 1 tells a better story than a Nat 20 ever could.
Val finds several books but none of hte titles are in a language you can read. These books are heavy. Each seem to be the size of your arm and when you pull them down you see they're held to the shelves with chains as if to discourage someone...borrowing them, you hope.
Keth you pick up a ship in a bottle, a literal one, and upon peering at it you see movement inside!! You're shocked but you think...no it can not be, are those harpies? It's an enchantment you have never seen and magic beyond your knowledge!!
“Wow that was heavy “ he comments. “Keth what do you have there?” He looks and open his eyes amazed “ Is that... can’t be... right?” He looks at his companions
Keth your unsure if it's a capture memory or what but the magic is amazing! While looking at the bottle however you fail to see several hooded figures appear in the room in a semi-circle around you three and closing in.

They came in as if on a mist, they are surrounding the group four figure equidistant from one another. Aerlian you see nothing but darkness encroaching as if their mere presences is dimming your light enchantment!

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Note: The size of the map depicts the magic darkness which makes you unable to see beyond the figures as they are bearing down on you as Aerlian's own light is flickering in about out.
Beign surprised by the figure the druid Valwarin jumps on his feet and let his instincts take control. Without thinking he changes into a wolf form. Where there was an elf, suddenly there is a dire wolf, his white fur reflecting the dim light, growling at the figure and he jumps over the figure that it's close to him.
Both of you staved off the hood figures attacks and Val's attack dose land but does not do the amount of damage one would think it should as you pass through it landing on the other side!! The hood figure remains upright as well as the other two figures begin to close in on Keth.
Fg 3 comes for Keth who also makes a WIZ save against a DC 14.
Aerlian's up!
Fg 4 on deck!

OOC is Aerlian's staff still producing light, under normal conditions it would be making a lot of light for an hour but I get the impression things are not the same way here.

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Unwilling to risk moving into the darkness and seeing that Val's attack seemed less effective than it should've Aerlian risks a Fire bolt at the closest hooded figure
(I'm assuming in melee range so disadvantage to hit)
Attack 6
Damage if hits 7
