Following after Davis, Sohk calls out to the woman, "And some food!" Still shaking a bit as he makes his way in, Sohk sets down the crate next to where he will sit, so that he can keep an eye on it. Rubbing his arms as he waits for drinks, he is still smiling and making short sounds of relief as he tries to warm himself.
The inhabitants inside go back to chattering, eating and drinking. The bartender quickly grabs two mugs and fills it with ale from the keg sitting behind her. She comes around and places it in front Davis and Sohk.
"Well, I'd stay nearby Kleine. There's a cannibal on the outskirts hunting people and our animals."
she says as she glances around the room checking the other tables.
"ls home made beef stew ok with you? If so I'll go put the order in?"
"Stew sounds perfect about now," Magwynn says, sitting down as well -- delicately, at first, to see if the furniture can handle her size. "Also, do you know where we can locate Mrs. Goodwinn? We have some deliveries for her."
Spix says “ale, and stew for me as well, thank you. Some creatures attacked us in the storm, down near Neverwinter, we were able to frighten them off, killed one, injured the others. What’s the name of this place?.”
"Oh this place. This place is called Moore's Hold. The original owner David Moore was pretty old and died of natural causes. His manager now owner Mrs. Goodwinn took over and has been running it ever since." she blinks as Magwynn's words catch up to her.
"A deliver you say?" as she thinks for a moment
"It's been awhile since we had a delivery. Whom should I say brought it?"
Velan felt a little better when the warrior spoke. The hexblood was not the only one to worry about what they found in the storm, or, rather, what had found them. No one answered his question about plaques, though, but and he didn’t bother repeating it. Specially not after finding the smell of food. That meant fire, warmth. Everything else could wait.
He entered as the human-looking men and the jolly dwarf exchanged words with the innkeeper. One after the other his companions ordered some food. Without coin of his own, the wizard simply watches in silence until Spix talks.
“Wait, what?” Velan questioned as her mentioned Neverwinter. “We were attacked by the gnolls near Bryn Shander.”
More likely than not Spix was just thinking of Neverwinter while talking about Bryn Shander and in a moment of distraction give a name in place of the other. Is this what people call being homesick? He pondered, unable to remember the last time he thought like that. But then it was not the first time someone in the party mentioned a place outside of the Ten Towns.
“The delivery comes from Everett Blackheart.” As he spoke the wizard brought out the necklace he got at Blackheart’s tent and held it in a way that she can see the EH Inc engraving.
Zin pulls up a seat and heartily digs into the stew and between mouthfuls, he says "Aye, Mr. Blackheart sent us with this delivery for Mrs. Goodwinn. We survived a storm and attack from a strange being and its two hyena attack beasts to bring it here. He said she would be expecting us and paying us for the delivery?" He finishes with a questioning look to the woman. "I'm working on a ballad to commemorate the occasion. But my artistic process works better on a full stomach."

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
The bartender looks back and forth as everybody chimes in and what happened during their journey. Then looks up as she see's the other guests all stop what there doing when the word gnolls and hyena come forth. She takes a big gulp as she looks down for a moment. Before looking back towards the party.
"I'll inform Mrs. Goodwinn right away."
With that she turns and heads off towards the back as the patrons through out the place start to chatter back and forth on their tables. You overhear them say
"Did they say Gnolls?"
"Oh, no not again."
"Hunny, I told you we should have left last winter." "Woman there probably mistaken. It probably some dumb kids with masks or something."
As a serving wench comes from behind the back with several bowls of food. She serves everybody at the table with stew. She momentarily leaves to get the remaining drinks before heading back to the kitchen.
You see A older distinct looking lady come from the back. She is wearing a half black, half purple full length dress with a greyish white rose just below her right shoulders. She stands there a moment just as the bartender who is now standing beside her points towards your table. She nods towards the bartender then comes forth. The bartender resumes her duties back behind the bar. Just as she arrives the serving wench from the back brings fresh bread, butter, a bit of honey combs and some silver ware and places them on the table.
"Hello everybody. My name is Barbara Goodwinn. I am the owner of Moores Hold. I've been told you have brought me my delivery. Is this correct?"
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"Yes, Mrs. Goodwinn, it was quite the journey. Very dangerous. We survived the trip and dispatched one of the hyena-gnoll like creatures, the fellow who was directed them got away. There was a sudden blizzard and thundersnow storm. A trek worthy of a tale or a song. All to bring you this delivery. At your service ma'am. Or more exactly, Mr. Blackheart's service. He mentioned that there would be some form of payment upon delivery?"
Zin accentuates the danger, the attack, how bravely they fought, with many hand gestures at the different parts.
In between parts of the description, he glances at the grayish white rose on her shoulder, finds it odd. Does he remember any significance to this, if it is related to any group or faction? Or, like a cigar just being a cigar - is it just a rose?
"Yes, I have no doubts that the trip has been very dangerous as well as unfavorable to a group such as your selves. I see Mr. Blackheart made a much better selection this time vs the previous selection he originally choose. At this point I can only hope you all will be much more trust worthy then the last."
as she looks around the table
"Now as far as payment I will offer you free room and board as long as you full fill as well as complete the various tasks I assign you. And for delivering today's crate of much needed supplies. You have your choice of 50 gold or a single healing potion. So until you decide what you would prefer then please enjoy the bread, the stew and drinks for the evening. Then let me know what your choice is and my bartender Melody will take care of getting you a room key and help you situate your surroundings. So if there isn't any questions up to this point I shall leave you in peace and head to my office. In the morning after breakfast I shall meet you all down here."
She looks around the table then starts to stand up. As Melody comes forth and takes the crate to the back.
“Thank you for your hospitality and offer of employment. I will take a potion as payment. I have a feeling it will come in handy! I can’t speak for my companions, but I would be honored to do what I can to help the people of the north.” Spix says
"I too will take gold." Davis speaks up. "Potions are useful, and having some with us will be a good idea, but there are likely other things we are going to need as well."
Sohk finishes his bite and says, "I'll take a potion! Thank you kindly." Then turns back to his food with vigor, enjoying the warmth the hot food is giving him.
Zin says “Thank you Mrs. Goodwinn, we will discuss in the morning but I think I will take gold as well, I may wish to purchase an upgrade to my leather outfit if it is available here. I will sleep ver soundly tonight, as I imagine the rest of us will.” He finishes his meal and then speaks to the bartender about adding in a song or two, always glad to perform for a new venue. After his performance is done, he turns in for the night.

After enjoying his meal and ale, Sohk feels sufficiently warmed up. He lounges around and enjoys Zin's performance, until he can hardly keep his eyes open and almost falls asleep at the table. "What a day!" he exclaims as he stretches and walks towards his room.
Davis stays up sipping an ale and listening to the talk around the common room. He watches each of his companions head off to their rooms, and enjoys the music. He would try to hit up some locals about anything they know of the issues around here, and these hyenas in particular. He would not be pushy though, just trying to tease some details out of various locals. If any seemed uncomfortable with the topics he would change to a different one and try to keep things casual. As the common room begins to empty out he would finally make his way up to his own chambers.

Spix says “ it’s been a long day, I meant Bryn Shander. Yes- I hope this delivery will help the people here. It is a dangerous situation.”
She has removed the mask from her face, she looks a little pale and tired. Dried blood is visible on her shoulder.
"Yes, I have no doubts that the trip has been very dangerous as well as unfavorable to a group such as your selves.
