Eldin decides to stealthily move within 5ft of the man. He readies an action to tackle the man to the ground if the man tries to cut the rope or mess with it while it's still in use.
The man gives a quick look around (Perception:10)...
then uses his blade to pry a thick pin from the line bearing the weight of the people above. They swing up high ready to release into some trick.
Eldin dives in to stop him (Acrobatics: 24) dragging the man from his work. The girl overhead flips effortlessly through the air and catches the opposite bar. The man swings back and forth, back and forth... He turns while he swings to look to you, Eldin. As you struggle with the interloper his cloak rips away revealing a brightly colored costume beneath. "What are you doing, man!" He shouts.
"Trying to put on an act, we didn't need any Audience participation!" A strong man and couple of clowns come to assist him, and he disappears suddenly, rolling through their legs.
The man on the trapeeze swings high and strong then plummets pulling hard on his bar, flinging the interloper up into the air, his black cloak left behind revealing his bright costume. He sails high into the air flipping and turning before he catches on the opposite bar with the girl. The audience cheers, but you can imagine how they might have reacted with slightly better timing on that trick...
(I threw together that encounter table in a hurry. 12-13 was "all part of the show", 14-15 was "not part of the show" =P )
Eldin quickly decides it might be time to make himself scarce and quickly sneaks back to his seat. He will stay in stealth mode for the remainder of the show.

(Nah man. Eldin isn't a prick. He just left temporarily and then came back again before the show was over. Let's say he left for 10 minutes and came back with his scarf wrapped around his face)
((Definitely no burst posting going on now. Nope, no way.))

How far is the hooded man from Eldin and how much time does he have?
He is about 30 feet away. How much time you have depends on what the interloper is hoping to accomplish.
