The next day Eldin wakes up a bit later than usual, spending a good portion of the night attuning to his new toy. He wishes the staff at the Glory a good morning and tells Adair that he'd be busy for most of the day. He looks and notices Grianne isn't in her usual seat (probably fighting in the underground pit). He shrugs and doesn't think much of it.
He goes out and looks to see if he can buy some land in the far edges of the town and near the woods. Basically, he's looking for land to build a cabin in the woods.
Persuasion to find the land and try to get it for cheaper: 15
Grianne is in fact fighting in the underground arena. Having ended the night before after the bath, she creates a feast fit for a hero and shares it with Eldin before retiring and getting her arena invitation in the morning.

Grianne Wildpaw: Wood Elf Druid level 12 (8W-4L)- - Coliseum of Conquest: Master of Faerie Fire. Just don't ask her to spell it.
Grianne Wildpaw: Wood Elf Druid level 6 (2W-1L)- - Coliseum Reborn : Master of a Myriad of forms.
Runt, the Stormchosen: Half-Orc barbarian level 5 -- The Guild
(@Brian: They thankfully eratta'd in the DMG for the spells normal casting time replacing the usual spell scroll casting time for the cases of Bonus Actions and Reactions.)
(@Keneux: Managed to get swapped into Hexblade, eh? :D)
Marmaduke can accept the order, though notes that it will be 5(in game) days before the first scroll can be worked on due to other orders. If that is alright, she will let you know you can start picking them up on the evening of the 5th day and onward, or come back on the 8th if the darlingsmooth *shakes head* just come back when it's done! Noting the oddness out of the boss, Zalandra takes over noting the final details.
(@All: I would be a butt, and have her say "But for an extra 100gp per spell level to jump ahead of the order line. :D". But she has more scruples than Magnio.)
(@Brian: But also yes. You can copy spells from scrolls into a spellbook. Only downsides is that enterprising new wizards probably have most of the spells Marm or Mag could for that purpose starting out in the arena generally. :P)

Excited, Mazara goes a hunting around town for a smith or armorer(or combination of the two!) who might be interested in purchasing a set of "loved" Plate set for a decent price.
THEN, he sees about working out a deal with another over the purchase of a warhorse, as well as a set of scale mail, Saddle, Military, and finally a month's worth of stabling and food.
(@Orileo, maybe a Divination Wizard? No... hm.... maybe role play a Samurai Fighter as using the power of Odin? Or..... Druid! That’s it! There’s one! Make it be ‘Uses the Fire of Odin to bring balance to the woods’ type of thing. I helped.)
(I wish Artificer was allowed. That would be fun.)
(Divination wizard would be up Odin worshipper's ally. Sadly, not smart enough for wizard. If I'd go martial, it'd probably be either Barbarian Zealot or Paladin devotion.. though Samurai fighter could be fun. Druid? Would be an investment, to say the least.

Scratching thoughtfully glancing at the page and back to Gorbal. “Agreed we should survey lightly and wait for the proper time to collect something. We should collect what ever gear we may need and head out soon.”
Gorbal nods solemnly. "I must admit I'm new to the area. Where is best to get such equipment?" he asks still studying the book.
As Maginio The Magic Top Hat finishes Og’s shield scroll and starts on Gell’s Hatse scroll, he walks up to whoever lets him trade tokens for items. He puts down one token he got for killing the worm, and one from Mestine, and points at A Tan Bag. “I’ll take that.” He leaves the tokens, takes the bag, and gets back to work.
Eldin nods and says, "That's good news. When you get the time, have them begin work." He gives her a description of what the house should look like and says, "I'll check back later to see if you have the numbers down. For now, I'm off to work on a few other things. I'll see you later."
Eldin will then head to the library and talk to the librarian there. He will ask her if she has any books on Spelljammers and if she can help him research them.
I want to read up on the "buttons" Grianne mentioned but I doubt just saying, "I want books on buttons that people are made off" will do much other than have people trying to put me in the loony bin.
Eldin, She takes you to the fiction section. But the book doesn't seem like a typical fairy tale. Some of the details are too specific and others to obscure. There's a while section on something called quantum mechanics, but nothing about "buttons". (Roll investigation and Grianne can interpret the result of your roll.)

I'll take that deal. I would also gladly pay 200 additionally for the scrolls if I could get them faster.

Eldin, you find the space you need, on a quiet level piece if land, but you don't manage to convince the assesser to give you a break.
(Toren, Mazara, I think they changed scrolls also to prevent using scrolls to bypass long casting times.)
(I'd say this joke never gets old, but it aged pretty much immediately.)
(Everyone, I really will deal with 'yesterday's' profits... Later... Busy busy.)

Eldin then goes to Adair and asks how much it would cost to have a house built and if the guys who've built the Coliseum would do it.
Eldin, Adair tells you she'll work out the numbers and scheduling when she has a moment, but they'll probably have it done in the morning.
