The next match will feature any interested level-8 competitors. The match will begin in the next 48 hours. Or sooner, if all level contestants gather before then.
(Good fight, even if it were against an NPC. Seems that my tactic backfired. Oh well. Also, I have a question: Is the 3rd tier prize (buying normal gear with the earned gold) open for all contestants, or only the winner?)
(@Firecat: You can always buy normal gear in between matches so long as you have the gold for it. But if its something more exotic like poisons or firearms, then some rolls will be involved to even find a shady seller that might have them in stock.)

(Hello! I am interested in returning to the Coliseum. I had a previous character I am uninterested in playing any further - I saw retirement is on the table, so I figured I'd cough up a fresh character with hopes of having them join the newest match.)
Entering the tavern is a figure draped in maroon cowls. The figure walks with mechanical precision; posture perfect, each step synchronous with a faint ticking apparently hovering around the figure like an aura. Where the garments end at the shoulder shows the true nature of the figure - a Warforged clearly designed for some purpose other than mechanical labor. Chronolo can most succinctly be described as the result of a magical disaster. Sentience is sometimes granted to certain constructs to help aid the creator in tasks, but something went wrong in the process of creating Chronolo; a sliver of rebellion popped up inside the Warforged's metallic brain, corrupted and molded by the magic that bound it. This little sliver of magic yearned for sentience - and as such, utilizing the power granted through the precise manipulation of the flow of time, Chronolo now seeks a venue of testing its newfound powers. The Warforged simply bides his time - for it is all he has.
falqinor was born into a family of yuan ti sorcerers, as the only pureblood and the only non-sorcerer he was shunned. fed up with it all he turned to a greater source of power, the great one promised to help him unlock his sorcerer power as well as granting him a different kind of power. he trained with the blade and magic for years before hunting criminals. after a while the great one called him back and sent him to the colosseum to fight in its name. the great one gave him a rod of the pact keeper to aid him in battle- and as a reminder of his pact.
yuan ti pureblood hexblade warlock 2/ shadow sorcerer 1. with a +1 rod of the pact keeper.
This Mug immediately shared with me a transcendental tale of an Infinite Mug that anchors the Universe and keeps it from folding in on itself. I filed this report under "illogical nonsense" and asked why its sign is in Times New Roman font, when it is basic knowledge that Arial Black is a far superior font. I wondered: How did this mug even get past the assembly line with its theistic beliefs and poor font choices?

To Willow_ivyleaf: I don't think you can have more than 1 characters for the coliseum, as it may lead to a conflict of interest down the road.
I'll ask about it thanks. The idea was that i would keep them at dif levels.

A new person enters the tavern overlooking the battleground, a humanoid figure sits with a hooded cloak obscuring their features. A raven perches on one shoulder, settling from one claw to the other as it surveys the room.
"Can I get an ale please? And is there a place beginners go to register?" The voice that exits the front of the hood is dusky, but defies direct categorization as male or female. After the exchange of coin for a mug the hood is lowered to reveal a mostly human face...although some of the features look slightly elfin, perhaps a long diluted mixing of the bloodlines. The nose a degree too narrow and the ears just shy of too long and ending at the top in a round that is perhaps too sharp and would be called a point.
"Tarset Swiftsong, and this is my companion Tesrat." Pulling a large seed from a pouch at his waist he profers it to the corvus that eyes it for a moment before crushing the gift in its long beak and tilting its head back.
(OOC: Tarset is a Human Bladesinging Wizard with a headband of intellect as his magic item.)
(OOC2: Trying to get back into PbP, and it looks like this is the only forum based game in town right now. Deleted my old Coliseum character a while back...so I built a new one. Been wanting to experiment with bladesinging anyways.)

(Terribly new at this so apologies beforehand...do you post the link of your created character here? and what do you mean about short introduction? is that describing the appearance of your character? sorry again...)
@Rovan: Z'all good, and to clarify a few points, yes, it would be on here. And the short intro is mainly for describing the character's appearance, though most go a step further with background snippets, which can also be helpful when they introduced as part of the opener for their match.
@Bounces: Very belated welcome back! Tarset is all good.
