Kirsolite looks over at him and waves. "Greetings! Come, take a seat." He grabs a nearby, unused chair and places it next to him, gesturing him to sit down. "Just come back from battle? How'd it go?" He seems interested in what happened during the battle, as if he wanted to be there with him.

Nameless, Accursed Undead... Unfit, even to be Cinder... And so it is... That Ash, Seeketh Embers…”
Fenkas's stoic expression breaks as soon as he exits the Coliseum and his fury at himself for his complacency almost leads him to break his broom. He thinks to himself that perhaps if he hadn't been distracted flying around on that useless and slow contraption, that he might have been able to train and win this fight. Holding his emotions in check, he sighs and heads off to Roondra's where he spends a bit of money gambling, and eventually, managing to get lucky, he wins a token! Going back to the Coliseum, he trades the token and the spell scroll he won from his first fight for a cloak of his ancestors that might improve his ability to hide in future fights. After that, he heads to the tavern to get a drink.

“The mark of a successful DM is when you have caused more player deaths with doors than dragons, demons, or devils.”
The next match will feature any interested level-4 competitors in The Echoes of Glory(Extended) Thread. The match will begin in March 15th at 1pm-ish PST. Or sooner, if all level contestants gather before then.
As Fenkas came in, Darius tilted his head, as if hearing a distant sound. "Welp," he said with a grin to everyone else at the table. "I think the next match is starting. I'ms off then."
Without leaving so much as a copper for a tip, the pirate stood and headed out the door, toward the colosseum.
(OOC: Is there any way to change the proficiencies that I got from my background? Could it be a payment like changing subclass? Or am I locked in...?)
OOC: I am also interested in this question.
(OOC: Alright, so here's the skinny on that. If its a tool or language prof. then no. Though, you can learn new ones via the book rewards in the arena or train for them(Still need to double check rules regarding that). For switch skill prof. however, and this... will be extended to those picked up in background as well, you'd either have start over fresh or can only change it whenever you would get an ASI bump in a class. As far as learning new skills, that can only be done via Feats or Multi-class into class that offer that benefit)

(OOC - It's specifically tool proficiency or language in the PHB, and with time being somewhat nebulous in the arena, as you always start off fresh for a match (barring the one special event months ago), that makes things a wee bit tricky. Even the truncated time from Xanathar's wouldn't quite work. So, something else would have to be worked out, so that wedon't have to fall back on keep track of rl days to the extreme just to make it "easier" to keep overall track.)
(So, for those interested in actually learning new tool/language prof... a work around would have to be considered. If Bdaddly doesn't have an interjection atm, I'll keep you guys posted on the set-up once that gets fully worked out.)

Fenkas nods appreciatively. The dwarf had truly mastered the art of fighting and although Fenkas didn't feel that his fighting was particularly graceful, it was brutally effective. Responding to Forge he says, "That icy armor trick of yours is very effective. I'll have to think of a different strategy if we do fight again." Fenkas sips his drink and glances around the tavern absentmindedly.
