As the second creature falls to the ground, somewhere out of sight to the west you here the crashing of breaking branches receding away.
Klaus approaches the downed Bart and calls on Torm mercy before touching hands (10)to Bart. An intense blue glow briefly surrounds Bart before he stirs and sits up.
Klaus looks at the party, "Bugbears! This close to the Keep."
Keun is panting heavily and dripping with sweat. Still on edge he is looking around at the trees and surroundings as he moves closer to Kluas and Bart. He makes an exhalating sound of relief as he finally lowers his sword and says, "Bugbears, huh? Those things were strong!" He looks around at the others as he wipes sweat from his brow, and then looks back down towards Bart, "How are you feeling Bart? Are you alright?"
Klaus, "Aye, related to Goblins and Hobgoblins, but much bigger and meaner. And their hide is itself a most effective armor."
Bart, "Fine, now. I know it was foolish to loose two spells against the first, but I feared what it might do to us. Considering there were two, I think Torim was watching out for us."
Keun smiles and says, "Foolish? I thought it was great! I'm not sure we would have made it were it not for you two." He looks between them solemnly, "Thank you, again." He turns to everyone else and asks, "How are we looking? Everybody else okay?"
" Someone was watching us while we fought with the Bugbear." Dorcas points at the woods. " There, I saw movement. If we hurry, we might be able to find their trail! "
(If Dverin uses nature skill to track the mysterious observer, Dorcas will give him help action and advantage.)
Heading westward slowly and looking for signs, you find what you are looking for another 100 yards up the trail. Creatures, its hard tell how many, where camped here where they could easily watch the Keep through the brush. Small animal bones and pieces of fur litter the area and a deep fire pit has been dug for some rudimentary cooking. You can see a trail of newly broken branches leading away to the north. Judging by the height of the broken branches, whatever made them was at most 4 feet in height.
Dorcas is horrified to look at the army of savages. " We're gonna leave here. We have to warn the keep! They're not ready!" He whispers in a shaky voice. Waste no time, Dorcas casts Guidanceto himself and prepares to run back the keep with others.
The "outpost"is an irregular shaped area approximately 10 ft in diameter.

You notice a 6 piles of matted down pine needles and crushed leaves. Two on the south side a little over 6 ft in length and 4 on the north which are a little under 4 ft in length.
The scraps of fur seem to be in varying stages of decay, and there is a deffinate smell of general rot in the air.
Keun points out the pine needles and crushed leaves, "Do you think those are beds?" He looks over at Dorcas, causing him to lose a bit of his nerve, looking around to the others, "Should we go? If this is a lookout camp of some sort, we might have slain the large one already and it might be bad if they were running off for reinforcements."
Dorcas strokes his beard and says. " Though they look quite uncomfortable… If they were beds, there would be two creatures of 6ft and four creatures of 4ft have slept here. " The dwarf cleric closes his eyes and calculates risk and return. The big ones could be Bugbears, the small ones probably are goblins. ( We have five peopleincluding three clerics. If Keun is right, there is a good chance we will triumph over green skins. Buy if he is wrong… ) A drop of sweatruns down Dorcas's cheek. He turns to others and asks." What do you guys think? Should we retreat or fight?"
Seeing the indecision around, Keun puffs up his chest and says, "This is why we came out here, lets see if there is anything of use in this camp and then lets try to track them down." He goes to look at the campsite again more thoroughly this time.
Dverin chews on a dirty fingernail and glances to the followers of Helm, nodding as if to say, 'so'?
Bart looks at Klaus before he answers, "That the Keep is being watched, I think is not a surprise. But that Bugbears, and not simple Goblins are, will be news. Even so, Bugbears are neither known for intelligence or wisdom, and the setting up of such a post strikes me as against their nature. Yet, I do not see that following the Goblins will jeopardize the Keep. Nor will not immediately informing the Keep of this development. The Guards of the Keep are all heavily armored and trained for combat in the Keep or from horseback, and so the Castellan will be reluctant to send them into theses woods."
