Oriki casually takes one of the bottles of red wine from the cellarette and puts it in his bag, before sauntering over to the coffin and having a look.
Sheridan tries to sort through his jumbled memories of history, religion and the arcane arts to piece together what they're likely to be up against and how to best deal with it.
Trawling through his mind palace of esoteric lore Sheridan surmises that they are dealing with low level vampiric creatures. High enough to be more than slaves to their infernal thirsts but no vampire lords who are bound to the earth of their domain. Mind drinkers or spawn would be your assumption
I don’t like the idea of what may have came out of these, prob best not to leave them with that, Draskan begins swinging his maul and the wooden coffins
The maul strikes the coffins and the fire chars the timber to ash within a few swings. Now the undead have nowhere to run if you encounter them on the remaining unexplored floor below you
You slink back down the stairs and rejoin Argetlam on the floor below. There are two doors leading off of the chamber you find yourself in. One ahead of you and one to the left
The door creaks open and you see a dimly lit room. A pale looking bald male stands in front of a bubbling set of alchemical tools wearing a white coverall over his normal well tailored clothing
For some reason Sheridan you trust this man, he has a kind demeanour and you find yourself wanting to tell him everything he asks, you’d even leap to his defence if he was attacked
The coffin lid opens on well greased hinges and nothing else happens.
Oriki casually takes one of the bottles of red wine from the cellarette and puts it in his bag, before sauntering over to the coffin and having a look.
As Oriki swipes the bottle he notices that its a bit viscous for wine….. peering inside the coffin he finds it unoccupied

Suspicious about the bottle and wondering if it may be blood, Oriki opens it, empties some on to the floor and peers at it
It is most definitely blood
This floor appears to be unoccupied on further inspection
Oriki wrinkles his nose in disgust before tossing the bottle, which smashes on the floor as he turns towards the party.
This place looks deserted. Let's go upstairs?
Sheridan grabs a few of the tomes on spirit containment for later reading and then opens the other three coffins to see if they are occupied
The other coffins are all unoccupied at this time, which isn’t too much of a surprise it now being after sun down

Oriki looks on impassively before cocking his head towards the stairs. As he approaches them, he quiets down, hoping to remain unheard and unseen
Sheridan follows suit
You slink back down the stairs and rejoin Argetlam on the floor below. There are two doors leading off of the chamber you find yourself in. One ahead of you and one to the left
Sheridan will try the door on the left
The door creaks open and you see a dimly lit room. A pale looking bald male stands in front of a bubbling set of alchemical tools wearing a white coverall over his normal well tailored clothing
He turns at the door opening and looks at Sheridan. You must be our unexpected guest. Care to explain yourself?
As he speaks a gentle red glow appears in his eyes that is quite distracting. Sheridan must make a DC 14 Wis save or be Charmed by the humanoid
For some reason Sheridan you trust this man, he has a kind demeanour and you find yourself wanting to tell him everything he asks, you’d even leap to his defence if he was attacked
Hello kind sir. We're here to explore and see what we can find in relation to the bound soul of Irik Zal'Honan.
