The right guard attacks Petra, but finds it difficult to do so due to Randall's reaction, carefully using his shield to protect Petra

Ankita, seeing that Qarbo is being held, runs at the man, attempts to jump over the steps and then changes into a wolf.

Using that last 10' of extra movement due to the wolf, she lunges at Qarbo, teeth bared..

Olaerys takes the hit from the left guard and pulls out his battle axe, swings back at him, trying to push him back with the ferocity of his attack.

You gracefully leap over the stairs and land opposite Qarbo who is still pinned under Sandre. ( Can't tell if you used advantage, but Qarbo is grappled and prone so you have it)

Olaerys thrust is easily dodged by the guard 

Randall clutches his spear and hurls it at one of the armored guards, using a bonus action Quick Toss.  Attack: 21 Damage: 8.  On a hit, he adds a superiority dice to the damage: 7

He then draws his short sword and advances on Qarbo, grapped by the knight.  "You have brought this ruin upon your own house!" he howls.  Attack: 20 Damage: 9

He continues to hold his reaction to provide Protection for his his closest ally.

Seeing that Qarbo is controlled, Melchor casts Toll the Dead on the guard facing Olaerys: 3

Save: 12

Sandre tries to drag Qarbo over to the back edge of the stairway recess but the priest refuses to be dragged (reaction, unyielding). "Explain! What foul lie do you accuse the Knights of Samular of?" 

Petra continues her efforts on the guard in front of her:

Randall's vengeful strikes land home, doing heavy damage to both the guard and Qarbo, who let's out a scream as he realizes how this has all gone wrong. As Randall tries to pass the guard, it manages to get a strike off at him:

Petras attacks look labored, and are ineffective.

You hear the sound of metal scraping on metal coming from the stairs, and am angry, gut wrenching screech.

Shrek quickly moves to cover the remaining distance between himself and the lever on the wall, and spends his action quickly lifting (or pushing down?) the lever in the opposite direction from which Olaery's flipped it, hopefully preventing Qarbo's pet from paying us a visit.

As Shrek pulls the lever back, several things happen. Everything seems to pause as if the whole battle has into slow motion. The guard facing Shrek has his eyes go wide and Qarbo's face goes pale as he watches, then he laughs a dark ironic laugh. "Well done, you've killed us all"

There is the sound of mechanical gears. You hear 2 loud kthunks; One muted, sounding like metal slamming down into the floor downstairs. The other is much closer, as the stairs revert from their 'slide' position, snapping back into place as stairs again.

You also hear another, almost triumphant screech from downstairs.

Qarbo tries again to free himself from Sandres grasp, this time with adrenaline fuelled urgency (advantage).

He uses a bonus action to cast expeditious retreat, and bolts for the eastern door, taking attacks of opportunity from both Randall, Ankita, and Sandre.

The guard facing Olaerys does not see the this, and resolutely keeps fighting.

The guard facing Petra, however, does see this, and disengages from Petra to dash for the door as well, also taking an attack of opportunity.

Attack: 23 Damage: 8

(Sandre AoO on Qarbo: Attack: 8 Damage: 11)

 Petra lands a glancing blow on the guard and Sandre manages to wound Qarbo decently as he the priest tries to free.

Qarbo: 15 hp damage

Guard by Olaerys: 0 Damage

Guard by door: 23 Damage

Each square is 10 feet. Qarbo/guard are by the eastern door. Randall, Sandre and Ankita are by the alter. Melchor is between the bottom two pillars. Shrek is by the lever in the NW, Olareys 10 feet in front with the other guard.

Bartjeebus, I'm going to retract that AoO that hit Randall. You could get to Qarbo previously without it.
