Kneeling by the base of the stairs, Olaerys looks at the bridge and the statues across the chasm, and everything in between. He reaches out with his Divine Sense to identify anything lurking for them as they plan to attempt to cross, reaching out 60 feet with his sense. He readies his shield, to hide behind if anything attempts to turn them to stone or to dodge any incoming effects. "Shall we? Do we feel that any other members of the delegation would be over this way? I guess we need to go have a look...."

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
Ankita looks at Shrek when he mentions a ranged attack. "Well, I can throw fire at them.. shall I?" She looks to everyone to see if now is when they want to start a fight with these things.
Looking around to make sure everyone is ready to attack or run (the latter in his case...), Shrek nods to Ankita. The nano second she casts her spell, Shrek will dash across the bridge to the other side.
Randall remains on this side of the bridge, guarding those yet to cross. He readies an attack with his spear should any gargoyle swoop down into range.

Olaerys casts protection from evil and good on himself and runs across to be near Shrek, readying his battle axe to strike at any foe that swings at him, putting their attacks at disadvantage.
[Is Randall within 5' of Ankita on the near side of the bridge? He was only going to take a readied attack if the gargoyle flew within melee range.]

Last to know and first to be blamed...
As a free action, can I regret my life choices?
Glimmer is unable to perceive anything new.
Randall's Divine Sense detects nothing. The gargoyles are facing you, but motionless.
For later:
Initiative:
Gargoyles: 4
Melchor: 23
Shrek: 4
Olaerys: 7
Randall: 17
Ankita: 4
(Should I assume Ankita casts, and Shrek runs?)
(Sorry! weekends are more difficult)
Ankita winks at Shrek and produce flame hurls the ball of flame towards the closest gargoyle.
Attack: 21 Damage: 4
....and Shrek runs like an Olympic sprinter.

Initiative:
Shrek and Ankita get surprise rounds
Gargoyles: 12
Melchor: 14
Shrek: 5
Olaerys: 13
Randall: 13
Ankita: 17
Ankita's flame misses the gargoyle as Shrek hustles across safely to the other side of the bridge
Melchor makes a familiar grasping in the direction of the gargoyles... 'Frigis...' he mutters
(Melchor casts Chill Touch: Attack: 23 Damage: 6)
Ankita curses under her breath and tries again...
Attack: 15 Damage: 3
Shrek beckons the rest of the team to run across and join him in the protective alcove/tunnel on the other side.

Melchor's spell hits the closests gargoyle. 1 gargoyle flies to Shrek, and 1 to Olaerys, trying to shove them off the bridge:
Shrek: 12 (da since Shrek is right at the far edge, thus harder to knock off)
Olaerys: 16 (da dye to protection spell).
The third flies to Ankita and bites and claws at her.
Attack: 24 Damage: 4
Attack: 11 Damage: 7
@Randall take your pick of who to throw at
(And the back to Shrek and Ankita)

Ah, my bad, I assumed you were throwing. Let's say yes you are :)
Olaerys contests the shove. (Is there a map to see the layout and tactical situation?)
