Panga stiffens in place and then she moves against the wall she is nearest to and looks at whoever is closest behind. She points to the ground ahead while whispering back, "A corpse ahead, this does not bode well."
Randall digs through his pack for a torch, lights it, and moves forward to join Panga inside the cave mouth. He stows his spear and carries the torch in his right hand and the shield still on his left arm.
"A corpse? Let me see." Stealth is not on his mind, as word of a corpse fills him with concern that overrides caution. He tries to illuminate the area around the corpse to see if it is anyone he recognizes.

The area around the corpse has a strange appearance about it, like it has moved far more recently than the decaying suggests. You also see a sign in the wall:

Investigation : 10
Olaerys notices, a touch too late, that the corpse is dead, but not dead. As he goes to touch it, the corpse pops up right and swings at him. Sometimes a corpse is a corpse. Other times, it's a zombie. (Due to the nature of the attack, the zombie goes first and I'm giving it advantage. Not bothering with initiative; you can all act after this)
Seeing the undead body rise up and attack Olaerys, Randall rushes forward. "An undead horror!" He will not waste time drawing his spear. Rather, he will attempt to beat on the creature with his lit torch... mostly because he has never encounter such a monster before and is in a bit of a panic.
(Attempting to use the torch as an improvised weapon, using strength as the modifier but no proficiency bonus, and assuming 1d4 for the damage on a successful hit.) Attack: 16 Damage: 1
Also, if the zombie attempts to attack anyone within 5 feet of Randall, he will use his shield and his reaction, per his Protection fighting style, to impose disadvantage on that attack.
