Elwyn decides to follow Ariana, assisting her with searching for hidden passages. (Help action given, roll again if you want) "So what did you mean by me getting along with your new halfling friends Ariana, are they just as charming or what?" He says with a smirk.
All - The halfling twins introduce themselves to all with a bit of trepidation, looking to everyone with large brown eyes. They re-tell the tale of their capture as they watch Gorik and Ariana stuff the elven man into a cage.
The female halfling says, "I'm Flotsam." and the male says, "And I'm Jetsam." Flotsam then says, "You can call me Flo." Jetsam adds, "And you can call me-" Flo interrupts, "A royal pain in the arse." Jet whines, "Hey!" Flo continues with a roll of her eyes, "We were working aboard a fishing ship when we ran afoul of bad weather." Jet says, "Storm came outta nowhere! All blowin' and wavin' and shootin' lightnin' everywhere." Flo says, "Our ship capsized and we managed to stay afloat on some wreckage 'til another ship found us." Jet adds, "Only it weren't no coast guard or navy, it was slavers!" Flo angrily interjects, "Are you gonna let me tell it Jet?" Jet whines again, "What? She asked the both of us!" Jet withers under Flo's stern glare and with a sigh he says, "Fine. Tell it." Flo replies, "We've been locked in this cave ever since." A few seconds of silence pass and Jet, still looking at his sister, realizes that was all she had left to say. He mutters a curse and says, "Anyway, who are you miss? Are you really here to help?"
The elven man blusters as he is shoved into the cage and looks at you all with venom in his eyes. After a search of the area it appears the only passage left unexplored is the one that leads south.
Ariana - There doesn't appear to be any hidden passages.
Ariana's smile meant "I think you know I meant that they are talkative, like you, and that I'm not really very talkative, so the three of you will get along fine, and maybe I don't need to listen to as much talking, etc, in a good-natured ribbing sort of way."
“Let’s head back to the storage room with Sanbalet. I want to make sure he is secured, and a gag in his mouth. A wizard can weave magic sometimes with words alone. And then someone, whoever is sneakiest among us, should look quietly in that southern passage. Agreed?” Kulogall motions for everyone to follow back to the storage room.
Ariana will trail behind the others, looking back at the elf in the cage.
What do you think, Wesley? Should I? she thinks, fingering one of the mushrooms in her pocket.
Ariana looks to Wesley for an answer. 1-10 no, 11-20 yes: 15
Though, even if Wesley "says" "yes," she hears Kulogall as he leads the way back to Sanbalet, and decides not to. Best not to mess things up with her friends.
Ariana follows the others, petting Wesley and feeding him some crumbs from her pocket.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Gorik examines his surroundings, "Elwyn, Wake, Ariana, Kulogall... You're a chatty bunch. It seems you've all done well for yourselves while navigating this cave. I cannot say the same for me'self. I think I'm still battling within the effects of whatever helped these scoundrels place me in the cage for I sure would not go willingly. Until I can find a suitable weapon and perhaps a ration and flagon of mead, I'll see to it you have my claws at your side. At least until we are free of this cave."
Gorik stretches a bit while waiting for this peculiar crew make their move. The cages have worn both his body and mind, struggling with the lapse in memory and rarely known weakness set-in to his soul. Slightly distracted, Gorik attempts to think back at any recollections that would help him understand what is going on.
History check to recall any past dispute or event within his kingdom that would explain his predicament. 5
"Well, surely we should have a weapon for you Gorik, any preferences?" Elwyn asks the dragonborn. "I think you can have a longsword from one of them Hobgoblins we just took care of, they won't mind." He adds with a smirk.
Ariana - Most of the spit dribbles out onto his chin and chest, but you're able to side-step what little manages to fly past the bars of the cage.
Gorik - Hunger, thirst, and exhaustion are foremost in your mind, demanding your attention with a ferocity that knocks anything else aside.
All - Back in the storage cave, you find Daveth and Ruby keeping watch over the two scouts and Sanbalet. Gorik is able to find a pair of longswords and shields between the two dead hobgoblins, should he or anyone else wish to grab them. The storm still echoes down the southern passage, sending a chill wind that threatens to snuff out the torches set in the walls. Flo and Jet tend to keep close to Ariana, but upon seeing Ruby they both seem drawn to her. Flo smiles at Ruby while she plays with her braid and Jet begins peppering her with questions, "Are you a hero too? How many dragons have you slain? Why is your sword so big? Can I touch it?"
Kulogall takes out 3 rations, one each for Gorik, Flo, and Jet. He also takes out his water skin, opens it and uses shape water to have it flow into their mouths like a water fountain, taking a small sip himself. “You need refreshment, eat up and drink. Gorik take what you need from these guys.”

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
Ruby will greet both of them with a smile, happy they could save someone. "It would be nice to be a hero someday. But no, I haven't even seen any dragons." She says and then notices the dragonborn walking in after them. "I have a feeling that might change soon though."
She continues chitchating with the two halflings, showing them her sword but keeping an eye and warning them that it's very sharp.
With their consent, Wake will look over the condition of everyone (friendlies first). He has no magical healing available but does have the Healer’s Kit, should it be useful. Aside from a compassionate word, he has little to offer.
(@DM, let me know if or how many uses of the Healer’s Kit should be deducted)
”We could press on but some of us are in shaky condition.” He volunteers to the group.

”I love deadlines. I like the whooshing sound they make as they fly by.” - Douglas Adams
Kulogall - The halflings accept the offered rations and set about gobbling them down, smiling at one another as they do so.
Ruby - Between mouthfuls of food, the halflings chat with you, Jet says "But you are a hero!" and Flo adds, "Yeah, you helped saved us. That's pretty heroic."
Wake - Aside from cleaning and bandaging wounds, there isn't much more you can do. The wounds will heal in time.
Gorik grabs a longsword, checks the balance of the weapon. "This will do. At least for now. I'm gonna pass on the shield. It'll just slow me down. Thank you for the offering, Kulogall. I am in your debt. Upon my return home, my coin will surely compensate your generosity."
Gorik eats silently, uncertain of the crowd his luck placed upon him. You, pointing to everyone referring to the being as Ruby. "You, they refer to you as Ruby? Then there's Flo and Jet."Changing his pointing to match the names he's attaching to the people around. "What brings you all around this place? Are you all adventurers?"

To Kulogall, if she heard him, Ariana says, "There are only cages back here. No exits that I've found."
Though she does start looking for a potentially hidden passage in the southeast chamber.

Ariana only smiles back to Elwyn.
Elwyn tries to figure out what kind of smile he got.
