All - The bandits slip back into the woods and after a few minutes you're fairly certain they're gone. The magical breeze carries Kulogall's warning after them, setting fallen leaves spinning across the ground. Isadore lowers his crossbow and says, "Damned arseholes..." He turns to the mutilated mule, "Ah, Rosey... Rest in peace girl." A groan from Daveth draws his attention and he walks over to the young man. "Can ye stand stand lad?" Daveth props himself up on one arm and says, "Ugh... I think so." He lifts the ill-fitting shirt he's wearing and asks, "How bad is it?" Anyone that takes a look will see that there's a large dark bruise already forming, with superficial tearing of the skin from the kick. Isadore helps Daveth to his feet and turns to the rest of you, "Anyone else hurt? We've gotta get about half these supplies loaded onto the other two wagons. For now, we'll reserve the second wagon seating for any of ye that's wounded. We'll have to walk so the other mules aren't over-worked." and he begins unstrapping the supplies in the second wagon.
We will use this time to role-play conversations/actions while distributing the supplies. I will move the narrative forward after a bit.

Wake will sling his shield on his back and look Daveth’s wound to determine if he needs to cast Healing Word or if a night’s rest is the best medicine. As before, he’ll call for Guidance before his prognosis.

”Boy, that’s a real shiner you got there. Maybe Elwyn can pen another stanza to your hero’s tale. Right after your encounter with the sea nymphs, he can wax about your altercation with the Minotaur.”
Inspired by Daveths latest adventure Elwyn grabs his lute and entertains the others while stuff is reloaded.
"There once was a young man from Amphail who waylaid by crooks was on his trail our hero so brave a mule tried to save but his reward made him whimper and wail."
Ariana wordlessly helps transfer supplies and will walk along the front wagon, eyes focused on the woods and quarterstaff drawn, when the caravan once again begins moving.
Wake notices how the bruise is swelling nicely and changing its color in various places to resemble a storm on a sea. There’s a horseshoe pattern that is a sickly greenish tint surrounded by a dull reddish hue that fades to deep blue followed by purple and then grey.
”I don’t think it will scar but you’ll likely have a welt in the shape of a horseshoe that will linger like a brand for some time. Plenty of time to impress the ladies as you woo them with your tales of battle. Let’s get you settled in the wagon. You should stay off your feet until tomorrow.”
Wake will help him get situated in the wagon and offer him some water and food.
”Did anyone else suffer injury?” Wake will call out to the others.
"Not me." Ruby answears Wake while helping Ariana and the rest with the supplies. "Do you think they´ll come after us again?"She asks Ariana, as she notices her gazing at the forest every now and then.
Kulogall stands and stares at the woods. “Not likely. I think we surprised them with our abilities and by killing their pet. Poor creature. I would like to take the whip from that fellow and use it on him for a while. A long while.” His face is stern, his jaw is set.
”Daveth those were the same ones who took your clothes and equipment, right? I don’t know if you could see them after you got knocked to the ground, but they fit your description certainly.” Kulogall keeps staring at the woods, a grim look remains on his face. He walks over to the owlbear’s body and looks at the chain, looks to see if it is just a simple chain and lock or if there is any marker or symbol there.

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
As you stare into the dimly lit woods, you're fairly sure there aren't any further threats in the area.
Kulogall - Daveth nods and says, "I saw the big half-orc woman. She was wearing my armor..." The chain and collar are rusted iron. Nothing elegant about their construction. The lock is a standard padlock that's just as rusty as the rest. There doesn't appear to be any kind of markings on either the collar, chain, or lock. You notice that the area beneath the collar is raw and devoid of feathers. It appears the owlbear has been captive for a while.
All - The supplies are redistributed amongst the wagons and the caravan sets forth once again. Isadore carries his crossbow in hand as he walks beside the first wagon. Daveth lays across the bench seat of the second wagon, wincing as the wagon jolts over rocks and pot holes. The rest of the day is uneventful and you begin setting up camp. It's late in the day and the sun is beginning to dip below the trees. A voice calls out, "Hail travelers! Would anyone care to purchase some magical mushrooms? I also have magical items as well." You all see an Elven man in purple robes standing roughly 20 yards from your camp. He's carrying a large backpack and a walking stick.
Elwyn bows to Wake at his compliment, but then he turns his attention to the forest. "No I sincerely doubt they will try anything before getting themselves a new pet. There are plenty of other dangers along this part of the road though. Ahead of us lies the Mere of Dead men, and according to legend the death of Myrkul during the time of troubles tainted the swamp making the dead restless." Elwyn tells the others ominously, staring over at Daveth, trying to give him a light scare.

"That would rather depend on what magic they are carrying good Sir." Elwyn says and walks over to the newcomer, a little wary of another ambush, but also very curious of what the peddler peddles. Perception to spot threats: 21
Elwyn - Daveth is slowly and gingerly setting out a bedroom that Isadore lent him as he listens to your tale. He snorts dismissively as he lowers himself onto the bedroll, "Let the dead come, I stared down an owlbear empty handed. Let those bandits come too for that matter. They won't-Aggghhh!" Daveth startles and yelps at the sudden greeting from the elven man. The elven man smiles and says, "You'll be impressed I think." He sets down his pack and begins rifling through it. He draws a pouch that appears stained purple in spots, a wand, and a stone from the pack and stands, "Have a look." He says as he presents the items to you.
Keeping an eye on your surroundings as the man digs in his pack, you're confident there are no threats in the vicinity at this time.
When Ariana hears the peddler, she remains half turned away and looks sullen. She pulls Wesley, her pet mouse, out of her pocket, petting and playing with him.
She's pretending not to care at all about the peddler, but also can't hide her curiosity in what's available or if any of her companions will be buying anything.
Kulogall walks over to the peddler, has a look through his wares. “What brings you out this way? Have you had safe travels? Run into any bandits along the way?”

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
All - Those that take a look at the man's wares will find a pouch full of dried purple mushrooms, a wand, and a shiny grey stone with cracks that periodically glow a faint blue. The man says, "The mushrooms grant a random minor magical effect for a short time when ingested. Will you gain the ability to fly or breathe a torrent of flame? Only one silver each! The wand is a Wand of Magic Missiles. Perfect for self defense and a steal at only twenty gold pieces! The stone is an item of my own creation, one of which I am very proud! It is a Teleportation Stone. Like any magical item you must attune to it, but once attuned the stone will sense when you are in danger. Should you find yourself under attack, it will teleport you to a safe location within 30ft of your current location. I'm having a special on this item right now, you can own it for thirty gold pieces or own both the wand and stone for forty gold pieces. Go ahead, pick them up, get a feel for them, I insist!"
Kulogall - The elven man says, "I'm on my way to Waterdeep to pick up supplies for my work. I've seen a few other travelers along this path, no bandits as far as I know, though I did meet more than one happy customer." He says with a wink.
“Very interesting.” Says Wake. “Does the stone decide when and where to teleport or does the one attuned to it decide? How often can it be used?”
Wake eyes the wand as well, but snubs the mushrooms since he is not keen on ingesting something without a predictable outcome.
He will volunteer to the group, “I am willing to pool my gold with others if it is decided to invest in some or all of these items. Strengthening one or more of us will surely strengthen us all.”
Wake - The elven man replies, "The distance and location are random, but the stone will not teleport the wielder into harm nor if they do not wish to be teleported. The stone contains three charges that can be refilled by not using the stone for a period of time. Your friend mentioned trouble and bandits, I don't mean to presume sir, but it sounds like you all simply cannot afford to go without items such as these. I am willing to be flexible on the price, you seem like decent folk in these indecent times!"

Ruby will also come to check out what the elven man has to offer, she´s especialy interested in the muschrooms looking at them with big child-like eyes, but is not sure if she trusts the man yet. "So you said the mushrooms give you some kind of abbility? For how long? And are there any risks or side effects?"

Kulogall says "I am interested in the stone that you have there. Can I try it? I like to fight from a distance, so if there is someone in my face it would be good to be able to teleport, certainly." Kulogall reaches out and takes the stone, attempts to use it. Then he remembers what the man said about attunement. "Would you mind if I rest here a bit, attune to this stone and then try it out? Would you stay with us for an hour or so? We could eat together and share stories if you wish. Ariana, you may be interested in the wand of magic missiles. That might certainly be useful in combat." He turns back to the man, and says "You said you could be flexible in price. How low could you go for both the stone and the wand?"
After noting what it does, he says to Wake "I would also be willing to pool resources for us to make purchases, if that is what everyone wants to do. Hopefully there will be some reward(he looks over to Isadore) at the end of the road when we finish traveling with these goods to their destination in Saltmarsh."
If the traveling salesman agrees, Kulogall will take a short rest holding the stone, hoping to attune to it and then test it.
