Wake - The only thing of note in the room is a clump of tiny red mushrooms growing around a fireplace in a semicircular formation. Otherwise, the room is bare.
Wake is very leery about approaching the mushrooms, spores and all. There were a few different mushrooms he would gather for his mother back home and she did have a book or two that he read containing descriptions of varieties with illustrations. He will try and identify the species from a distance.
Offering a quick prayer for guidance, he will search his memory.
Ariana returns to the hall, keeping a line of sight on the trapdoor. She whispers loudly toward the others, "Kulogall! Is everything okay with you all?"
After she hears confirmation that nothing needs immediate attention, she replies, "Come here and help me with something."
If Kulogall assents, she asks him to help her move one of the bookshelves over the trapdoor so that, when the group goes down the stairs, the miscreants can't escape as easily through the trapdoor.
These mushrooms are very familiar to you. As soon as you see them, your hear your mother singing a nursery rhyme. Most of the lyrics are lost to you, but you doubt you'll ever forget the melody. The mushrooms are called Blushcaps. They are edible and harmless. Blushcaps are the subject of the nursery rhyme your mother would sing whenever you brought them home.
Ariana - Daveth offers to help as well and all the better because the bookshelf is constructed of heavy, solid wood. Between the three of you, you're able to move the hefty bookshelf over the trapdoor. The effort leaves the three of you red faced and gasping for a few minutes, but you're confident nothing will be exiting the trapdoor as long as the bookshelf is in place.
Wake will cautiously approach the blushcaps in hopes of harvesting them. He seems to remember that each one will sell for a tidy sum. He is concerned about the shape of the semi-circle they are growing in. Is there something in the fireplace that is farming these? But who has ever heard of a half a faerie ring?
He will be ready to retreat at the first sign of trouble.
Wake - You're able to harvest six blushcaps (2gp each). While picking them, you notice the fireplace in this room is also full of spiderwebs. You spy a plum-sized spider near the top left corner. It seems to be watching you. You finish gathering the fungi and quickly exit the room with a shudder.
Kulogall says "Ok, are we ready to head downstairs? Also did we cover everything on the second floor? I have a strange feeling.... Let's follow those foot prints and see who is making them." He follows Ariana's lead, moves back to the others to proceed after the bookcase is in place.

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
"Your strange feeling... is it about your brother, about this place in general, or about the attic?" Ariana asks Kulogall as they walk back to the others.
Kulogall scratches his head. "This place. It seems like.. its from a dream. I don't know, I can't explain it. I don't know about the attic. I have the feeling that there is much more going on here than meets the eye. But we will get to the bottom of it, right?" Kulogall looks over at Ariana and awkwardly gives her a fist bump.

Ruby, seeing nothing that catches her eye in the room, will go back to the others. "So, that leaves only the cellar right? Want me to lead the way down?"
Wake will go to the last unopened door at this level and open it cautiously.

"Okay Ruby, just be careful." Elwyn says from the back, ready with his wand for skeletons and what lies beyond.
