"That might just be correct Og. I think that there is some kind of magic sealing the door shut by arcane means. Should i take a closer look now, or do you guys want to rest first?"

Og says, "Perhaps a short rest will do our minds some good. We can think about how to open this statue up at the same time."
Og goes to sit down and holds out the bag from the ashes then says, "This bag also seems to have some kind of magical property. It looks like furry balls are inside it. Celus or perhaps Silas, if you have arcane knowledge, can one of you see if you're able to learn more about it? When there is a free moment, of course."
"I can have a look at it, sure. If we are going to take a break anyway" Celus takes the bag and examines it (During the short rest we are about to take?)

You donβt find any traps on the statue. However, you do see a brick that seems to be pushed out just the slightest bit more than the others.
Looking around you donβt see any enemies about but you donβt see any good natural place to rest at either. If you were to rest here it would be out the open.
Celus:
You donβt get any religious or historic significance off the statue but, the individual in the statue is carrying a book that looks eerily similar to your own Book of Shadows. Also, you ge that the bag is magical but you really canβt tell more than that.
"I think short rest will be enough for now guys," Honor explains with a frown looking around. "There's a loose brick here but I think we should leave it until we're rested up," she explains taking her waterskin out and drinking then removing a ration she starts eating settling on the ground to rest.

After resting a bit, Og will go up to the statue to see what Griff's up to and hands him a gold piece, "You won that roundβa clever idea with that arrow and rope."
As he's standing around by the statue, he will examine it, satisfied there are no traps.
Honor points to the spot she told the party about before as well as Og no who's looking dead at it. "I say we rest before fiddling with that," she explains.
OOC: Uh did we rest? I mean I know we all healed up but are you ready for us now in real time to begin again?

Og nods in thanks and says to Honor, "We'll rest for a short bit anyway, not to worry."

β I wonder if I could use thaumatergy and try to budge the door? This maybe that would reveal any traps?β

Og you also notice the brick.
"Hmm...I wonder if the door opens this way" Og will manipulate the brick to see if it can be pushed like a button. If so, he pushes it.
