Effulgyn chuckles. “I was raised on a farm,” (OOC is proficient at Survival), “and fourteen days out of doors, as far as I’m concerned, will be a nice trek and nothing more. Make good clothing choices, especially your footwear, friends. As you said, ID, we’ll be fine. We’ll just want to keep our spells to ourselves in Beres.”
OOC--Are we transporting the vials of Ice Crystals as well? Is that the moldy substance we are looking for? Wasn't 100% clear on that.
Sorry if this wasn't clear--you are to use the vials to collect samples once you locate the stuff. The crystal-infused material is quite robust and will be able to properly and safely store any magical entity but since no one has ever seen this particular stuff, ID is basically warning you to be careful in transporting it back (and warning against tampering with the vials in the meantime).

Ferg looks with a sigh at his silk shirt. After thinking for a minute he says "Reviewing in my mind my current stock of supplies, I will need to buy a few more days worth of rations. Also I will need to purchase a more robust outfit for our journey." He flicks some lint off of his silk shirt sleeve and sits down.

OOG--Sorry if this hasn't been clear, GR Mustang--your mission is to collect the mold that is supposedly growing in near Kindermarsh. The vials are currently empty and are being offered as vessels for collecting samples of the mold.

Ferg steps forward and takes the vials. "I don't mind handling a little chaos." He stows them in his pouch and turns to the others "I need to purchase a few things in the market. Then I will be ready for the journey." He turns to ID and M.o.M. "Are we to start today?"
Sorry, wasn't specific. In Kindermarsh is there a particular area that this mold grows in? For example, near Oak trees, in brine like areas, under the roots of a 100 year old Willow, under a rotting orc body. :-)
Grishkar Darkmoor, Necromancer of Nerull the Despiser Kelvin Rabbitfoot, Diviner, con artist, always hunting for a good sale Bründir Halfshield, Valor Bard, three-time Sheercleft Drinking Competition Champion, Hometown hero
"You are correct Effulgyn," ID says. "I would love nothing more than to direct you to the exact location of the mold, but for all of the knowledge I possess, and all of the things my eyes can See, I'm afraid this eludes me. Also," he says, sighing a little. "It would appear, based on what little information we have, that it is growing--I suspect by the time you get there its location might have changed."
He turns to Ferg and says to him (but also to the group): "I will give you each 10 gold pieces per day, for 14 days, and 100 gold pieces each upon completion of this journey. Leave as soon as you can. Tell no one of your trip."
M.o.M interjects. "When he says tell no one of your trip, he means, tell no one of your trip--remember:
Stealth before Shelter
Stealth before Sleep
Stealth before Drinking and Before you Eat."

Ferg thanks ID for the money. "As I said I need to purchase a few minor items. I will be sure to tell NO ONE what the reasons are. I only need a few more days of rations to complete my needs for the 14 day journey so it shouldn't look suspicious. Should we meet back here in 1 hour?" He pockets the money and heads for the door to go to the market.
OOC-Ferg is on his way to purchase a few days rations (4) and a set of travel clothes. Not sure where the market is or what to expect.
Arc nods and heads for the door behind Ferg. Arc, seeing the slightly lost look in his eyes, says "do you want to go together to the market? I know some interesting vendors down this..." his words trail off feeling ID's eyes once again looking at him. Arc, realizing he was getting lost in thought continues, "let's just go to the main market, they'll have everything we need". He looks back at the rest of the team to see if they also want to join in the shopping trip.
“If we are to travel inconspicuously,” says Effulgyn, cocking his head just a bit and searching for answers on the ceiling, seemingly, “we need a story.” Continuing, he ruminates, “We used to meet at a local pub, the Meadowlarks and I, and pretended to play whist so the sherif wouldn’t suspect we were actually there to discuss grievances.” Then to the room he asks, “Any ideas? We can buy any, what are they —props?—we might need to reinforce the disguise when we purchase rations at the market.”
Most of the shops you would want can be easily found in the Merchant's Mile near Pun Arena. A map can be found here with the following shops already cannon:
Ti Bladwell's Metalworks
The Smiling Chicken Food Mart
Mariner's Mage Armoury and Magic Shoppe
Traveler's Fancy - Room Board & More
The Black Hoof tavern
Pincy's Potent Potables
If you wish to add a shop or a guild for your character's purposes please let me know and it will be part of the game forevermore!
