Caine falls backwards as the armour slams down at him. He still gets clipped by the heavily clad fists but this propels him  even farther backwards, knocking him out of range of the second blow.

Jim fires another arrow at the armour.

"better save my breath for now, come on papa needs a new mining pick!!!"

Frustrated with his powers, Razi in instead raises his light hammer, still illuminated with his light cantrip (a 'light hammer,' if you will) and brings it down on the armor.  Attack: 13 Damage: 4

After Caine scrambles out of the way of the armor, he drops his bow, draws his rapier and tries a different approach at getting through the kinks in this constructs defenses.

Rapier: Attack: 7 Damage: 5  plus Sneak Attack Damage: 1  

"Yeah!  Alright!"  Razi high fives anyone who will cooperate and then runs his hands through his wild hair as he calms down.  He proceeds to clap a few times and pat everyone on the back.  "Good job.  Great job.  Nice work keeping it occupied down there, Sleet.  Nice shooting, everyone.  Whew."  He looks around the third-floor landing.  "So.  That was wild, huh?  Suit of armor just... comes alive and attacks us, huh?  Crazy stuff, crazy stuff."  He has a look on his face that is all smile, but his eyes look tormented.

"Anyone have a plan?"

Caine winces a little when he moves his shoulder where the armour hit him but he quickly moves over and sees if he can salvage any of his arrows sticking out of this thing.

Jim returns the high five with Razi before looking around, "Anyone see where that dog got to in all of that of kerfuffle? I would have for anything bad to have happened to little guy."

Nelyna smiles at Razi's enthusiasm. She returns the high five a little shyly. 

"I have to admit I wasn't expecting a suit of armor to come to life and attack us," she says. 

As Jim mentions the dog, Nelyna gasps and looks around. She hopes the poor thing hasn't run away in fright. 

"Let's find a way out of here, the idea of being eaten by a pack of wolves is almost comforting at this point.  When that thing hit me, I thought I was a ferret food." 

Caine manages to gather his arrows and sees they have minimal damage 

"Alright, that was a learning experience," Caine says with a smile.

He looks around the landing more closely. 

"Something that strong guarding this hallway gives me hope that we might find something valuable here."

Caine quickly scans for secret panels or bookcases or the like.

Perception: 5  

Failing to find anything, Caine makes sure the lamps are all lit and then checks to see if there are any doors out of this hallway.

(Would say that if a DM makes that offer you take it. Caine already has that whopping 8 rolled so he's happy he rediscovered the stairs and doors).
