Cat attacks 23 Damage: 9 with her short bow again

Drux shifts a bit to find a good angle to release a couple more daggers.

Ashlynn pokes her head out of cover and shoots her arrow again, clearly very nervous.

Piers gives a quick scan of the room. Finding the mind flayer nowhere, he walks to where the battered young Floon is. In his hand are several goodberries. "Floon, right? We're here to get you back home. Here. This berry heals and fills you up a good bit."

"There's some for all of you as well; I imagine you've had quite a long day." He offers the berries to the rest of the group as well.

Cat looks amazed at how precise the shot was from Ashlynn. "Wow, um lets get Floon and go." She investigates the area including Floon

Drux helps Cat with the investigation.

Idoza holds up a hand and shakes her head. "The offer is appreciated, but unnecessary. It has been a long hour or so at most. But once we're out of here, all will be well."  She assured while doing a cursory look about for the mind flayer. Seeing nothing however, she soon went over to Floon intending to help the man up if he proved still conscious. And if not, she tries to bring him back to it in a healing touch before trying to get the man to his feet. 

But if even that didn't work, Idoza had little qualms about getting her gear situated while the others looked about the area, fully intending on placing Floon on her shoulder.

With the advantage 10/19 investigation she also checks floon for things like illusions  to see if somethings amiss.

(She takes the berries) "Thanks, I heard these stave off hunger."

Ashlynn looks at her bow in shock and at the creature, her hands trembling. After a few moments she snaps out of it and hurries forward to see if she can help. "Um... if we found Floon we should be hurrying out of here right?" She carefully avoids the brain creature by a large margin and avoids looking at it or the orc wizard. 

Cat says to Ashlynn "Just checking, trust but verify. For all I know this is some hobgoblin with a spell on it."

She also nicks the wizards things a spell book is a treasured thing.

She looks around just incase she missed something.

23 Perception

Piers helps look around once Floon is alright and accounted for. Perception+Guidance: 21

Piers crouches down next to him. "They took you prisoner after mistaking you for someone else. The one who tortured you is dead; his master escaped. Perhaps fortunately so; I don't believe we could have fought him and lived."

At the mention of the torturer, Idoza helpfully directs Floon's attention to the Half-Orc's corpse being presumably ransacked by Cat at just that moment. "Tyr has seen to it that justice has been met out. Though not as clean as would be normal." She smirked, then looked to Ashlynn. "You raise a fair point. While it is probably unnecessary for that 'thing' from before to do so, ,I would not so readily put it past it to scrounge up more ne'er-do-wells to help resecure this place." 

Her attention then shifts back to Floon. "Do you think you can stand? If so, I hope you do not mind us making our exit with some expediency." She said while Drux and Cat are hopefully by then finishing up their search of the immediate area. 

ooc: I guess my 19 investigation didn't produce anything

IC: "Yeah lets get out of here while we can! Gruk if he can't walk. Carry him will ya please." she waits for the results of her statement and

does so back to the Porthole with the group. She'll untie Floon if need be.

Drux moves towards the path back. Not far, just close enough to start keeping an eye out for anyone coming from behind.
