Ankita looks at the rooms that have been opened on the ground floor by her squad, and realizes the spacing doesn’t seem right in the SW corner of the dining room, so she investigates that area to see if she is missing something, Investigation: 18
Based on the layout of the rooms, you're confident there should a very small room or closet space in the area you're searching but you aren't able to find any entrances or mechanisms to reveal an entrance, hidden or otherwise. You file this peculiar layout anomaly away for later.
Interesting… maybe a chase or something? She realizes most are on the ground floor and decides to go upstairs to make sure Summer is ok. But when she reaches the next floor, she doesn’t know Summer kept going, so she opens the first door on her right, “Summer?”
Zindarik - You join Ankita in searching the first floor and together you find no evidence of a secret door. The layout of the rooms suggests there could be a small hidden room or closet but you're both fairly confident that the means of accessing it is not on the first floor.
Ankita & Summer - An undecorated bedroom contains a pair of beds with straw-stuffed mattresses. At the foot of each bed is an empty footlocker. Tidy servants’ uniforms hang from hooks in the adjoining closet.
Ankita goes into the room and checks out the dumbwaiter in the SE corner of the room. Afterwards, she goes back in the hallway and opens the N set of double doors and checks out that room.
Ankita - The dumbwaiter shaft is full of cobwebs, but otherwise empty. The dumbwaiter itself still appears to be on the first floor. Opening the north set of doors you find that red velvet drapes cover the windows of the room beyond. An exquisite mahogany desk and a matching high-back chair face the entrance and the fireplace, above which hangs a framed picture of a windmill perched atop a rocky crag. Situated in corners of the room are two overstuffed chairs. Floor-to-ceiling bookshelves line the south wall. A rolling wooden ladder allows one to more easily reach the high shelves.
Ankita - The desk has several items resting atop it: an oil lamp, a jar of ink, a quill pen, a tinderbox, and a letter kit containing a red wax candle, four blank sheets of parchment, and a wooden seal bearing a windmill insignia. The desk drawer is empty except for an iron key.
The bookshelves hold hundreds of tomes covering a range of topics including history, warfare, and alchemy. There are also several shelves containing first-edition collected works of poetry and fiction. As you inspect the bookshelf in the northeastern part of the room, a book bound in red leather catches your eye. It stands out simply because it appears to be the only book in the entire collection that bears no title on its spine.
Ankita pockets the iron key and when at the bookshelves, she finds it odd that the red leather book has no title. She takes it from it's spot and opens it up.
Ankita - When you pull on the book you can feel that it is connected to a mechanism of some sort. You hear a K'CHUNK and the book case swings outward a couple of inches. A musty smell wafts from beyond, coupled with the cough inducing scent of something long-dead.
Baldwin - Gossamer drapes cover the windows of this elegantly appointed hall, which has a brass-plated chandelier hanging from the ceiling. Upholstered chairs line the walls, and stained-glass wall hangings depict beautiful men, women, and children singing and playing instruments. A harpsichord with a bench rests in the northwest corner. Near the fireplace is a large standing harp. Alabaster figurines of well-dressed dancers adorn the mantelpiece.

"Never mind, it tastes like air" Baldwin moves around the kitchen and checks out the dumbwaiter
Investigation check: 7
Speaking loudly enough for all to hear, Zindarik calls out, "The noise...the creature...it seems to be beneath us."
He then begins (hopefully, with some help from another, methodically to check the walls and floor of the main hall for any signs of secret doors...
(Perception: 15 (w/ advantage, assuming at least one other member of black squad assists in the search)

To Summer, ”Nothing so far, but it would be good to check out this floor next”
and she goes through the door by the staircase on the 2nd floor.

Finding no basement access on the ground floor, Zindark makes his way up the stairs to join Ankita and Summer.
