Ev’alish pokes the dead goblins with his pike before setting it aside. “Thus, another threat hath found its end. Thy hath exemplary teamwork, froiends. I fear, I cannot perform that ice breath technique again ‘till the next dawn - I shall make do without. Now, we move onward.”
Khessa quickly checks the bodies of the two dead goblins, then she compliments guards and party and resumes her position at Ev'alish 's side heading to the next building.
Ev’alish turns to his companion, uncovering an amulet around his neck - a dragon’s head. “‘Tis a gift from the lord of all metal dragons, Bahamut. He hath given me the strength to free myself from my eternal prison, and with it came the power that allows me to channel a silver dragon’s icy breath.”
Kramyra checks the rafters and seeing nothing, she leaps down to the rest of the group. She quietly cleans her paws a bit, then says, “Alright all, on to the next. At this pace, we should have all these buildings cleared out soon. Then we’ll have to figure out what to do about this Nightstone.” She joins Ev’alish and Khessa as they all gather to head to the next area.
"This Nightstone seems really intriguing to me, mistress Kramyra" admits Khessa, curiosity and excitement shining in her blue eyes. "If the giants were so interested in it, it must be somewhat magical. We should bring it back here, in Nightstone, since it is sacred for the villagers... but it will also be worthy to study it a bit in the process. The giant went off in a flying citadel... which, sadly, does not leave tracks... but many people should have spotted it in the sky. Maybe we will able to find out where it went. But the first thing we should do once the village is freed... is to go to fetch the villagers! And maybe help them a little to get things back moving in their village. With the death of Lady Velrosa Nandar, they are without a guide. They will need some advice about how to survive, how to defend, how to develop the village... I do not know how long they wuould last, if left to themselves like they now are. I really WANT this village to survive. My own village did not have a chance, but this one, at least, must have one"
"We came to face giants... I did not expect flying citadels, but... what would you do now? Give up? We will have to put to good use whatever we have to get the job done. Hey," she winks "maybe you can simply talk to them and convince them to give the stone back and amend for their crimes. Who says we always have to win battles using violence?"
“Well… a little bit of violence sounds okay to me.” Kan says a bit forcefully, and begins handling his tools in a fashion as though he’s working on something in his head.
The silver dragonborn looks up into the sky, as if visualizing the attacking giants. "Indeed. The villagers must be retrieved once the village is secured. Our next path will be determined then."
Ev'alish ruminates quietly. "The giants did not 'sit down and talk' with the people of Nightstone 'fore they attacked and destroyed it. They deserve to have their own stone cast upon them, and punished hence."
“Ah yes, the villagers.” Kramyra appears a little distraught having more to do before chasing this mystery.
She knows Khessa is right and will follow suit, and Kan has a good point, how are they going to get to the flying citadel? Or find it for that matter? Maybe one of the villagers will have some insight to finding the Nightstone.
Khessa does not wait for the enemies to spot someone: she quickly mutters the mysterious words of her favorite cantrip and, after an elegant gesture, a bolt of fire shots from her outstretched hand towards the nearest goblin:
Attack: 23 Damage: 6
Hoping they can understand, she threatens them: "You are the last invaders standing!" (she does not know if it is the truth, but she says so all the same) "Outnumbered! And with no way to leave! I'd surrender, if I were in your place. What about weapons down and hands up?"
Khessa comes nearer: "Well, well... question time then. First question: you came here in the village after the attack of the giants. Were you in league with them? And, if not, how it is that you came? Without the attack of the giants, you would have had much trouble with the palisade, the drawbridge and the guards... If you have come, I believe it is likely that you have had some clue that the village's defence was crippled. How did you know?"

Gryrim overhears the questioning from Khessa and walks up behind her. Adding his presence to her questions he merely states "I've thrown rough heads like you from taverns all up the coast for far less than lyin' to a lady. Let's just say you better answer the lass' questions truthfully or I'll know." He grinds a fist into his palm in a threatening manner

Kramyra tries to climb some of the rafters that are not covered in ice and see if there was anything up there that the goblins were interested in.
Khessa quickly checks the bodies of the two dead goblins, then she compliments guards and party and resumes her position at Ev'alish 's side heading to the next building.
Kan coughs and comes out from hiding behind everyone.
“Pretty extraordinary talents, I must say. Ev’alish, I have to say I find myself interested in how you managed that.”

Kan listens to Khessa talk before adding quietly.
“You don’t think small, that’s for sure. Giants… flying city… not sure how we’d even get to it.”

While Khessa has the goblins right where she wants them, Kramyra starts walking the perimeter and making sure there is nothing around to surprise them
