Gryrim watches in awe as the clouds themselves seem to offer a route to vengeance. For the destruction brought to many towns, his own included, by these giants lay heavy on his mind. Now these same destroyers of cities seemed to beckon to the group. The burly bartend wastes no time and rushes up the stairs with no regards to whether he fell or not.
Kramyra appreciates Khessa's kind words back in Nightstone. She thanks her for her time, but tells her to go back to the festivities, we can talk another time.
As the cloud castle descends their stairs towards them, she watches quietly and hopes that Khessa sends her children home. She worries for them out in this area all by themselves. But she heads up the stairs with the rest of them.
Khessa is pleased that all the Cabbage Patch Companions are following her up: "So it is all for one and one for all".
But she is also part worried, at the same time... Let's hope the impressions of Kan were right, like I thought they were. Should this be a trap instead, we'd be all caught in it. The arcane warrior does not say anything about this, however. She simply keeps to play the part of the calm one, of the one in control of herself. If the giants are somehow 'testing' them, she does not want to look too worried... lest they should deam her weak.
Ev'alish stands at the front. "...caution. We must exercise caution here. I dislike it, but alas we are in no position to fight them at the moment or make threats."
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
After Ev'alish opens the door, Khessa comes to his side: "I think they also prefer, for some reason, neither to fight nor to threaten... else, they would have done it already, just as they did in Nightstone. So, even if I have no idea why, maybe we are in a less weak position than we should".
The tall warrior-mage looks inside the room. If too dim litted, she casts a Light spell to see better. She takes her time to look everywhere from the theshold, before deciding wheter to enter or not... both out of curiosity and out of caution (since she does not know what to expect inside a flying fortress)!
(Perception, if needed: 20)
If nobody is in sight, she calls out: "That cloud stairs looked really like an invitation... and we answered. And now what? Are you, our host, too shy to come and greet us? We do not intend to do any harm... It's not WE that go around bombarding villages with falling rocks, after all".
While Khessa listens to the conversation between Ev'alish and Zephyros, she keeps scanning the room with her 19 perception.
The giant floats down... from where? Rafters? Or was simply there, near the ceiling? What there is in the room? Has furniture or is empty? There are windows? There are other exits? There is something special that catches Khessa's attention?

The silver-scaled dragonborn gazes up at the giant. Half of him is rather puzzled by this. But the other half is serious, as he asks:
"We hath a destination, however we art curious about one thing. Days ago the residents of Nightstone, over yonder..." he points in the direction of the small town "...hath found rocks dropped on their town from a castle in the cloudes, and their precious namesake stone stolen by giants. Perchance, doth thy know anything about this? Hath thee attacked Nightstone?"
The longer the conversation goes on, the more Khessa is puzzled. Which planar entities would speak with a giant... of the Cabbage Patch Companions?!
I mean, we are good, granted, but still not so well known; our renown can not possibly have reached other dimensions...
Wich forces are really at play here?
Anyway, Khessa's feminine instinct would make her trust their host. He is a giant who would have a good chance of crushing them with a blow or two; plus he has magical powers: he has reached them by levitating, he has talked to extraplanar entities ... If he wanted to kill them, he would not need to invent such an unlikely story. In a straight fight, he would have good chances to prevail. He probably really believes what he says. And the arcane warrior grows more and more interested in finding out what he knows.
(OOC: @DM: may we have a description of the room? Just what contains, if has other exits, if has windows... and if Khessa discovered something special with her perception roll. You know, this conversation is thrilling and by all means I wish it to go on, but I'm still having a hard time picturing in my mind the environment where it takes place.)
Kramyra watches in wonder while the giant converses with Eva'lish. What in the world would giants want with them? And yes, good question, Eva'lish on getting right to the point about Nightstone. She waits for the giants response.
Khessa comes to Ev'alish's side, pushing the stone chair; she then climbs on top of it and smiles to the giant, holding out her hand to him for an handshake (since she is on the giant-sized chair now, Zephyros should not be forced to bow too much to shake her hand...): "I'm Khessa and it is also an honor for us all to meet someone like you, Zephyros: a giant that does not see the common folk as insects to crush at will! If your suspicions are well founded, we should really exchange a few words with this 'Countess Sansuri' you spoke of. You know," sadness darkens her voice and her expression for a moment "many lives came to an early end because of what she did. It is not something we are going to forget. Do you have any idea where we could find her? Or you know, at least, why did she develop an interest for the Nightstone? Was that stone magical?"
Ev'alish feels the truth in Zephyros' words, and drops to his knees in shame. "...forgiveth me for mine assumptions, Master Zephyros. I hath assumed the worst, but thy words ring true to me. We would be honored for thy help in bringing justice to this Countess for her actions."

Ev'alish heads up the clouds at speed, if only to be near the front. Giants were strong creatures and he wouldn't allow his new companions to be hurt!

Ev'alish stands before the giant. He nods his head in acknowledgement, and addresses him politely, but he does not bow or kneel.
He does not bow to murderers.
"I art known as Ev'alish. Who art thou, and why hath you summoned us?"

Kan gives a practiced, courtly bow.

Kan holds up his hands in a “time-out” gesture. “Wait, who told you about us? What did they say?”
