Khessa's blue eyes shine delighted of how Sorjen is taking the joke. She finds him always so... serious... Not that she is the one that should complain: she also can become much less joke-inclined, when the painful memories of her past bite her! But she never stays sad for too long, because she never gives up hope. With a group of people as capable as her newfound friends, it would be easier, for her, to come back in the underdark, in the future, and free her family... And Jor already promised to help!
Entering the temple, she stares in awe for a while: the paintings, the tapestry and the stained glass windows are small wonders to her. Her village was even smaller than Nightstone and had only a far humbler temple, a small shrine to Chantea, the Grain Mother (or the Grain and Cabbages Mother, as her father and she used to call her).
Forcing herself finally to focus back on the current situation, she takes place on the side of the open door, to be able to backup the ranger should something go poorly.
Silent like a shadow he approached the door, daring to give but a fast glance through its opening. Fortunately, it was enough for the ranger too see what lied beyond. A simple room, its floor covered by two open chests pouring clothes and other personal objects, straw of a vandalized mattress, a wooden bed, and the source of the noise. So there are our riders, he thought looking at two goblins absorbed into pulling what he supposed to be the bell’s rope.
Sorjen retreated briefly from the door, sheathing his offhand weapon, open the free palm, rising and waving his arm. As his companions looked at him, he put the index finger over his lips asking for silence. Then he showed two fingers and used them to point into the doors direction, signalizing both number and location of the enemies.
The half-elf nodded his head stern, signalizing his intent to attack. He waits until his friends are almost into his blade’s range before unsheathing the second short word pushing the door and running into the direction of the closest of the goblins. As the creature is in range, Sorjen unleashed an attack from his main hand and a second one from his offhand.

Kramyra watches as Sorjen attacks the unsuspecting goblins and once he has completed his attack, she slides through the open door to within 10 feet of the closest goblin and attacks him with poison spray. Afterwards she retreats back through the door and watches closely.
Khessa was trying to signal to get out, instead of attacking: the two goblins inside were most likely doing to the party a favor, causing all that commotion. The tracks at village entrance belonged to a dozen goblins, not only two... this means still many goblins in the village. With the big noise of the bell, the other goblins would have been a harder time communicating and cohordinating efforts.
"Oh, males!" she thinks, clenching her fists on the hilt of her big weapon, a little frustrated that Sorjen did not see or did not understand her gestures "Well, now, that's not what I would have done, but I'll try to help to do it quickly. We are together, we strike together"
Khessa storms to Sorjen's side and slashes at the most wounded of the two goblins (or at the same that the half-elf has hit, if it is hard to tell the difference):
“Well that was fast. Might be best to question before killing? Just a thought.” And she goes into the room and starts checking the goblins to see what they have.
Ev'alish lowers his pike, turning to Kramyra. He looks rather grim. "Perhaps. The thought hadn't crossed my mind but is something we should probably do in the future."
"There's more of them, undoubtedly. These two decided to celebrate after likely participating in the carnage that leveled much of this town, but the footprints outside the city show more."
“Agreed Ev’alish. Shall we check the next building and see what we find? I’m glad there weren’t any villagers in here, I hope most escaped.” Kramyra looks up to Ev’alish as she goes through the goblins and starts going through the other items in the room.
The silver-scaled dragonborn places a hand to his chin thoughtfully once he returns from scouting. "Methinks we should leaveth these findings here; the people of this village surely hath enough of a rough day without returning to find that their valuables hath been stolen."
(Can I have Kan attempt to rig a weight of some kind to keep the bells ringing with the materials at hand? Perhaps goblin bodies or something? I don’t want the lack of ringing to give our presence away)
Khessa is impressed by the performance of the Tabaxi wizard: "Wow Kramyra... It always amaze me how wonderful and deadly mages's spells can be. A few short words, a barely hinted gesture... and a cloud of... something (what it was, by the way?)... took out a goblin all by itself. While the other goblin needed two good blade hits to be taken down! I wonder if I might be able to learn some of your... art, someday".
"As far as questioning is concerned," Khessa focuses back on the present situation "I think it is a good idea, but I'd try it only after culling the number of goblins some more. According to the track, they should have been a dozen... While goblins are fragmented in small groups, as we see, they are an easy prey. I'd like to avoid some of them escaping and warning the others. I'd save the questioning only for the last group that we will meet".
Khessa then smiles: "I too am relievd that no villagers were here. The other tracks we found at village's entrance must have been the ones of escaped villagers. They must have fled instead of fighting... scared either by giants or by goblins. And with reason! Peaceful villagers would have been hopeless against opponents used to violence. Must have happened recently. I hope they are well! If only my brother Anator had had the same good sense..." another time a shadow veils his eyes with sadness, her painful past biting her. But Khessa fights again against that. She knows she can not do anything for her brother. But she can do something for the helpless people of Nightstone: "We will free Nightstone, then looking for the survivors. I think next building we should check is the big one on the other side of the square. It is near and can look like a good place to loot, from goblin's point of view." Furtively wipes a tear from his eyes, then she is already smiling at Ev’alish: "And yes, our silver warrior here is quite right, we'd better avoid to be looters as well. What we find here in the village should be left to villagers".
She is also pleased of Kan's attempt to keep the bell ringing: "Good idea Kan! A proper weight, with an initial pull, could lower the rope and make the bell ring... then the weithg of the bell could lift the weight... and the thing could go on for a while. So we could still have some time of bell-ringing to cover us". She helps him to find a weight that might work. Whether we succeed or not, Khessa leads then the group to the big building (unless someone proposes to do otherwise), possibly from a side without windows, trying to assess the available access points.
Kramyra looks at the human with interest. She has never met anyone like her before. Honestly, she hasn't run across many humans in her life, maybe they are all like this? At least this one sure likes to talk a lot. She gives Khessa a smile in response to the compliment, "Just a bit a poison. Art, hmm, that's not what they called it where I am from. Thank you for your kind words." She agrees with the sentiment of leaving things with the villagers, was just looking for some hint of what was going on here.
Kramyra waits while the others rig up the bell puller and follows the group as they head to the big building.
"When we'll have a bit more time..." Khessa seems to search for the right words, speaking to Kramyra "...would you try to... teach me... train me... I mean... I think I could like to learn that things... Do you think it would be possible? I'm always been told I'm good at learning..."
Kramyra raises an eyebrow at Khessa - though not sure it's visible under the fur. "Interesting proposal. Let's focus on the task at hand then we can return to that."
