The giant is unaffected, staying where he is. Zephyros beckons for you to go inside. "I can handle the giant, but you could get trampled or crushed by a falling rock. Go inside, and I will rejoin you in just a minute."
'So much for the no violence approach' thinks Khessa, who is already inside. 'And for the illusory severed head trick also'.
"Zephyros, I already called you a fiend of mine" the blonde arcane warrior declares "and I do not let my friends down. If it gets rough, come inside; the giant will be forced to land, if he wants to follow you, and I'll keep him away from you for as long as I can, while you finish him off with spells"
She also in the meantime brings the giant chair to the entrance of the tower and, taking as much cover as she can, shoots a Fire Bolt at the giant.
Ev’alish, with no ranged weapons to support with from inside the tower, watches with bated breath as Zephyros goes out to confront the giant. He turns to his other companions, who have spells and weapons aplenty. “In the event our foe closes the distance, it would be ideal for thee to assist Master Zephyros in the battle with ranged attacks from the tower. Alas I cannot provide such a defense, and I lack the strength to confront the giant or its mount. I can only hope for the best.”
The dragonborn kneels down on the floor of the tower away from everyone else, a prayer emanating from him in the draconic tongue. It flows smoothly, unlike his antiquated common dialect. He shuts his eyes.
(“Blessed lord of all dragons, Bahamut. I pray that Master Zephyros may prevail in defending himself from the relentless assault of those who wish to unjustly take his life. Send him your aid and allow him to survive another day, so that we may continue our quest to safeguard this realm in your name. This, I humbly request of you, my lord.”)
Kan waits til everyone is gathered before revealing a strange device, a wrist band which connects to a grip. He takes a small, flat, square shaped wooden token with arcane designs and loads it into a slot on the wrist band. A tiny metal shield appears around the grip. Kan holds the grip aloft and an energy field surrounds each ally, granting 9 temp hp to everyone
Feeling the energy surrounding her, Khessa turns a moment and smiles: "Thanks Kan!"
Then, to the other magic users of the Cabbage Patch Companions: "Gryrim, Mistress Kramyra... if you wish to try a shot at our big guest, you can take cover here... Plenty of space behind the giant-sized chair".
The field of energy gives the dragonborn a bit more resolve, and he stands, nodding in thanks to Kan. At his side he now holds a javelin - the giant would have to be VERY close for it to land, but he would not stand by while his comrades repelled this threat.

Being a little timid to get back out to a fight after almost dying, Kramyra eventually comes out to assist and hides behind the chair. Sending out her chill touch, she attacks the flying giant with a skeletal hand...

Annoyed that her first hit barely did anything, she heads out and reaches over the clouds making sure her spell will hit, holds her palms together fingers splayed and casts burning hands letting the flames do their work
Khessa realizes that the Desert Giant is only 15 feet from the cloud's edge... and that he's too big and heavy for her to push him over the edge, but... the blonde arcane warrior remembers how the blasts of Gryrim previously pushed the enemies back after hitting them...
"Lad!" she whispers at the dwarf "Do you think that your blasts can push the big guy back like they did with some of the cultists days ago? If yes, it should be just a matter of a pair of hits before he is history..."
The dragonborn nods. "I, too, hath a mind to solve this without further violence. We shalt see how he responds."

"Mayhaps I shalt attack the giant at close range on his flank; to take his attention toward me and away from Master Zephyros would be deadly for him."
He steels his will and rages, giving 2 thp to all allies within 10 ft of him. Hopefully that includes Zephyros.
