Wrenn shyly stands in the back keeping an eye out for danger not trusting someone who's first words to you are I mean you no harm
Thinking All this for tracking down a litter bug he wishes he was back in his burrow by the fire place, on the pillow he used as a bed and couch. He wonders how the parchment ended up in is burrow there were no holes in the top of the stump, well there was a chimney. Musta blew in the entrance He hopes Cheep his ferret friend keeps everything away course he knows she'll protect her cubs at all cost.
At the words of the stranger he blurts out "Wrenn" then covers his mouth, remembering he wanted to be unnoticed.
Arthur smiles and lets out a bit of a hearty chuckly, "I'm sorry, but you seem to be a little confused about what's going on here. Let me explain, I'm not the owner of this manor. If I was, I probably would not be talking to you now. You see, my husband and I are investigators, and we're investigating the disappearances of the family that owns this manor."
He then looks back out through the door, to Sarone, "I don't know what information you are looking for, but come on in out of that dreadful weather. We're just setting up in the parlour."
He then turns away from the door heading to the door at the back of the room.
The foyer that you are entering has peeling wallpaper and a musty scent cling to the walls of this spacious foyer. A curving staircase rises from the cracked tile floor to a balcony above, keeping its distance from a darkened chandelier. Doors lead in every direction. At the room’s centre, a bronze sculpture of an antlered eagle perches atop a marble pedestal.

"Well isn't that something!" Bigan would heed Arthur's request and follows him to the parlor, looking around the home and admiring the eagle as they walk by.. "While the storm passes, I would be happy to help you and your husband with your investigation."
((Anything notable on the outside of the house, the front left and right side were quickly examined, and then Sharone returned to the group.))
Sharone walks in, taking in everything. She looks quickly around, taking in everything. "Setting up in the parlour? Do you have equipment for the investigation? Do you have any clues thus far?"

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
Misira follows the rest in, looking at the interesting decor and foyer. She takes a moment to check out the interesting statue, can she recall what this is? She isn’t sure with all that has happened since she left her makeshift home. She turns to Arthur, “How long has the family been missing?”
(Yea, just a quick check of the outside of the house just reveals the presence of two sets of double doors on either side.)
You follow Arthur into the parlour. Dozens of faded portraits cover this parlour’s walls, the subjects’ eyes fixed on a circular table that bears an ornate spirit board. A wide mirror hangs over a tall fireplace set in the north wall. Another man sits in a chair by the table looking over the spirit board.
"Well, if you are willing to help, we can pay you twenty gold pieces every day, for each of you," the man spins his chair around and you realise that the chair moves on two large wheels. The man has blonde hair that is combed to have a parting down the middle and behind his pointy ears. You realise that this man is an elf. He wears a pair of red triangular glasses which mostly conceals his eyes. Around his neck, he wears a pale blue scarf. He wears a dark brown pair of trousers with a matching waistcoat over a black shirt. He wears a light brown leather coat with brown leather boots.
"I am Alanik Ray. As for tools, this spirit board will be a most useful tool in contacting the dead residing in this house, if we can find the planchette."
Arthur turns to Wrenn, "Why would we be shapeshifters?"
"The Halvherst family disappeared centuries ago."

“Yes, Bigan here has the planchette, very strange with bird skulls on it.” Misira continues, “Missing for centuries? Why the interest now? Has something happened? And so we’re basically going on a ghost hunt or trying to find out what happened to them?”
The two men look at each other before Alanik speaks, "Well we're investigators."
And that's all that they offer in regards to why they are now looking for the missing family.
Then Alanik speaks again,"Let's see that planchette. It will take me a moment to try and figure out how the spirit board works. However, Arthur has a map..."
Arthur reaches into his pocket a pulls out some folded parchment which unfolds and layouts out on the table.
"We've marked out the rooms with different numbers. We had planned to go through each room ourselves and cross out the number for each room that we have investigated.
However, now that you are all here, I would like to request that you explore the rooms whilst Arthur and I try to contact the spirits. If anything happens, we will call for you.
We're currently in room three the parlour, and room two you just walked through."
Bigan would hand over the planchette and peer over to view the map of the manor carefully. "I believe we should start from the hall to the right, travel down and around. What do you all think?"

“Wow, that is quite the map - this is quite the house”, Misira takes another look at the parlor they are in with a new appreciation. It has been some time since she was in a place like this, even though it is in bad disrepair, she is very impressed. Bigan takes her out of her revelry, “Agreed, lets go with that plan and start investigating.” And not one to wait around, she leaves the parlor and enters room 9 to take a look around.

Sharone walks behind Misira, hand on her sword hilt, walks into room 9 and takes a look, also examining and listening to the door to the south. She whispers "No one hiding here, right?"

Speaking loudly Wrenn says "So we're at number 3 right now right? And you haven't entered any of the rooms but this one? You guys better let me check for traps and things before running headlong into them."
You leave Arthur and Alanik to study over the spirit board with the use of the planchette, whilst you head through the door to the right. On the other side of the door, you find a hall. The hall is lined with broken picture frames, whilst a rug with a dizzying geometric pattern covers the floor. In one corner stands a tall closet.
Sharone fails to spot anything unusual or strange about this hall.

Bigan groans, keeping his gaze leveled as to keep it from getting disoriented from the dizzying pattern; Bigan gets disoriented fairly easy. Out of curiosity, Bigan would approach the closet and peer inside with his axe over his shoulder.
“Down and around, right? Let’s get this over with.” As Bigan checks out the hall closet, Misira heads down and opens the door to the South and goes in.

Lyreth tries her best to wring out the water from her hair and clothes before stepping inside. It would be rude to track in a puddle.
"Greetings, we were caught out in the rain, I'm Lyreth, " she smiles at the man.
