Before returning to the library, Day will summon Fawx and send him to the staircase to the third floor. He’ll lean against the doorway and concentrate, allowing him to see and hear through Fawx. The familiar will then continue up the stairs and survey the area.
While he waits for those interested in searching the book room to finish, Xai'Bo will wait outside the door with Day and Mavis. Intrigued by the metal statues with the heads of wolves, he will take a closer look at one of them, tapping its head lightly with his staff.

"In all honesty it might have been something falling behind them or an animal in the wall." Sirron chuckled nervously and made his way back to the doorway of the library. He didn't want to admit it but the possibility of a magical clicking book did peak his interest even though he doubted that such a thing actually existed. He stopped for a moment and looked at the group outside of the room for a moment before taking a breath.
"Think we might find something that could prove useful in there?" He questioned before finally taking a couple steps into the library. He cautiously approached the desk and was going to attempt to search it when he heard a rather familiar sound. "Melantha... is everything alright?"
Perception (to see if Sirron notices what Melantha is trying to do?) : 13
Sirron would hear a light set of grunts near one of the shelves. Suddenly, Melantha stormed out from around a section, looking around the floor for something. They suddenly look up to see Sirron.
"Ey! You're taller than a stool! May you help me pull out this book?" They pointed to where they came from.
As soon as Sirron saw them storm out from a section he let out a relieved sigh. "I've seen some pretty tall stools before... but I guess I am taller than an average stool." He scratched the back of his neck slightly as a faint laugh escaped his lips. Then he glanced towards the direction they had just come from and nodded ever so slightly.
" Of course I can help you pull out the book. Although when you say help do you want me lift you up so you can pull it out or do you want me to pull it?" He questioned as he began to walk towards where they had been pointing.
Fawx quickly comes to a dusty balcony with a suit of black plate armor standing against one wall, draped in cobwebs. Unlit oil lamps are mounted on the oak-paneled walls, which here are carved with woodland scenes of trees, falling leaves, and tiny critters. The dust is thick and choking here, and the area is littered with cobwebs. It hasn't been cleaned in a long time.
There are three doors here, two to the north, one to the east, and one to the west.
Ruel ears pricked up, stood at the stairs next to Xai'Bo, Mavis and Day "Not really we studied the basics at the monastery, but I wasn't the greatest student."
Ruel vaguely remembered stuffy lessons when all he wanted to do was get out and practice with the sword.
Sirron nodded slightly when he heard Melantha's response and grinned slightly.
"That is a good point, it would be quicker to just pull it out. I just hope that something bad doesn't happen after we remove the book from it's spot." He paused for a moment and looked towards the book they were pointing to.
"Maybe I'm just overthinking it. Okay, I'll pull it..." Sirron trails off as he reaches for the book. "Perhaps it might shed some light on what has been going on here, or maybe it's just a journal that was put on the shelf by accident."
There is a sharp click as you pull on the book, and you realise it is not really a book at all, but a lever attached to the shelf. A bookshelf swings open to reveal a secret room packed with more bookshelves. A heavy wooden chest with clawed iron feet stands against the south wall, its lid half-closed. Sticking out of the chest is a skeleton in leather armour, a letter clutched in its left hand.
Day snaps his senses back to his body and relays the description of the upper floor to the party members around him. “Looks like if anything is up there, it’s not taking care of the house. Did you discover anything of use in the library?”

((Are we down to 6 or is Oron just guarding the entrance to the house?))
((Oron is following. I'm just letting others lead the story here for now since I know this house.))
I don't have a signature.

Melantha paused for a brief second to think over Sirron's question.
"You pulling out book is quicker than picking me up." They concluded.
Returning to the section with Sirron, they point to a red book shelves among the other books.
"Pull that red one with no title, please please."

"I'm okay." Thorn insists.
"There shouldn't be anyone else here." Rose says, frowning. "A magic clicking book? We have a spellbook, but nothing like that."
(Stairs connect to each floor. You are currently on the second.)

You notice the armour has been carefully etched with faint runes.
(Make an Arcana check.)

Arcana: 13 (If allowed to cast and use Guidance: 3)
(No way that roll gets me anything!)
Xai'Bo turns around after spotting the unfamiliar runes on the suit of armour, and asks Mavis and Day, "Either of you know much about runes?".

You think the suits are enchanted, but you have no idea what for. They seem to be dormant.
"Mmm, secrets~"
Melantha's dashed towards the now-revealed secret room, but stopping just at the entrance to realize that a skeleton is partially stuck in the chest.
"...ah...ah S-sirron? O-oron??"
